Gears of War: Ultimate Edition 'Mad World' Launch Trailer

Mad World Makes a Comeback in the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Launch Trailer

The upcoming release of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition just wouldn't be complete without the return of “Mad World.” So today, Xbox has released the official launch trailer for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, featuring the “Mad World” trailer for the original Gears of War reimagined with all new in-game footage – showcasing the first Gears at its very best.

The original “Mad World” trailer kicked off the franchise with what is one of the most iconic and recognized trailers in the gaming. Paying tribute to the original, the video opens with CG footage from the first Gears and then transitions into in-game footage from Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which has been completely remastered in 1080p and modernized with 60fps multiplayer.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition launches Aug. 25 and is available for digital pre-order and pre-download now. For more information, stay tuned to Xbox Wire and GearsofWar.com.

Gears of War 4 Early Access beta begins April 18, Open Beta on April 25
《战争机器 4》多人联机全球公测将在四月于 Xbox One 平台独占起跑

　　《战争机器》开发工作室 The Coalition 宣布，将于四月于全球推出 Xbox One 平台独占《战争机器 4（Gears of War 4）》「Versus 对抗」模式公开测试，提供玩家抢先体验多人联机游戏内容。

　　多人联机 Beta 测试时间将分为两阶段：

早鸟测试资格：从今（16）日起至 4 月 12 日下午 2 点截止，凡开启 Xbox One / Windows 10 登入 Xbox Live 并执行《战争机器：究极版》多人联机即可获得早鸟测试资格，将可于 4 月 18 日至 4 月 24 日间联机执行 Xbox One《战争机器 4》「Versus 对抗」模式公测。
全面开放测试：自 4 月 24 日起则开放全面测试，凡拥有 Xbox Live 金会员的 Xbox One 玩家都将受邀参加此项公测，直至 5 月 1 日公测结束为止。

　　《战争机器 4》背景舞台设定在《战争机器 3》结局后约 25 年的时空，玩家将要操作「马可斯 ‧ 菲尼克斯（Marcus Fenix）」之子「捷帝 ‧ 菲尼克斯（JD Fenix）」、「戴尔蒙特 ‧ 沃克（Delmont Walker）和新女性角色「凯特 ‧ 黛兹（Kait Daiz）」探索黑暗的古堡并从神秘的异形怪物的追击中脱逃。

Gears fans, the wait is almost over. We know you’ve been eager to see what’s in store for the future of Gears multiplayer, and next month we’re excited to give you the first taste and an opportunity to help shape the multiplayer experience in Gears of War 4 with the launch of our global Versus multiplayer beta, exclusively on Xbox One.

Beginning on April 18, fans who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 will begin to receive tokens in waves for early access to the beta. Following the conclusion of early access on April 24, all qualifying Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One will be invited to join the beta until it ends on May 1. In addition, we’re extending the timeframe for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition players to qualify for early access to the Gears of War 4 beta from March 1 to April 11. To qualify, just log on to Xbox Live and play Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 by 11 p.m. PDT, April 11.

　　微软在官方部落格透露此则消息，并且在 Entertainment Weekly 网站独家透露这个以抵抗狂风暴雨为意象的封面插图。并且看到游戏主角群「捷帝 ‧ 菲尼克斯（JD Fenix）」、「戴尔蒙特 ‧ 沃克（Delmont Walker）和新女性角色「凯特 ‧ 黛兹（Kait Daiz）」挺立对抗风暴的样貌。

　　《战争机器 4》时间轴设定在《战争机器 3》结局后约 25 年的时空，「马可斯 ‧ 菲尼克斯（Marcus Fenix）」之子「捷帝 ‧ 菲尼克斯（JD Fenix）」将会一肩扛下 4 代的主角大任。根据微软在官方部落格的透露「今日的发表将会是点燃包含捷帝 ‧ 菲尼克斯在内的《战争机器》次世代英雄，接踵而来的一系列消息曝光。」

　　The Coalition 制作，微软工作室预定 10 月 11 日推出的 Xbox One 独占第三人称射击游戏《战争机器 4（Gears of War 4）》，10 日公布最新宣传影片「明日（Tomorrow）」供玩家欣赏。

　　《战争机器 4》时空设定在《战争机器 3》后 25 年，由熟悉的硬汉马可斯‧菲尼克斯（Marcus Fenix）之子捷帝‧菲尼克斯（JD Fenix）挑起重任，继承父亲的传奇，再度面对可怕的新敌人。

　　这段宣传影片以熟悉的 60 年代经典老歌「The Sound of Slinet」为配乐，透过交错呈现捷帝「现在」的奋战与「过去」的童年，带出父子两代的羁绊，以及面对人类梦魇重生的悲壮感。

Gears of War 4 Trailer Offers Glimpse of a New Hero and a Nightmare Reborn

On October 11, a new generation of heroes will rise and confront an ominous new threat in Gears of War 4, the first chapter of a brand-new saga developed by The Coalition.

Today, we’re excited to debut our first story trailer, “Tomorrow,” which connects the legacy of the Fenix family from father to son and features a foreboding glimpse of the new menace that awaits.

At the conclusion of Gears of War 3, Marcus Fenix wondered what tomorrow would bring. What a world without war would look like. This is the story of two tomorrows – the one Marcus envisioned, and the one 25 years later, where all hope is shattered as a new nightmare is reborn.

“Tomorrow” features Disturbed’s haunting cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” and offers a hint of how Gears of War 4 brings the franchise back to the dark, mysterious and intense tone of the original classic.
