With State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition just over a month away from arriving in stores, it’s time to start thinking about how you will survive the zombie apocalypse. Beautifully remastered in 1080p, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition comes equipped with along with new weapons, vehicles, and characters – all of which you’re going to need when night falls over Trumbull Valley. Today, we’re premiering the first trailer for State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition. Here’s more from the folks at Undead Labs:

"You may see something a little unusual about this new trailer for State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition. Well, besides the fact that it's all real in-game footage. (Everything you see is something that players can experience for themselves) No, the really unusual thing is that out of the hundreds of possible quotes from professional game reviewers, we only used one. All of the other quotes are taken from our player community.

That's because the community has been the heart of State of Decay from the beginning. Your feedback and evangelism have made the game what it is today, and you're playing a major role in where we'll go in the future. Many of the features found in YOSE that make the game enjoyable for new players can be traced back to changes suggested by players of the original State of Decay.

That's why there are so many gifts for people who choose to upgrade, such as a 33 percent discount, the exclusive hero Gurubani Kaur and her special weapons, and features such as the ability to transfer saved games from Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

Seeing the community reaction to a game is a high point for any developer, but especially for Undead Labs. At PAX South in January and PAX East a few weeks ago, we got to see you playing the game. As always, we came home fired up. We can promise revamped mechanics and enhanced graphics, but at the shows we watched you get excited about how smooth everything felt and how gorgeous it all looked. Adding weapons to the game is fun, but the best is seeing the glee as players carve up zombies with their new knives. Xbox One April System Update: Voice Messages, Party Chat Updates and More Now in Preview

Thanks to suggestions from our fans, we continue to focus on finding great ways to bring the Xbox community closer together. Over the past few months, we’ve introduced several features to make it easier to connect to friends and meet new people.

You may have noticed a few new features that rolled out to preview over the weekend, including game hub links and more detailed achievement notifications. Now this week, we’re bringing even more features to Xbox One in preview, making it easier to keep in touch with friends on Xbox One or Xbox 360.

Check out the list below for features in the April preview update that are starting to roll out tonight:

Voice messages

New this month is the No. 1 feature requested in the Friends and Parties area on the Xbox Feedback site > “Add audio message …” Xbox One preview program members will be able to compose and playback voice messages in the messages app when snapped on Xbox One. Quickly and easily record audio to send to your friends or others through your snapped messages app accessed through a simple quick double tap of the Xbox button. Additionally, voice messages can be exchanged between Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.

Dedicated servers for party chat

We are committed to continuing to make improvements to party chat, designed to improve quality, reliability, and ease of use. We’re enhancing party chat with dedicated chat relay servers. This new service will enable Xbox One owners that may have historically had NAT issues to party chat more reliably. Parties where players are unable to form direct peer-to-peer connections for party chat will automatically leverage dedicated server infrastructure to relay traffic.

What’s On

The Xbox engineering team is continuing to experiment with the What’s On area, which highlights popular games, movies, TV shows, game broadcasts and clips. What’s On has been available for preview members in the U.S. and this month, the preview of this feature is being expanded to Canada and the UK as well. Additionally, the “Staff Picks” are now more personalized based on your recent game activity, and we’re introducing new experiments with Twitter Trending TV, and Game Clips for subsets of the preview audience.

Super Time Force for Xbox One gets 'Ultra' update



Free Xbox One Ultra Update

Happy April 1st, members of the Super Time Force! Today we’re happy to announce that we’ve bent space-time in a way that has allowed us to provide a Free Ultra Update for all Xbox One players!

This update brings you the Helladeck, 50 new super fun challenge levels that will force (pun intended) you to use your time-rewinding brain in a different way.

The Ultra update also brings you the Ultra Force mode, an alternate style of time-forcing with extra-powerful, extra-asplosive versions of the Time Force team. But you gotta beat the game before you can wield this Ultra power.

Oh and we added some pretty challenging achievements as well, for all you hunters.

We’d like to thank everyone who has supported our crazy time-traveling platformer on Xbox One. Did we mention this big update is free? Cause it is.

Xbox One April System Update: Game Hub Links, What’s On and More Now Available

The April system update is rolling out today, bringing you another round of new features that will make your favorite Xbox One experiences even better. Whether you want easier access to game content, troubleshooting help with party chat or improved achievement notifications, we’ve got something for everyone this month.

Party chat improvements

Over the past few months, we’ve added additional icons and notifications within the party chat experience to help you understand your connection and microphone status. This month, party chat is being improved with troubleshooting guidance for Xbox One owners. The party app will help you get your microphone enabled and show you when privacy settings or networking issues are blocking communication with particular party members.

Game hub links

In February, we introduced game hubs where you can be the first to get news on upcoming updates, featured game clips, behind the scenes content and more. With this update, you can more easily discover game hub content from activity feed items. You’ll see activity feed items when any of your friends follow a game, and you’ll also be able to get back to a game’s hub from activity feed posts related to the game – including feed items about the game’s achievements, game clips and screenshots. Finally, we’ve added a link to game hubs from the game’s page in the achievements app.

Achievement notifications

Achievement notifications today display the achievement name and the gamerscore you just earned. With tonight’s update, you’ll also see the achievement’s description in the notification so you know what you did to earn this achievement without having to open the achievements app. Based on feedback from preview program members, we increased the time that an achievement notification is displayed and we also made some performance improvements to make loading the achievements app from a notification faster.

What’s On

The What’s On area is now available for Xbox One users in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. In it, you’ll find links to popular videos, games, movies, TV shows, game broadcasts and clips, along with Trending TV shows if you have configured OneGuide for your Xbox One console.

We are keeping voice messaging and dedicated servers for party chat in preview as we continue to fine-tune them based on feedback from preview program members.
