Styx: Master of Shadows for The First Time in Video

The development of Styx: Master of Shadows, the stealth game created by Cyanide Studio, is going full steam ahead and today reveals its very first video!

Styx, the goblin anti-hero, master assassin and part-time thief is about to scale the dizzying heights of the colossal Tower of Akenash, in search of valuable items to steal. An expert in the art of infiltration, Styx also uses this video as an opportunity to showcase some of his many talents that will help him progress without ever being spotted, or detected!

Styx is a Goblin two centuries old... the very first of all the Goblins, he's a master in the arts of stealth, theft, and murder. The depths of the miles-high Tower of Akenash, where Humans and Elves hide and protect the Tree, the source of the Amber, are the best chance Styx has of quickly amassing a small fortune and, perhaps, discover more about his true origins along the way.

Battle your way to the top of the lofty Tower of Akenash throughimmense and vertiginous levels that highlight the vertical perspective. You will complete numerous missions with various objectives as you climb up - murder, information recovery, theft of precious artifacts, etc - and gradually reconstruct the puzzle that provides the key to the mystery of your origins. The levels are open and the objectives can be completed in various ways: you are therefore free to choose the best way to proceed and the most suitable strategy to employ to achieve and complete your mission objectives. But remember you're a Goblin: if your target is twice your size, or more, you're better off eliminating them silently. and in the back!

The premises of the Tower of Akenash are protected by many: Humans of course, but also Elves whose science of magic cannot be overlooked, huge Orcs who have been victims of (more or less) successful experiments, but also other, stranger creatures. Guards, soldiers and other protectors of the Tower will adapt their behavior dynamically, depending on your actions: you better keep a low profile and prepare your plan of action beforehand. Study the guard patrols closely, use areas of light and shadow to your advantage, lure your target to a secluded area to assassinate him silently, or arrange "accidents" to remain undetected!

Styx: Master of Shadows also includes game mechanics right out of RPG, so as you gain experience you will unlock new skills, special and impressive moves and new and lethal weapons in 6 talent trees! You will also acquire extraordinary powers from the Amber flowing from the Source Tree which will help you out of a tight spot, make you invisible to the eyes of your enemies and which you can use to generate "disposable" clones of yourself! Explore every inch of the levels and not only will you uncover clues about your past but also, and more importantly, valuable treasure that you can steal from under the noses and beards of the guards in the Tower of Akenash!

Focus Home Interactive and Rogue Factor today proudly unveil the first video game adaptation of Games Workshop's cult classic Mordheim. Set in the Warhammer world's decimated Empire city, Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based tactical game where you lead warbands into bloody and lethal skirmishes. The game blends RPG elements, fast-paced tactical combat and intricate unit customization in a time wrought by chaos and rivalry where only the strongest survive.

After the Comet of Sigmar crashed on Mordheim, the City of Damned turned into a terrifying battlefield where rival warbands fight fiercely for the control of key neighborhoods, looking for glory and fortune by acquiring the very valuable Wyrdstone fragments.

Pick your warbands from iconic Mordheim factions - Sisters of Sigmar, Possessed, Skaven, Mercenaries from the Empire, and many more - and lead your troops to battle. Recruit new units, equip them with enhanced gear. Evolve and customize your warband with the experience gained from each successful mission, transforming them into a terrifying force on the battlefield.

Blood Bowl 2, published by Focus Home Interactive, is the sequel to Blood Bowl, the video game developed by Cyanide studios based on the famous board game created by Games Workshop that combines American football with the fantasy world of Warhammer. The latest series of screenshots unveiled the first game stadiums, but we can now present the frenetic action of the very first match of Blood Bowl 2 on video!

The commentary is provided by the double act and undisputed kings of the mic, Jim Johnson and Bob Bifford, and this first Blood Bowl 2 video sees two iconic Blood Bowl teams enter the pitch; the Humans of the Reikland Reavers and the Orcs of Gouged Eye will kick the next season off that promises to be sensational! This video highlights the impressive and scalable stadiums in Blood Bowl 2, previously only seen in screenshots, and now showcases the meticulous team modelling and animations along with the dynamic cameras that will pack more punch to the matches.

Blood Bowl 2 is even more ambitious than its predecessor in all aspects of the game, with numerous extra features and the highest production values. Space Hulk: Deathwing, the first-person shooter set in Games Workshop’s famous Warhammer 40,000 universe, today unveils its first screenshots!

Developed by StreumOn Studio (E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy) on Unreal Engine 4, Space Hulk: Deathwing puts players at the head of a squad of Space Marine Terminators, as they venture within the claustrophobic, and Genestealer-infested, entrails of a Space Hulk. Today’s pictures show the hero of the game, a Deathwing Librarian, delving deeper and deeper into the Space Hulk, and confronting the awakening hordes of Genestealers.

The Genestealers represent a serious threat even for a squad of Terminators, but they are just the vanguard of the forces players will fight inside the Space Hulk. From Genestealer Hybrids equipped with heavy weapons, through many sub-species of Genestealers, to huge Bloodlords, the enemies of the Deathwing are varied, versatile, and terrifying.

Styx: Master of Shadows, the infiltration game developed by Cyanide Studio and planned for release on PlayStation®4, Xbox One® and PC in September, today takes a little break from its development to inaugurate its official website with a new video!

This Summer Trailer invites us to follow Styx, the two-century old Goblin whose main occupation is thievery and assassination, as he begins infiltrating the huge Tower of Akenash. It is in this immense tower that is jealously kept hidden by elves, humans and other fantasy creature, the World-Tree and its Heart, source of the precious Amber. This is the final objective of Styx, who today demonstrates a few of his skills and special powers, that will be of great help to make a silent way to his goal.

The Globin Styx Proves He's The Master of Shadows in 'Assassin's Green' Gameplay Trailer

Styx: Master of Shadows, the infiltration game from Cyanide Studios, has a unique verticality that is ample throughout the gallows, alleys, courtyards and winding halls within the Tower of Akenash. Coming October for PS4, Xbox One and PC, scale and prowl through the expansive and mysterious home of the World Tree, either subverting the guards, or quietly and invisibly disposing of them.

Today's video is the first of a series of gameplay trailers we will be releasing over the coming weeks until the release of the game. It illustrates some of the Goblin's skills, as he uses his stealth, weaponry, bold moves and smart use of the environment to get rid of the tower's denizens.

Skill is richly rewarded in Styx: Master of Shadows, with the most skilled of players able to swing organically from level to level, path to path, unseen by foes guarding the way. Armed only with his trusted dagger and very few throwing knives for dealing with “long-range” encounters, Styx relies more on his small scale and nimble athleticism to subvert those who seek to kill him. Remain aware, and use the environment to your advantage, and you'll soon be able to dispatch the humans and elves, whilst remaining unseen.

Push people of ledges, pull them by their legs to the gallows, or leap from huge heights to slit their throats or stab them from their shoulders. Smother them silently, swing around from behind, or thrust throwing daggers into their skulls. Drop crates onto the toughest of enemies, or poison their drinking water. As violent as he is cunning, Styx' best friend is his knife, and the shadows.

Most will survive with a slow pace and a keen eye, but do you have what it takes to become the most efficient Goblin infiltrator?

Styx Master of Shadows is downloadable on PS4, Xbox One and PC this October.
