索尼放出云游戏服务PS Now新情报 娱乐无处不在

  索尼日前正式更新了其麾下云游戏公司Gaikai的官网,并放出了一批有关后者研发的云游戏服务Playstation Now之最新情报。

  从Gaikai官网公布的PlayStation Now界面示意图中我们可以发现,PlayStation Now的界面与PlayStation Store如出一辙;其次,这张截图还透露了首批几款支持PlayStation Now服务的游戏之云服务价格,包括《孤岛惊魂3》是5.99美刀,而《神秘海域3:德雷克的诡计》售价4.99美刀,作为对比,在PlayStation Store中《孤岛惊魂3》售价19.99美刀,而《神秘海域3:德雷克的诡计》年度版售价39.99美刀。不过考虑到这只是示意图,所以这些标价很有可能并不代表最终定价。

  PlayStation Now是索尼潜心研发多年的云游戏技术,它使得玩家只需在终端登入自己的PSN账号,即可运行储存在服务器云端的经典PS游戏,甚至做到跨平台管理自己的游戏进度,比如玩家在PS4上玩到PS3大作《美国末日》的第一关,接着分别在PSV和索尼Bravia电视上玩该作的第二关和第三关。不过,按照索尼此前的说法,玩家需具备至少500KB/S的下载带宽方能充分体验Playstation Now的精彩。

  Playstation Now云服务预计在今年夏天正式登陆美国和加拿大,面向PS3\PS4以及PSV等游戏平台,至于Playstation Now对索尼Bravia智能电视、索尼手机、索尼平板的支持则会在今年冬天前完成。在2015年,索尼将正式完成对Playstation Now的全球布局。



索尼PS4最大悬念:虚拟现实眼镜下周GDC即见分晓

  PS4发售至今,600万台的主机销量远超索尼预期,就连作为配件单独出售的PlayStation Camera(PS4 Eye)也变得加价难求。

  不过,索尼的新一代主机还存在一个巨大悬念,那就是传言已久的虚拟现实眼镜。早在去年便有消息传出称搭配PS4游戏机的虚拟现实设备将在德国科隆游戏展上亮相,不过随后这一时间点被推迟到了东京电玩展,但最终再度爽约。

  目前即将在下周开幕的旧金山游戏开发者大会(GDC)被认为是又一个发布该设备的绝好时间节点,而最新的消息似乎也同样倾向于这一判断。据悉,索尼全球工作室总裁吉田修平、索尼电脑娱乐美国研发部门高级主管Richard Marks和索尼电脑娱乐美国高级软件工程师Anton Mikhailov将在GDC 2014上做题为“索尼电脑娱乐推动未来游戏创新”的主旨演讲。

  其中,吉田修平曾经正是Eye Toy和PS Move等知名索尼体感外设项目的领导者。因此,外界分析认为索尼在本届大会上公布PS4虚拟现实眼镜的可能性非常高。而来自一位匿名知情人士的爆料则更加直接的点破,索尼会在GDC 2014大会期间通过PS4独占竞速游戏《DriveClub》来演示虚拟现实设备在座舱视角下能够为玩家带来的逼真体验。(同时这也从侧面解释了该游戏发售时间严重跳票的更深层原因)

  外媒在报道中提到,不论如何,吉田修平之前已经有意识的暗示了PS4虚拟现实设备的存在,他接受采访时表示:“索尼一直都在尝试研发很多不同的设备,实现不同的想法。至于PS4虚拟现实设备是否也在其中,很遗憾我不能透露太多细节,不过我们确实正在做很多事情。”

据称索尼将于开发者大会公开全新虚拟现实技术

  2014年的开发者大会将于3月17日至3月21日在美国旧金山举行,而最新的情报显示,索尼公司将在这次游戏业界盛会中公开他们的全新虚拟现实技术。



  根据部分开发商的说法,索尼将在开发者大会中公开他们的全新Oculus Rift-beating VR头戴显示器。其中该显示器的原型机已经在部分第三方开发商手中,而根据这些开发商的说法,该头戴显示器的效果远远优于之前的产品。不过他们提到目前几乎还没有可以应用头戴显示器的软件,他们希望在索尼的第一方工作室能在开发者大会上展示一些东西,即使只是技术演示也没问题。

  此外在本次开发者大会中,索尼还会于2014年3月18日举行“推动创新的未来”这一会议,相信届时也会有更多精彩的内容,请玩家们耐心等待后续报道。

Sony’s VR tech will be revealed at GDC – and it represents virtual reality gaming’s greatest hope

Sony will reveal its Oculus Rift-beating VR headset at GDC next week, according to developers familiar with the tech.

A prototype is already in some thirdparty developers’ hands, who have told us that Sony’s VR headset is far superior to Oculus Rift’s first incarnation, though that is expected to even out a little with the arrival of Rift’s new, more advanced Crystal Cove devkit. They also said that there’s little software to speak of currently, but they expect to see something from one of Sony’s firstparty studios at GDC, even if it is just a tech demo.

There’s also no pressure on developers from platform holder Sony to adopt the tech; indeed, the studios we spoke to were excited by the technology, but questioned its viability as a platform. The cost of VR game development and its niche appeal means that many developers will wait and see how the Sony-authored experiences fare before committing to VR game development in earnest.

Sony will reveal all at its ‘Driving the future of innovation’ session at GDC on Tuesday, March 18.

独一无二 索尼透露《杀戮地带》主题白色PS4手柄

  对于游戏迷来说最好的奖励是什么?当然是那些限定版的官方周边。近日,《杀戮地带:暗影坠落》的开发商便展示基于该游戏的主题PS4手柄。

  据外媒报道,《暗影坠落》官方和该游戏总监Steven ter Heide分别通过自己的Twitter公布了一些即将作为锦标赛冠军奖品提供给玩家的独占福利,其中包括:签名海报、奖牌和比赛主题涂装的白色PS4手柄。

  不得不说,此次亮相的白色手柄绝对是目前市面上独一份,目前索尼官方仅推出了黑、红、蓝三种外观的DualShock 4手柄,且没有任何游戏限定版手柄发售。

索尼PS3游戏租借服务悄然现身PSN云游戏服务平台

   目前种种迹象都表明索尼正在为即将到来的PlayStation Now云游戏服务测试在做着最后准备。继上周,为PS Now提供技术支持的Gaikai团队官网曝光了未来PS Now应用界面和部分游戏售价之后,现在其中的一些实际功能已经悄然出现在了PSN当中。

  外媒报道称,PS3玩家近日发现PSN中多出了一项游戏租借服务,不过该功能尚无法被正常使用。

  不过通过被曝光的屏摄照片来看,容量为9.3GB的PS3独占游戏《凯瑟琳》售价为9.99美元,目前该价格是否为买断价仍需要进一步证实。同时,购物列表中还出现了如1天、7天这样的短时租借选项,不过由于服务尚未开通,因此价格栏仍显示为“免费”。按计划,PS Now服务将于今年夏天率先面向美国玩家开测,未来该服务将覆盖包括电视、掌机、移动设备在内的所有索尼产品。

索尼公开PS4虚拟现实技术新型头戴显示器登场

       正如之前所预告的那样,索尼公司在2014年开发者大会中公布了他们全新虚拟现实技术的情报。在此次游戏业界盛会的“推动创新的未来”板块中,他们终于公开了传闻已久的PS4虚拟现实设备“Project Morhpeus”。

  对此,索尼全球工作室的吉田修平表示:“我们Playstation中的很多人都梦想着虚拟现实技可术,这将为我们将要创造的游戏做好准备。”

  吉田修平表示索尼4年来一直致力于开发虚拟现实技术,而他曾经展示了2010年秋季和2011年3月的原型机,几年前也曾展示过利用头戴显示器以第一视角的模式来玩《战神3》。

     而根据索尼研发主管Richard Marks博士的说法,PS4的虚拟现实技术是无处不在的,它将在各种玩家们认为可能派不上用场的事情上发挥作用。举个例子来说,他一直和美国航天局(NASA)的喷气推进实验室合作,想要创造一个火星演示,让玩家们真的觉得自己站在该星球的地表上。

  Marks博士还表示虚拟现实技术主要包括六大挑战,分别是视觉、听觉、跟踪、控制、易用性和内容。而内容上还有大品牌作为支持,包括Unity、Havok、Wwise、Gigantic、Autodesk and Autodesk Gameware Scaleform、DDD、Criware、Epic Games、Silicon Studio、Bitsquid、Crytek和FMod等。

      根据官方的说法,Morpheus能在PS Move、PS Eye和PS4上无缝运作。此外Morpheus并非最终完成品,它还只是一个进行中的计划。吉田表示开发者大会之所以被选为该设备的公开场所,是因为索尼也希望从开发商方面得到反馈。而在开发者大会期间,索尼还会提供相关的技术演示,请玩家们继续期待后续报道。

Sony Computer Entertainment today announced the development of "Project Morpheus" − a virtual reality system that takes the PlayStation 4 system to the next level of immersion and demonstrates the future of gaming. SCE will continue development of Morpheus looking towards a future commercial launch.

"At SCE we view innovation as an opportunity to build on our mission to push the boundaries of play," said Shuhei Yoshida, President of SCE Worldwide Studios. "Project Morpheus is the latest example of innovation from SCE, and we're looking forward to its continued development and the games that will be created as development kits get into the hands of content creators."

Morpheus enables developers to create experiences that deliver a sense of presence - where players feel as though they are physically inside the virtual world of a game. Presence is like a window into another world that heightens the emotions gamers experience as they play. Morpheus features a visor style head-mounted display and works seamlessly with PlayStation Camera to deliver a unique VR experience right before the player's eyes. Inertial sensors built into the head mount unit and PlayStation Camera accurately track head orientation and movement so as the player's head rotates, the image of the virtual world rotates naturally and intuitively in real-time. Furthermore, in supporting games, the player can use a PlayStation Move Motion Controller as an object, such as a sword. Morpheus will reproduce the player's hands and sword within the game so the player feels like they are physically fighting off enemies with their sword in the virtual world.

Morpheus adopts 3D audio technology uniquely developed by SCE. In addition to sounds coming from front, behind, left and right, Morpheus re-creates stereoscopic sounds heard from below and above the players, such as footsteps climbing up stairs below them, or engine noises of helicopters flying overhead. Sounds that players hear change in real-time depending on their head orientation, creating a highly realistic audio environment within an immersive 360-degree virtual world.

Along with PlayStation Camera, Wireless Controller for PS4, and PS Move, Morpheus will deliver immersive breakthrough entertainment experiences to gamers through the PS4 system, leveraging SCE's expertise across key areas for VR – including display/optics, audio, tracking, control, ease of use, and content.

Developers will be able to create Morpheus content for PS4, a platform which has sold over 6 million units only after 3 months and a half of its launch, and is continuing to show strong momentum. The Morpheus dedicated SDK is currently under development and will become available when ready.

During the Game Developers Conference 2014 held in San Francisco from March 19 through March 21, attendees can visit the Sony Computer Entertainment America booth to have a hands-on experience with Morpheus, which will be exhibited for reference. Attendees can enjoy exclusive technology demo such as EVE Valkyrie (CCP), a multiplayer dogfighting shooter that uses virtual reality to give the player the sense of being a real pilot in an EVE Online spaceship, Thief (Square Enix), which allows players to explore the dark shadowy world of the stealth action title, "The Castle" (SCE) that shows various VR interactions utilizing PS Move, and "The Deep" (SCE), where players can observe the waters from inside a shark proof cage.

索尼公布PS4新开发工具及中间设备 PS3也享用

  索尼日前宣布与GameMaker: Studio和MonoGame成立合作伙伴关系,二者将为PS4提供中间设备问题的本地解决方案。



  YoYo Games和SCE联合开发的跨平台游戏开发商业软件GameMaker: Studio将为PS4提供本地化解决方案,让PS4主机可以更容易的利用GameMaker: Studio自带的输出功能,把他们在PC平台上开发的2D游戏移植到PS4平台上来。

  为此索尼举出了数个成功利用改功能的游戏案例,包括Heart Machine的《Hyper Light Drifter》、Teknopants的《Samurai Gunn》、Hopoo Games的《Risk of Rain》、Benjamin Rivers的《Home》及Vlambeer的《Nuclear Throne》。

  而MonoGame则是一个以C+为基础的开源引擎,在PS4平台上首先利用开引擎开发出来的游戏就是Matt Makes Games的《TowerFall:Ascension》。该作将于未来的几个月内推出,该引擎还帮助Tribute Games和Supergiant Games把他们旗下的《Mercenary Kings》和《Transistor》移植到PC平台上来。

  游戏开发软件GameMaker: Studio和开源引擎MonoGame都将授权给所有的PlayStation开发者。同时索尼还公布统一继承解决方案,让PS3和PSV也能想享受同样的待遇,当然初期还是针对PS4平台,授权将于4月正式开发。

  此外索尼还宣布将其内部使用的开发工具Authoring Tools Framework免费向其他开发者提供,该工具多次运用在PS4、PS3和PSV平台上的游戏开发,最典型的案例就是《超越:两个灵魂》。

Upcoming PS4 Update to Add SHARE Enhancements and HDCP Off

Here at PlayStation, we listen closely to your comments and requests, which are weighted heavily when looking at the future of our platforms. Since PlayStation 4 launched, we’ve heard a lot of great feedback from you about what you like with the platform and what you’d like to see us work on. I’m happy to report that, as a direct result of your feedback, we’ll soon be bringing some of your most-requested features to PS4 with a system software update in the upcoming weeks. These features and additions will help make your PS4 even more socially connected by further enabling you to customize your most epic gaming moments and granting even more options to show them to your friends.

This upcoming update will add a rich video editor with a simple tool to personalize your video clips, and you’ll also be able to export to and save the videos and screenshots you create by pressing the SHARE button to a USB drive. In addition, this update will add an HDCP off option for capturing gameplay via HDMI, a feature we’ve previously said would come after launch. We recognize that some gamers want to record and share longer clips of their gameplay sessions, and we’re excited to deliver this option with PS4. There’s a lot more coming in this update as well, so stay tuned for more—there will be plenty in the update to excite everyone.

As part of a separate system software update in the future, we have been working with our partners at Twitch and Ustream, and will also be adding the ability for Twitch broadcasts to be archived – another highly requested feature among PS4 fans who are taking advantage of the SHARE button features. These broadcasts will be also provided with a higher resolution of 720p, so PS4 fans can enjoy live broadcasts with clearer images. We’ll have more to come on these updates and more in the coming weeks.

      即将到来的全新PS4固件升级将会加入一个名为rich video editor的视频编辑器,简便地将玩家自己录制的游戏视频个性化。玩家还可以利用SHARE键,将自己录制的视频与截图传输到USB存储装置里。另外,这个更新还将提供关闭HDCP的选项,来让玩家通过HDMI录制视频。这个功能在发售后就对玩家做出过承诺。我们知道一些玩家想要录制并且保存更长的游戏视频,我们很高兴把这个功能带到PS4上去。这个更新还将有更多的内容,这将在未来公布。

     在更下一次的更新中,我们还会加深与Twitch和Ustream合作,让Twitch的直播得以保存下来回放——这也是PS4玩家们提出想要的要素,它也将更大限度地利用SHARE键的优势。所有的直播都将提升到720P的分辨率,所以PS4玩家们在看直播的时候就可以享受到更加清晰的画面了。更多的消息将在未来发布。

Over 1,000 developers licensed to self-publish on PlayStation
PS自发行平台注册人数过千 索尼发布感谢视频


  PS4发售不到半年的时间已经卖出了600万台,玩家们对这款次世代新主机的支持相当给力,索尼方面还准备了100款游戏计划陆续在PS4平台上推出,这其中包括《看门狗》、《上古卷轴OL》、《命运》和《秩序1886》等。同时还有大量的独立游戏等待着玩家,目前在PlayStation平台上注册自出版的独立游戏开发者已经超过1000名。

  为了感谢独立游戏开发者和玩家们对PS4的支持,SCE官方放出了最新宣传片来感谢他们。目前确定在PS4平台上推出的独立游戏包括《Octodad》、《Transistor》、《N++》、《GALAK-Z》、《Rogue Legacy》、《Binding of Isaac: Rebirth》、《The Witness》被《TowerFall Ascension》等。



   


PlayStation Still Loves Devs - 1,000 Self-Publishers

PS4 has been met with an amazing amount of enthusiasm and excitement from both gamers and developers alike since its launch back in November, and the 6 million gamers who have already bought PS4 have really embraced this next-generation gaming experience. We’ve got more than 100 games scheduled to launch on PS4 this year alone, including Watch_Dogs, The Elder Scrolls Online, Destiny, and The Order: 1886.

That amazing lineup is made possible by the development community, who have been hard at work with our hardware, already pushing it to do things that we never expected. Recently we reached a significant milestone with more than 1,000 developers licensed globally to self-publish on our platforms, 200 of those licensed in North America since PS4 was unveiled in February 2013.

A year ago at the Game Developers Conference, we kicked our support for independent developers into high-gear. Since then, we continued to partner with some of the world’s best and brightest independent developers committed to bringing their titles — some of the most creative and innovative games I’ve seen — to PlayStation platforms. We’ve already seen some great content hit PS4 — from crafting waffles in Don’t Starve to scaring the pants off of people with Outlast. We’re looking forward to some of this year’s self-published titles like Octodad, Transistor, N++, GALAK-Z, Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, and The Witness, and you know we’re all already playing a metric arrow ton of TowerFall Ascension.

This year’s GDC was awesome, as usual. We had a blast meeting with developers, both partners we’ve worked with time and time again, as well as new up-and-coming talent. We also continued collecting feedback from developers on what they’ve discovered while spending time with our platforms, and we introduced some new tools that will help ease the process of bringing their games to PlayStation gamers… not to mention how we peeked into the future of PlayStation.

To developers, to fans: THANK YOU for helping us make history with PlayStation 4.
