Limited Edition Gears of War 4 Xbox One S and Controllers Revealed
《战争机器4》限定Xbox One S主机及手柄正式公开

　　微软官方正式公布了《战争机器4》限定版Xbox One S，该主机在Xbox One S的基础上增添了《战争机器4》元素，血红色的外壳上有着的爪痕让人不禁想起游戏中的血腥场面。该主机的硬盘容量为2TB，限定套装中搭配的手柄是血红配色的《战争机器4》限定手柄，手柄上的爪痕和主机相呼应，十字键的血色同样让人浮想联翩。有趣的是，主机和手柄上的爪痕是按照《战争机器4》中新出现的怪物的设定来制作的，制作时官方使用了激光蚀刻工艺，保证了爪痕的清晰程度。

　　《战争机器4》限定版Xbox One S套装中还包含《战争机器4》终极版的下载码(Xbox One/Win10双版本)、武器和角色皮肤、多人模式徽章、六个道具包，购买该套装的玩家在2016年10月7日就可以提前进入游戏。该限定套装售价为449.99美元，目前官方已经开启了该限定版的预订。

　　值得注意的是，《战争机器4》血红色限定手柄将单独发售，不想买主机或是PC玩家可以选择直接购买该手柄。除了该限定手柄之外，微软还将推出另外一款《战争机器4》主题的手柄，该手柄仅在Gamestop和微软官方商店上架销售。这款手柄以本作主人公JD的盔甲为灵感，采用了灰蓝两色的配色。这两款手柄的售价均为74.99美元，其预订将在8月1日开启。该手柄将在九月中旬陆续发货。

Official 'Gears of War 4' Xbox One S forged by monster claws and fire

The company's first widely available custom Xbox One S — the console redesign announced at E3 — draws on Gears 4 for inspiration. Its blood-red exterior is scored by faux claw marks, a nod to the upcoming game's new Swarm menace.

The limited edition Gears of War 4 Xbox One S sports a 2TB hard drive and a custom "Crimson Omen" controller that borrows the console's color scheme.

The controller features the same distinctive claw marks as the console along with other nifty flourishes, such as a bloody thumbprint splashed across the D-pad. It will also be sold separately.

The claw marks were added using a laser-etching process that cut into the plastic casing deep enough to ignite a fire. You can see that process in action below.

On the digital goods side, the console bundle includes a download code for Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition (for XB1 and Windows 10), early access to the game on Oct. 7, Gears 4 weapon and character skins, a multiplayer lobby emblem and six "Gear" packs containing in-game items.

Microsoft will also be releasing a second Gears 4-themed controller, also priced at $74.99, as a GameStop and Microsoft Store exclusive. This one features a grey-and-blue color scheme based on the armor worn by protagonist J.D. Fenix, the son longtime Gears hero Marcus Fenix.



Both controllers sport the same enhancements that Microsoft revealed at E3 2016 in June, including a newly textured grip, Bluetooth support and increased wireless range.

The two sold-separately controller packages also include some Gears-specific digital goods to justify the premium $74.99 pricing. You'll get a multiplayer lobby emblem and three "Gear" packs. It's not yet clear what these packs will contain, but it'll likely be cosmetic enhancements for the game's online modes.

Pre-orders for the console bundle are up now and pre-orders for the controllers open on Aug. 1, with the bundle priced at $449.99 and controllers selling individually for $74.99. Orders will start shipping in mid-September.

　　《战争机器 4》是 Xbox 代表作《战争机器》系列最新作，时空设定在《战争机器 3》结局后 25 年，由马可斯‧菲尼克斯（Marcus Fenix）之子 JD‧菲尼克斯（JD Fenix）担任主角。 故事叙述厌恶 COG 高压统治而来到郊区过活的 JD，因为自己与好友凯特及戴尔的村落遭受攻击，被卷入一场新的战斗，他们将结伴为了拯救所爱的人而奋战，对抗全新的敌人「兽群（Swarm）」。

　　The Coalition工作室公布了新的《战争机器4》预约特典。该预约特典将包含三名《战争机器》世界中的经典角色以及两款新的金色涂装武器。

　　新角色包括老年马库斯、明日安雅和丧尸多姆，其中老年马库斯的造型与今年E3期间公开的预告片中相同;而明日安雅的造型则根据之前本作“明日”宣传片中一致，安雅名字前面的“明日”取自她的名言“明天，马库斯。我们最终还是能够迎来明天的。”。

Today we’re excited to announce the Brothers to the End Elite Gear Pack, a new pre-order bonus included in all editions of Gears of War 4. This pack pays homage to some of the most beloved characters from the Gears of War universe, and extends the tradition of offering gold weapons to day one players.

New and current Gears of War 4 pre-order customers will receive three unique characters.

• “Tomorrow Anya” is named after her famous words following the end of the Locust War (“Tomorrow Marcus. We finally have a tomorrow.”) Her appearance is based on her look in the Gears of War 4 television commercial, “Tomorrow,” where she was introduced as the mother of JD Fenix.

• “Old Man Marcus” features an older Marcus Fenix as unveiled in the E3 2016 media briefing demo. Twenty-five years after the Locust War, Marcus and the COG have long since parted ways. His facial hair has grown long and his COG regulation kit has been replaced with by civilian clothes.

• “Zombie Dom” proves there’s no keeping a good solider down, at least in the form of this character skin created as tribute to Marcus’ dearly departed best friend Dominic Santiago.

The Elite Gear pack also includes the Gold Wave Lancer and Gold Wave Gnasher — updated versions of the gold weapon skins awarded to the series’ most-dedicated day one players.

All new and current pre-order customers will also receive the previously announced Vintage Del Pack, which includes the Vintage Del character model and retailer-specific bonus items, including unique weapon skins.



Finally, all pre-order customers will receive the entire Xbox 360 Gears of War collection for use on Xbox One. This includes all four previous games – Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment – and is available only as a limited time offer.Gears Inline

Gears of War 4 is available in Standard ($59.99 USD ERP) and Ultimate Editions ($99.99 USD ERP) and is now available for pre-order from the Xbox Store or from participating retailers. The game launches Tuesday, October 11, 2016 worldwide.

Gears of War 4 Showcased in Glorious 4K at gamescom

Starting today on the gamescom show floor, we’re excited to give fans their first opportunity to play Gears of War 4 on Windows 10 PC. Gears of War 4 is powered by a completely new rendering engine, with the Windows 10 version supporting comprehensive video settings, increased texture resolutions, dynamic resolution support up to 4K and more.

In this short gameplay demo through the “Rescue” chapter of Gears of War 4, our heroes JD, Kait and Del are chasing a large unknown enemy through an old COG fort. Along the way, they encounter two fierce Swarm enemies – Drones and Pouncers – for the first time, and have to battle their way through them before it’s too late.
