Ys: Memories of Celceta Limited Edition Announced



Xseed Games to Release Limited Edition of Ys: Memories of Celceta on PlayStation Vita this Holiday Season

Xseed Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today announced that the company will release a Limited Edition of the action RPG title, Ys: Memories of Celceta, alongside the standard retail version for the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system when the game releases later this holiday season. Celebrating over a quarter of a century of the timeless Ys series, the Ys: Memories of Celceta Silver Anniversary Edition will come packaged with a host of celebratory bonus items including a 3-CD collection of original and arranged music spanning the entire history of the franchise, as well as game-specific items such as a cloth map detailing the lands of Celceta, a logo-emblazoned compass, and ‘Adol’s Travel Journal’ containing adventuring strategies and artwork, all within an exclusive commemorative package. The Silver Anniversary Edition will carry a suggested retail price of $59.99, while the standard game will retail for $39.99.

Ys: Memories of Celceta is an extensive reimagining of Ys IV, one of the few titles in the acclaimed series never to have made its way to the West. For Ys: Memories of Celceta, famed Ys series creators Nihon Falcom have re-worked the game from the ground up, changing the framing of the story itself to create a more intriguing tale filled with mystery and distrust. Soon after red-haired series hero Adol Christin awakens on the outskirts of the Great Forest of Celceta with no memory of how he got there, he finds himself beginning a new journey with an unknown companion as they delve into the forest on a quest to explore its vast expanses, searching for clues to Adol’s identity along the way.

The Ys series has long been known for its fast-paced and acrobatic combat, and Ys: Memories of Celceta proudly continues this tradition on the PlayStation Vita system, adding optional touchscreen functionality to create a handheld action RPG experience unlike any other. Through clever use of the PS Vita’s rear touch pad, players are able to issue commands to allied forces while simultaneously engaging enemies in combat; and for a better view of the action, the camera can be zoomed in or out at any time through use of the device’s front touchscreen, providing a tactical advantage in large-scale fights. More processing power means more enemies on screen, and with the largest, most non-linear overworld in Ys history, Ys: Memories of Celceta boasts a superlative atmospheric experience, representing a thoroughly modern evolution of the high tempo gameplay that has made this series a timeless action RPG mainstay.

Ys: Memories of Celceta was developed in Japan by Nihon Falcom and will be released by Xseed Games in North America for the PS Vita later this holiday season.

XSEED宣布《瓦尔哈拉骑士3》10月15号登入PSVita

近日日本RPG游戏《瓦尔哈拉骑士3》有英文视频放出，为大家展示了游戏中所有各种各样的职业选择，每一种职业的强力技能，并简短示范了每一种职业的战斗能力。

从视频中我们可以看到游戏职业有囚犯，盗贼，魔法师，战士，赤时，牧师和弓箭手。该视频还展示了玩家如何使用技能书来学习心得能力。游戏中一共20种工作职业：7种基本工作职业，8种需要解锁工作职业和5种后续DLC工作职业。

   

XSEED Games Announces Valhalla Knights 3 to Launch on PlayStation Vita October 15

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today announced that the medieval action RPG title, Valhalla Knights 3, will launch on October 15 exclusively on the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system at an MSRP of $39.99, both as a retail physical release and as a digital download on the PlayStation Store.

Valhalla Knights 3 drops players into a world filled with criminals, violence and distrust as they search for a long-lost legendary treasure in the ultimate hostile environment – the medieval prison Carceron, where the prisoners have built their own cruel society amongst the crumbling walls and wild grounds. Players first create a fully customizable main character and allied party members, choosing from one of seven races, including Human, Dwarf, Elf, Halfling, Machine, Beast and Nightmare, and from one of 20 job classes (7 basic job classes, 8 unlockable, and 5 available through downloadable content). These custom player characters can take on various quests, exploring the prison’s filthy slums, lower dungeons, black markets, outer wildlands – and the infamous “Light District,” where the castle’s female shopkeepers and entertainers dwell.

As players journey through the game’s world, they will constantly engage in action-heavy real-time battle, utilizing a diverse party of up to seven characters. Players control any one party member at a time, and can choose to either issue commands to their allies or switch characters on the fly and take command themselves. Defeating enemies and completing quests will grant the party loot, which characters can use to bolster their abilities and combat effectiveness. With 200-plus quests and over 500 in-game items, weapons, armor and special goods, Valhalla Knights 3 promises players over 40 hours of gameplay. For those who want to go beyond the single-player campaign, XSEED Games has added online connectivity on top of the game’s original ad-hoc 2-player versus mode for its North American release, so North American fans can play against each other online no matter how far apart they are.

Valhalla Knights 3 was developed in Japan by MarvelousAQL, and will be released by XSEED Games in North America exclusively for the PS Vita on October 15, 2013. The North American release will be followed closely by a digital release in Europe, which XSEED will share details on shortly.

Rune Factory 4 hits Europe in spring 2014

Marvelous AQL to release Rune Factory 4 in Europe in Spring 2014

MAQL Europe, the European division of Japanese publisher Marvelous AQL, are pleased to announce that Rune Factory 4 for Nintendo 3DS will be making its way to Europe in Spring 2014.

Published by MAQL Europe and localised by XSEED Games, Rune Factory 4, will be released in Europe in partnership with Zen United.

Rune Factory 4 combines the farming elements the series is renowned for, with classic action-JRPG elements in a stunning fantasy setting.

Taking place in the Kingdom of Norad, players must take on the role of Prince or Princess and bring prosperity back to the picturesque town of Selphia.

Tend to your farm and find romance among the town’s singles before setting off into the wilderness and surrounding dungeons to defeat or tame monsters. It’s a mix of play styles that has garnered Rune Factory well-earned praise from both fans and critics alike.

Rune Factory 4 promises to be the biggest in the series to date. Boasting hundreds of items, crops, weapons and equipment to find and grow, as well as a substantial story and rich characters to enjoy - there has never been a better time to discover this superb JRPG series.

XSEED Games Releases First English Screenshots and Character Details for Upcoming PS Vita Action RPG, Ys: Memories of Celceta

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today released the first batch of English screenshots along with character information to help familiarize fans with key cast members of the upcoming action RPG title, Ys: Memories of Celceta, which will release exclusively on the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system this holiday season.

An extensive reimagining of Ys IV, one of the few titles in the acclaimed series’ 25-year history never to have made its way to the West, Ys: Memories of Celceta revolves around beloved series hero, Adol Christin, who awakens on the outskirts of the Great Forest of Celceta with no memory of how he got there. Soon, Adol finds himself beginning a new journey with an unknown companion as they delve into the forest on a quest to explore its vast expanses, searching for clues to his identity along the way.

On their journey through the endless woods of Celceta, players will encounter a number of characters, including the following individuals. Supporting assets showcasing these characters are available at the link below.

Adol Christin - The Ys series’ stalwart protagonist, Adol Christin is perhaps the most famous adventurer ever to have lived. Adol is a young man brimming with curiosity who constantly seeks the thrill of discovery and the wonders of new lands. This time around, however, the challenge is quite different – Adol is seeking to solve the mysteries of his own past.

Duren - Duren is an information dealer whom Adol encounters at a bar in Casnan. He claims to have met Adol before – though with no memory, Adol remains skeptical. An extremely kind-hearted man (though he'd never admit it), Duren can't bring himself to walk away from someone in need, making him a perfect travel companion.

Karna - Karna is a cheerful, honest young girl who lives in the treetop village of Comodo. An extremely skilled huntress, she puts most of the other hunters in the village to shame with her accuracy and cunning talent. Her weapon of choice is the throwing knife, though she has an unfortunate habit of throwing first and asking questions later...

Ozma - A resident of the village of Selray, and the sole remaining member of the tribe which cares for the sacred beasts known as Spardas. Though young, Ozma acts as the village’s leader and has managed to uphold its peaceful ways for as long as he's been in charge. Reliable, level-headed and dedicated, he is loved and respected by all of the village’s residents. While extremely stubborn and inflexible when it comes to the laws of his tribe, he is also extremely loyal to the people in his charge.

Calilica - Calilica is an energetic, curious young girl who is mature beyond her years in many regards. She harbors something of a complex about her age and youthful appearance, and is constantly seeking to be recognized as an adult by those around her. She looks up to Leeza as an older sister, and has been with her since they were both children. As such, she will hold back at nothing if she can be of assistance to her.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace Coming West in Early 2014



XSEED Games Releases New Assets and Details for Ragnarok Odyssey ACE

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today released an all-new batch of screenshots for the upcoming PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system title, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, releasing in early 2014. Both versions of the game will ship for an MSRP of $39.99, but the PS Vita version of the game will ship with a bonus soundtrack CD containing 25 songs with all launch copies.

Additionally, XSEED Games confirmed plans to release additional game content free of charge following the game’s launch in North America. Released this week in Japan, the version 1.10 update will be added to the North American version of the game after launch, and adds a host of online features including daily quests, online rankings, log-in bonuses, random card draws which are redeemed by use of special items, and special rare random card draws. These features and more will be incorporated post-launch into the North American version of the game for an enhanced online experience on both PS3 and PS Vita.

Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is a new title in the popular Ragnarok Odyssey action RPG franchise that brings players cross-platform play between PS3 and PS Vita as well as rich new content to explore. The game brings a new Tower of Yggdrasil dungeon that creates random dungeons with different rooms and enemy placement, an enhanced battle system with new ACE skills, and a plethora of new bosses, items and features. Players of the original Ragnarok Odyssey will be able to transfer their character’s basic physical features such as name, face and job class (but not clothing), as well as weapon and monster cards (cards equipped to clothing or acquired via NEAR will not transfer over). Any additional DLC acquired can also be transferred by re-downloading it from the PlayStation Store.

Developed by Game Arts, creators of the Grandia and Lunar series, together with GungHo Online Entertainment in Japan, it will be released in North America in early 2014 by XSEED Games, and GungHo Online Entertainment America will publish Ragnarok Odyssey ACE in Europe later in 2014.
