《战争机器 4》公布上市宣传影片硬汉父子携手共抗强敌

　　The Coalition 制作，微软工作室发行，预定 10 月 11 日推出中文版的 Xbox One / Windows 10 独占第三人称射击游戏《战争机器 4（Gears of War 4）》，现释出上市宣传影片，供玩家欣赏。

　　《战争机器 4》是《战争机器》系列最新作，时空设定在《战争机器 3》结局后 25 年，由系列战争英雄马可斯‧菲尼克斯（Marcus Fenix）之子捷帝‧菲尼克斯（JD Fenix）担任主角。故事叙述厌恶 COG 高压统治而来到郊区过活的捷帝，因为自己与好友凯特及戴尔的村落遭受攻击，被卷入一场新的战斗，他们将结伴为了拯救所爱的人而奋战，对抗全新的敌人「兽群（Swarm）」。

　　在这段上市宣传影片中，玩家可以见识到垂老矣矣的硬汉马可斯与血气方刚的儿子捷帝，为了人类的存亡与挚爱的家人，挺身而出携手奋战的英姿，以及其所面对的形形色色强大敌人。

World Premiere: Gears of War 4 Launch Trailer

The countdown to October 11th has officially begun as Gears of War 4’s Launch Trailer releases today. Featuring never-before-seen action…and a few surprises.

25 years ago, Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad made Sera safe for tomorrow’s generation. His son JD has lived with that peace, until now. A new threat called the Swarm has emerged and now JD, along with his friends Del and Kait, must fight together and survive the night.

Narrated by John DiMaggio, the voice of Marcus Fenix, the new trailer features high-intensity action orchestrated by a cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” as performed by Lissie. You can also catch the trailer’s television debut later tonight during Monday Night Football on ESPN (5:30PM PT/8:30PM ET).

With the October 11 launch date just a few short weeks away (or on October 7 with early access for Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition owners) Gears of War 4 encourages players to ‘Never Fight Alone’ by teaming up with a friend through cross-platform co-op gameplay on Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms. As Gears of War 4 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, you’ll be able to play across both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, as all game progress, Gamerscore, and Achievements are saved on and accessible through Xbox Live.

Gears of War 4 “Goes Gold” – A New Saga Begins on October 11

Today, Microsoft is pleased to announce that Gears of War 4 has been released to manufacturing ahead of its October 11th worldwide release. This event, also known as “Going Gold,” is a major milestone in development, marking the release of the gold master disc to Xbox replication facilities around the world.

This also marks a major milestone for Xbox as the first-ever Gears of War title available in the Xbox Play Anywhere program, available simultaneously for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Additionally, Gears of War 4 also supports Cross Play across Xbox One and Windows 10 PC in all of the game’s modes, including Versus, campaign and the all-new Horde 3.0 survival mode.

The event was celebrated today by Microsoft’s Board of Directors, who traveled to the Microsoft Canada Excellence Centre in Vancouver, B.C., to help mark the occasion alongside Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, and Rod Fergusson, head of the Vancouver-based development studio The Coalition, responsible for the development of Gears of War.

“This has been a real homecoming for me,” said Fergusson, who started his career in game development at Xbox before joining Epic Games where he was executive producer on the Gears of War trilogy. “Coming back to Xbox to lead a studio of talented people from around the world, all focused on Gears of War, and doing so in my home country of Canada in one of the best cities in the world for technology and entertainment has been a dream come true.”

“Ten years ago, Gears of War was the killer app that brought millions into the Xbox family,” said Spencer. “It’s combination of innovative technology, unique gameplay, and trademark storytelling changed the game forever.”

“With Gears of War 4, I’m very proud of what the team at The Coalition has achieved. Not only is it the most technically ambitious Gears game yet – with split-screen play on both Xbox and Windows 10, Xbox Play Anywhere support, Cross Play across all co-op modes, and available 4K graphics – it’s a return to the grounded, tense and brutal tone that made so many fall in love with this universe, story and characters for the first time.”

Earlier today, fans got a final preview of the game in the Gears of War 4 Launch Trailer that appeared online ahead of its television debut on the US telecast of Monday Night Football on ESPN (game time 5:30 PST). The trailer is the first Gears launch trailer to feature exclusively in-game footage, and is set to a haunting cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” by American singer-songwriter Lissie.

《战争机器》电影正式确认拍摄好莱坞环球影业担纲

　　2006年诞生的《战争机器（Gears of War）》系列游戏，至今已经走过了整整十年。整个游戏的背景故事主要讲述了未来世界人类与地底种族罗卡斯之间的生存之战。同时在此之际,游戏的最新作《战争机器4》也即将发售。

　　而就在近日游戏的发售预热直播中游戏开发商The Coalition studio负责人Rod Fergusson正式确认了由游戏改编的电影目前正在由好莱坞环球影业开发。

　　目前电影的编剧和导演均为确认，针对电影的剧情Rod Fergusson表示，他还不能确认电影剧情将从哪个时点切入。当然在影片刚刚筹备阶段，电影的上映时间同样不能确定。早在2013年，关于这部游戏的改编电影计划就被讨论过，但我们也是直到最近才得到游戏正式确认改编成电影的消息。

　　游戏的最新作《战争机器4》即将在本月（10月）11号正式在PC以及XboxOne平台发售。

New Gears of War 4 Multiplayer Maps to Debut November 1

Coming this November, two of the most popular Gears of War Legacy Maps will make their debut in Gears of War 4 with the addition of Checkout and Drydock for Versus Multiplayer and Horde. Available November 1 for Season Pass holders as part of the early access Developer Playlist*, Checkout and Dry Dock will also be introduced into free public playlists on November 8. The addition of Checkout and Drydock signals the first month of free map updates for Gears of War 4. Owners and fans can look forward to two new maps each month.

Revisit the iconic supermarket in Cole’s hometown of Hanover 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3 in this Legacy Map. Much like the rest of Sera, nature is reclaiming whatever it can following the Locust Wars, but that hasn’t slowed the fast, furious and frenetic combat that takes place between the checkout lanes and the electronics department.

Drydock

Transported from a COG ship building facility to a ship breaking scrapyard on a Seran mudflat, this fan favorite returns with a vengeance to Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer and Horde modes.
