Fantasy XIV: Heavensward expansion now available for pre-order



Square Enix Launches Pre-order for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward

Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward XIV: Heavensward, the highly-anticipated first expansion for the popular MMORPG, is now available for pre-order in North America on disc and digitally in three versions as the collector’s edition, standard edition and all-in-one bundle which includes both A Realm Reborn and Heavensward.

The Collector’s Edition package features:

• “Dragonsong War” Exclusive Box featuring art by famed Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano
• Expertly-Crafted Dragon Mount Figure
• Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Art Book
• Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Movie Blu-ray Disc
• In-game items including a Flying Griffin Mount - Dark Knight Cecil-themed Baron Helm - Wind-Up Kain minion - Fantasia

Additionally, players who pre-order Heavensward will receive exclusive bonuses including:

• In-game items: Baron Circlet - Baron Earrings - Chocobo Chick Courier minion
• Early access to the Heavensward starting June 19, 2015.

Alongside versions available for PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC, a Mac OS version of the title will be available for the first time exclusively as a digital all-in-one bundle.

Players will also be able to pre-order the digital versions of each edition which will grant players access to the pre-order bonuses. Additionally, a digital upgrade option will be available for players that want to upgrade to the Collector’s Edition for the in-game bonus items, but forego the physical items.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Collector’s Edition is available for pre-order on disc for $129.99 and digitally for $59.99. The standard edition is available for $39.99 and the all-in-one bundle is available for $59.99.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward releases on June 23, 2015 and will feature a new story which plunges adventurers into the heart of the Dragonsong War, the bloody thousand-year conflict between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania. Adventurers can also look forward to an increased level cap from 50 to 60 for all disciplines, a new playable race, new dungeons and raids, new primal battles, and new mounts that allow players to take to the skies—flying black chocobos, single-rider airships, dragons and more!

New and lapsed players are urged to join their fellow adventurers in uncovering the mysteries of A Realm Reborn as completing the main scenario quest will be required to play Heavensward.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Now Available, Launch Trailer

   

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Available Today

Square Enix announced that one of its most highly anticipated action role-playing games, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, is now available on disc and digitally for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Set within the war-torn world of Orience, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD features a fast-paced combat system and a mature storyline. Players step into the fray as Class Zero, a group of 14 cadets from an elite military academy in the Dominion of Rubrum. The country is being overrun by the aggressive Militesi Empire, and players must strategically utilize the full range of characters’ powerful abilities to combat invading forces.

“Western audiences are the reason we decided to bring Final Fantasy Type-0 to the high definition consoles,” said Director Hajime Tabata. “We also wanted to invite players to experience a small taste of what’s to come in Final Fantasy XV.”

The Day One Edition of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD also includes a download code for Final Fantasy XV -Episode Duscae-, a demo of the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV title taking place within the Duscae region. Players control the protagonist, Noctis, as he travels with his companions across the vast area where they battle monsters and enemies, and survive treacherous dungeons.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is now available in North America for $59.99. The exclusive Final Fantasy XV -Episode Duscae- downloadable demo is available only while supplies last for the disc product. The digital version of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD comes bundled with Final Fantasy XV -Episode Duscae- for a limited period.

《Final Fantasy XI》公开最终章数据片 闪电发表两款手机版《FF XI》在线游戏

　　SQUARE ENIX 于今（19）日在日本召开了在线游戏《FINAL FANTASY XI》的媒体发表会，现场闪电发表将与擅长开发营运手机在线游戏的 NEXON 携手打造《FINAL FANTASY XI》的原生手机游戏新作，预计 2016 年开始在日本、韩国、北美、欧洲、亚洲地区展开营运。

与 NEXON 共同开发《FINAL FANTASY XI》手机版

　　据官方透露，这款手机版的《FINAL FANTASY XI》以「大型多人行动角色扮演游戏」为概念，预计将导入适合触控操作的战斗系统，以《FINAL FANTASY XI》的职业、连携、连锁等基本系统为基础改良，企图将之打造为更快速易玩的架构。

手机游戏以及新数据片均为「瓦那迪尔企划（Vana'diel Project）」的其中一环

《FINAL FANTASY GRANDMASTERS》即将展开测试

　　另外，同样延续《FINAL FANTASY XI》世界观、与 CROOZ 合作开发的智能型手机在线 RPG《FINAL FANTASY GRANDMASTERS（ファイナルファンタジーグランドマスターズ）》（iOS／Android）预计 2015 年 4 月展开测试。

   

　　玩家在这款游戏中可以自由组合各式各样的职业、装备，打造自己的原创角色并培育强化，还能够和遇到的同伴进行聊天等交流，主打「实时协力战斗」这样的系统。

公开最终章数据片 明年停止 PS2 、Xbox 360 版本营运



　　此外，现在营运中的在线游戏《FINAL FANTASY XI》将在 2015 年 11 月推出集大成的第 6 数据片「瓦那迪尔的星曲（ヴァナ・ディールの星呗）」，数据片将分三段时间更新，分别在 2015 年的 5 月、8 月和 11 月，并且会加入许多新的内容，同时也是《FF XI》最后的数据片，将成为该作品的最终章。



　　随着最终章的发表，Windows 版将继续营运，但 PlayStation 2 版与 Xbox 360 版将在 2016 年 3 月停止服务。另外，在线游戏在 5 月开始将会有一连串的感谢祭活动。

　　《Final Fantasy 零式》于在 2015 年推出次世代主机的高画质重制版本。配合该游戏上市，台湾微软宣布于 3 月 19 日推出「Xbox One 单机版 Final Fantasy 零式 HD 经典组」，估计零售价马币1699。

Square Enix Announces the “Vana’diel Project,” New Plans for Final Fantasy XI

Today, Square Enix announced the “Vana’diel Project” for the massive multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) Final Fantasy XI, which includes three major initiatives to coincide with the game entering its 14th year of service this May. Final Fantasy XI and Vana’diel, the fictional world that forms its setting, have continued to evolve alongside the many players that have adventured there in the years since the official launch in 2002, and this project aims to further expand FFXI and continue to satisfy its players for years to come.





The Final Scenario

The first chapter in the final scenario of the Final Fantasy XI story, “Rhapsodies of Vana’diel,” will be released alongside game updates taking place in May 2015.

It will serve as the pinnacle of the Final Fantasy story, bringing together major characters and elements from more than 13 years of history. The epic tale will come to a close in three parts that are scheduled to release in May, August and November this year. These updates will also see the introduction of new content, such as exciting battles and never-before-seen reward items.

After the final chapter of “Rhapsodies of Vana’diel,” the major updates to the game will cease, but maintenance to fine-tune content will continue. Operation of game services for the Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 platforms will cease in March 2016, but players can continue to enjoy the Windows PC version of Final Fantasy XI beyond that date.

Further, “The Goddess’s Gala” in-game event will also be held - a festival to thank all players who have stepped into Vana’diel over its storied lifetime. This festival will consist of numerous campaigns to be enjoyed by all - from those who still play regularly, to those who have taken a break from adventuring.



Final Fantasy XI Mobile Project

The Final Fantasy XI Mobile project, in collaboration with Nexon Co., Ltd, brings a brand-new generation of Final Fantasy XI to smartphone and mobile devices. This new adaptation will optimize features for mobile devices to create an immersive, responsive and dynamic experience. Battles optimized for a touch control interface, along with improvements to core Final Fantasy XI systems, will provide players smoother gameplay.

Final Fantasy XI Mobile is scheduled for release in Japan, Korea, North America, as well as the European and Asian regions.



Final Fantasy GrandMasters – A New Online Game for Smartphones

Final Fantasy GrandMasters is a full-scale online RPG for smartphones, available in Japan only in 2015, which shares the world and characters of Final Fantasy XI, developed in collaboration with Crooz Inc. (Knights of Avalon). In Final Fantasy GrandMasters, players can pick from familiar jobs and a dazzling variety of equipment to customize, train, and develop their own original characters. The game will feature real-time cooperative battles where players can communicate with comrades while defeating foes and assisting allies.
