Story

Peace is but a memory.

In the wake of the Noble Faction’s occupation of Heimdallr, civil war has broken out across Erebonia. The provincial armies, loyal to the aristocracy and the Four Great Houses, have claimed many of the nation’s great cities in the name of the Noble Alliance. The Imperial Army, called back from the four corners of the Empire, has only just begun sweeping its counterattack.

After Rean managed to escape Trista with Celine and Valimar, he awakens in the mountains near his hometown uncertain what fate befell his friends, who bravely threw themselves in harm’s way to buy him time to flee.

Though the road will not be an easy one, Rean decides to take up his sword again, journeying across Erebonia with his Divine Knight, Valimar, in search of his friends from Class VII and a way to end the conflict before its price becomes far too dear…

Overview

Trails of Cold Steel II picks up one month after the decisive collision which changed the fate of the entire nation of Erebonia. The speedy, tactical turn-based combat with the newly-developed “ARCUS” system returns with all the bells and whistles players fondly remember together with a new Overdrive mode, new means of transportation both across the land and sky, new allies, new dangers, and a renewed sense of hope as Rean tirelessly works to right the wrongs that have led the country to disarray.

PQube Release Valkyrie Drive Action Trailer

PQube have unveiled a Valkyrie Drive action trailer to showcase some of the game’s more thrilling moments. Valkyrie Drive -Bhikkhuni- is the latest offering from Marvelous, the minds behind Senran Kagura. With “100% more plot”, take a look above!

This action heavy naughty brawler comes to us from the creators of Senran Kagura and features ultra-fast hack and slash action with a focus on aerial combat, multiple characters to master, 28 story missions and arena based online multiplayer.

As you can see the game does handle a little differently to what you’ve come to expect in the Senran Kagura series, but it’s clearly been created from the same creative minds. The big addition here is the way the aerial combat feels, at least in terms of gameplay. It’s a big overhaul.

The music in the trailer is fabulously sleazy. Of course, as well as showing off some of Valkyrie Drive‘s fighting action, it also does a great job at showcasing the more unique aspect of the game — where the girls turn into weapons.

Valkyrie Drive -Bhikkhuni- is coming out on PlayStation Vita very soon — 30th September in Europe, and 11th October in North America!

Xanadu Next is an exploration-centric action RPG from Nihon Falcom, the acclaimed creators of the Ys and The Legend of Heroes RPG franchises. Originally released in Japan in 2005, this is the first time global audiences will be able to experience this distinguished entry in the long-running franchise. Representing their immensely popular Dragon Slayer series and serving as a spiritual follow-up to the late ‘80s cult classic Faxanadu, Xanadu Next puts the player in the shoes of a gravely injured knight given a new lease on life through ancient magic, who must now seek a legendary sword called “Dragon Slayer” to ensure his survival.

Set on the medieval Europe-inspired Harlech Island, players will explore the many different and interconnected environments of the world around them while battling vicious enemies in real-time, utilizing various unique skills attached to the many weapons they find along the way. In Senran Kagura Bon Appétit! – Full Course, the grand rivalry between girls’ academies continues as the shapely shinobi take a break from their usual hand-to-hand, beat-’em-up style combat to face off in an entirely different kind of battle — with delicious results. The shinobi master Hanzō has promised the winner of his first annual “Super Dish Gourmet Cook-Off” a magical scroll that can grant any one wish. Driven by their own desires – or perhaps just idle curiosity – 22 playable buxom babes from Japan’s secret ninja schools have signed up for the tournament, ready to put their reflexes, memory and speed to the test in a cooking competition unlike any other.

Culinary warfare is carried out through an array of rhythm battles in which players tap the correct buttons in time with the beat to rack up combos and determine the size and quality of the resulting dish. After selecting a competitor, players are challenged to create the ultimate Super Dish and unlock a special feast for the eyes. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Now Available, Launch Trailer

   

XSEED Games Releases Limited 'Risky Beats' Retail Edition of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today announced that the highly-anticipated, crowdfunded action platformer developed by WayForward, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, is now available in North America. The PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system versions of the game see retail releases today with the limited “Risky Beats” edition for a suggested retail price of $29.99. The Wii U system “Risky Beats” edition will be available on December 27.

To celebrate the popular indie series’ first full HD release today, the limited “Risky Beats” retail edition of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is packaged with a musical selections CD containing 30 songs from the game’s soundtrack. WayForward launched the digital PS4 system and Wii U versions today on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop, respectively, for $19.99. XSEED Games has launched the digital “PS Vita” system release, which is now available from the PlayStation Store, also for $19.99.
