美国Xbox One 展开节庆档期限时促销单机与游戏同梱组降价50 美元

　　微软宣布，将自11 月2 日起至明年1 月3 日期间在美国展开Xbox One 的节庆档期限时降价促销活动，不含Kinect 感测器的Xbox One 主机（包括单机版与游戏同梱组）价格将从399 美元调降至349 美元（约新台币10625 元），降价50 美元，降幅约12.5%​​（价格为未税价）。 

   

 
　　本次的促销活动仅限美国，降价的对象为不含Kinect 感测器的Xbox One 主机，不只是单机，还包括《刺客教条：大革命》游戏同梱组与《落日飙神》白色主机游戏同梱组，另外《决胜时刻：先进战争》特制主机游戏同梱组（1TB）同样降价50 美元，从499 美元调降至449 美元。



　　经过本次的降价促销活动之后，Xbox One 主机在美国将首度以低于主要竞争对手PS4 主机的价格抢攻市场，搭配游戏同梱实质上可以省下多达150 美元的预算，预料在美国年度最重要的节庆档期销售旺季能有所斩获。其余地区目前尚未发表统一的降价促销活动，将视通路与市场而定。

微软短时间内不准备单独出售XBOX ONE白手柄

　　那些对《日落过载》同捆版中白色XBOX ONE手柄情有独钟的玩家可能要失望了，因为微软现在不打算单独出售白色手柄，这也就意味着至少一段时间内想要得到它的唯一办法就是购买《日落过载》XBOX ONE同捆版。

　　微软总监Aaron Greenberg在推特上被问到能否单独出售白色手柄，他回答道：“现在还不考虑单独出售白色手柄。”尽管这个回答没有封死所有白色手柄单独出售的可能性，但是至少短时间我们是没法买到了。

　　如果你现在正准备购买一只XBOX ONE的手柄，那么备选除了经典黑色，还有迷彩色和午夜蓝这两种，同时还有《COD：高级战争》定制版以及《泰坦天降》定制版也可供玩家选择。

微软公布XBOX ONE发售一年来近百项改进清单

　　2014年11月的晚些时候，XBOX ONE将庆祝其发行的一周年纪念。去年的11月22日微软的次时代主机XBOX ONE正式与广大玩家见面，也正式拉开了次时代主机大战。而在发售后一周年之际微软也是顺势公布了在这一年中一系列对于这台主机的升级和更新清单，它们中的大多数都是根据玩家意见进行修改的。

　　就像你能在Major Nelson的博客中能看到的那样，自从2013年的11月22日开始，已经有近百项升级更新来到了XBOX ONE上，而且这个表中列出的也只是最受关注的那些升级。

　　这一年当中例如自定义背景，新的好友以及成就APP，对于Snap的升级，移动端购买，重启静音以及对TV系统的改进等等都是确实让玩家拍手称快的亮点。微软称玩家对XBOX ONE的体验将会给他们持续不断的提供改进的灵感，我们也期待微软能够给我们带来更加完善的体验。

XBOX总裁菲尔·斯宾塞暗指Rare新作即将到来

　　XBOX总裁菲尔·斯宾塞今日发布了一条推特表示Rare工作室正在制作一款很特别的游戏,原文说道：“今天要去玩新的Rare游戏，Rare真的制作了一款很特别的游戏，能来参观工作室真是太棒了。”

　　Rare自从被收购后作品似乎总是离不开微软的Kinect，他们制作了包括XBOX ONE版《Kinect运动：竞争》以及XBOX 360上的两款《Kinect运动大会》，最近的一个相对来说有个性的游戏还是在2008年制作的《班卓熊：神奇螺丝》。

　　鉴于前两天微软成功申请了《忍者蛙》这一Rare的远古系列的商标，那么这款所谓的“独特的新作”会不会有可能是《忍者蛙》的新作?让我们一起拭目以待吧。

Project Totem renamed Kalimba, due out next month for Xbox One, January for PC

   

Press Play’s Kalimba Rocks onto Xbox One this December

Earlier this year, we took a look at Project Totem, a colorful new game from the creators of Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Now, we’re happy to announce Project Totem’s launch date and its official name: Kalimba! Coming to the Xbox Games Store for $9.99, Kalimba will be available on December 17 for Xbox One and January 2015 on PC.

Press Play’s highly-anticipated puzzle platformer has players controlling animated totems on a quest to overthrow an evil shaman and reclaim the island of Kalimba for the Kalimbi people. The distinct look comes from the “trixelated” art style that uses triangles as the main influence. In addition to the unique art style of the world, puzzles, enemies and totems, Kalimba also offers both single player and couch co-op modes. Creative Director Asger Strandby calls it, “kind of a friendship tester – if you can play the game and high five more than you slap each other, you’re probably ready to get married.”

Originally conceived during the final development stages of Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, Asger Strandby and his brother Bo Strandby described working on the game as “a chance to be creative and test our new ideas,” while they were finding and fixing bugs with Max.

After showing an early prototype at an employee party, the studio drafted a small team to continue working on it in time for its debut at the Game Developers Conference. Since then, it’s also been shown this year at San Diego Comic-Con and PAX Prime, and the team has been working around the clock to make good on its promise of a 2014 release while also incorporating player feedback from those events into the final version.

Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island Expansion Now Available

微软的赛车游戏 Forza Horizon 2《极限竞速：地平线 2》推出了最新付费下载内容，那就是「Storm Island 暴风之岛」扩充内容组合包。这次的扩充更新内容将导入拥有「极端气候」的地区、以及五种全新款式的越野车。

「Storm Island 暴风之岛」是这款扩充内容组合包导入的全新区域之名称。微软描述这个区域是个非常漂亮、但却非常危险的地方。

微软写到：「这是一个拥有丰富变化性与极端挑战的小岛，其突然且充满戏剧性的地形变化，将会让玩家与驾驶的车辆发挥极限能力。『Storm Island 暴风之岛』也结合了最为险恶的气候条件，这是之前从来没有在《极限竞速》系列游戏中出现过的，包含了凶猛的热带暴风以及浓厚的雾气，这将会让玩家在驾驶时所面对的挑战达到一个全新的阶段。身处『Storm Island 暴风之岛』地区，当地的气候与地形的组合变化多端，将让玩家每次只要一进入驾驶座就要面对各种最疯狂的冒险。」

全新的环境效果包含了受到暴风吹拂而摇摆的树木、以及穿透雾气的阳光等。

「Storm Island 暴风之岛」扩充内容组合包也会为《极限竞速：地平线 2》带来 90 个新的事件、以及五种全新的事件型态。这些新的事件型态有「Rampage 横冲直撞」、「Brawl」、「Extreme Cross Country 终极越野挑战赛」、「Cross Country Circuit 环道越野挑战赛」、以及「Gauntlet」。

除了这些新的事件之外，「Storm Island 暴风之岛」扩充内容组合包也会带来其他新的游戏内容，例如全新的「Bucket List 愿望列表」挑战赛、测速照相以及测速区间的排行榜、以及更多的「Rivals 劲敌」事件。

Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island is Now Available

The epic road trip continues on Xbox One with the expansion for Forza Horizon 2.

Storm clouds are gathering; a fierce tropical storm is about to break. Several of the world’s most iconic off-roaders are lined up, poised to spring with a punch of the gas pedal. Thunder crashes in the distance, an omen of the dangerous terrain and extreme elevation changes that await. Drivers grip their steering wheels, ready to tackle the epic challenges ahead. Welcome to a new land of extremes with the Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island expansion!

The Storm Island expansion brings fans more of what they love about the year’s best racing game: more beauty, more fun, more challenge, and more ways to compete with and against friends. The Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island expansion is available now exclusively on Xbox One and can be purchased from the Xbox Live Store for $20. Forza Horizon 2 VIP owners will receive a 50 percent discount on the expansion, making the price just $10 for VIP members.

Here’s a breakdown of the new content coming with the Storm Island expansion.

Dangerous Beauty

This expansion pack for Forza Horizon 2 features a new location to explore, the mysterious and foreboding Storm Island. This is a land of gorgeous variety and monumental challenge, with sudden and dramatic terrain changes that push players and their cars to the limit. Storm Island also features the most severe weather conditions ever seen in a Forza game, including fierce tropical storms and thick fog that will add an entirely new level of challenge. On Storm Island, the weather and the world combine to present players with extreme adventure every time they get behind the wheel.

Storm Island has been built with the Forza Horizon 2 engine and infused with brand new technology that showcases the beauty of the world. New features like swaying trees in extreme windstorms and the rays of the sun cutting through thick fog bring the adventure and splendor of Storm Island to life in ways players have never experienced before.

Action-Packed Fun

Storm Island brings more intense racing action with an emphasis on all-out, off-road fun. The expansion features 90 new events with five new event types players can test their skills in, and all have been designed to bring the most out of both the driver as well as every vehicle in the game. These new events include:

• Rampage – Rampage events are point-to-point off-road sprints, where the driver will contend with obstacles and smashables (including the brand new smashable chicanes) before crossing the finish line.

• Brawl – Grab your favorite four-wheeled weapon and strap in for these off-road circuit races featuring extreme terrain, lots of obstacles to take advantage of, and new smashables to wreck.

• Extreme Cross Country – Fans have played Cross Country events in Forza Horizon 2 but have never played them quite like this. With more extreme elevation changes, a variety of different terrain types, and strong storms to contend with, Storm Island’s Extreme Cross Country races are not for the faint of heart.

• Cross Country Circuit – One sprint in a Cross Country race will get players’ heart rates up. But how about multiple laps? In Cross Country Circuit events, players will be taking on those same unpredictable challenges in multi-lap races that will test both their stamina and skill.

• Gauntlet – Gauntlet events have become the stuff of legend on Storm Island. These point-to-point races are held only at night, and take place during the types of storms that normally have proper names attached to them. These epic races are long and dangerous – with minimal signage to guide players during the race. Just completing a Gauntlet event is challenging enough. Victory will take a special combination of skill, bravery, and luck.

The Adventure Never Stops

Storm Island is a massive expansion of Forza Horizon 2, with tons of content and replay value. In addition to new event types listed above, Storm Island will include new items and locations to explore – including new roads and bonus boards, a brand new Car Meet, new Bucket List challenges, new speed trap and speed zone leaderboards, and additional Rivals events.

Players can head online to discover awesome new content as well, including four new multilplayer Playground arenas, 20 unique online race routes, six Gauntlet events, three new Showdown events (accessible from the new Storm Island Car Meet location), and five online championship event types including Brawl, Rampage, Extreme Cross Country, Cross Country Circuit, and Mixed events, each of which contain tons of variety in terms of weather, time of day, etc.

The pack will also include five new iconic cars and trucks (see below for full descriptions of the five cars in the pack), plus a new barn find car (which we’re keeping secret for now). For players who enjoy upgrading their vehicles, we’ve also got new off-road suspension, tire, and transmission upgrades that can be applied to any of Forza Horizon 2’s 200+ cars. In addition, we’ve also added new rally-inspired body kit upgrades for a select number of legendary cars in game.

All of this amazing content, plus 23 new Xbox Live achievements (adding up to 500 gamerscore points to your total) makes the Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island expansion an amazing value for Forza fans.
