Ghostlight to port Japanese RPGs to Switch



Ghostlight—which is known for its PC ports of Japanese games like Mary Skelter: Nightmares, Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God, Omega Quintet, Lost Dimension, and more—has signed on as an official Switch developer and has started work on its first Japanese RPG port for Switch, the company announced.

“I hope you’re all looking forward to our Nintendo Switch releases as much as we are, and please stay tuned for more information on which JRPG we’re going to be bringing to Switch in the near future,” Ghostlight teased.

Three Hot Nindie Games Available on Nintendo Switch Starting TODAY!

Nintendo of Europe has just released a video focusing on upcoming Nindie launches on the Nintendo Switch system. During the video, it was revealed that three new indie games are launching … today. Starting today, Bad North from Raw Fury, Morphies Law from Cosmoscope and Prison Architect: Nintendo Switch Edition from Double Eleven/Introversion Software are all available in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.

All of these games offer interesting takes on their respective genres, offering a little bit of something for everyone. Bad North combines real-time tactics and roguelite strategy as players defend against Viking invaders. Morphies Law is a team-based shooter where your size affects your abilities, but bigger isn’t always better! And in Prison Architect, you have to overcome the challenges of constructing and managing a maximum-security prison – not the typical focus of a simulation game.

Nintendo Switch is full of creative indie games from talented Nindie developers – with more games coming to the system every week. To help keep up with all the recent Nindie news, here are some additional updates about indie games on the way, games that recently released and fun news about the world of independent game development you might have missed.

Recent Nindie News

• Indie publisher Devolver Digital has been launching multiple games on Nintendo Switch this summer – or as the hip kids are saying on social media, the #SummerofDevolver. To close out the summer, Broforce fist bumps its way to Nintendo Switch on Sept. 6, while The Messenger delivers its slick 8- and 16-bit action on Aug. 30.

• People love Hollow Knight. And now people are about to get even more Hollow Knight! Hollow Knight – Godmaster, the upcoming free content pack that adds more bosses, music and quests, launches on Aug. 23. (The full game is required to access the DLC.)

• You don’t need to roll a 20-side die to get the free update for Enter the Gungeon. You just have to download it! The currently available “Advanced Gungeons and Draguns” expansion adds hundreds of new rooms with dozens of new weapons, items, enemies and ammo types. (The full game is required to access the DLC.)

• If your Nintendo Switch backlog is not already long enough, some recent notable indie launches on Nintendo Switch include Overcooked! 2 from Team17, Dead Cells from Motion Twin, Minit from Devolver Digital, Salt and Sanctuary from Ska Studios and Flipping Death from Zoink Games.

• A tasty episode of Nintendo Minute cooked up some fresh gameplay and spicy tips for Overcooked! 2.

• The developers of Overcooked! 2 were interviewed about their chaotic and fun new game on a recent episode of the Nintendo Power Podcast.

Syberia 3 for Switch launches October 18



The Switch version of Syberia 3 will launch physically and digitally on October 18, publisher and developer Microids announced.

Syberia 3 is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

In addition to the base game, the Switch version also includes the downloadable content “An Automaton with a Plan,” in which you “play as Oscar and discover a whole new part of Kate Walker’s journey.”

Arena of Valor for Switch launches in September
《王者荣耀》海外版《传说对决》将于9月正式登陆Switch

　　腾讯出品的MOBA游戏《王者荣耀》海外版《传说对决》（Arena of Valor）今日放出了一段Switch版新宣传视频，视频最后显示本作将于9月正式登陆Switch平台。游戏在Switch上将会有强化的视觉效果，并支持传统的摇杆按键操作。

　　《传说对决》是由新加坡Garena和腾讯天美工作室群共同开发、Garena发行的DotA模式的多人在线战斗竞技场游戏（MOBA），目前在iOS和Android平台免费可免费下载游玩。

　　该游戏目前的常规游戏地图有七种，分别是传说战场（5v5）、狩猎森林（3v3）、海盗船（飞钩夺宝战）、黯影夜岗（1v1）、黑域竞技场（随机单中5v5）、太阳神遗迹（死斗竞技场2v2v2v2v2）以及足球总动员（3v3，不定期开放）。根据模式的不同，每一场游戏的平均时间大约为4至18分钟。

   

The Switch version of Arena of Valor will launch via the Nintendo eShop in September, publisher Tencent Games announced.

The free-to-play multiplayer online battle game, which is currently available for iOS and Android devices, enables players to command a roster of over 35 heroes with roles including tanks, assassins, mages, support, warriors, and marksman, and build the ultimate team with friends to defeat opponents in real-time online battles. It features multiple gameplay modes, including five-versus-five, three-versus-three, one-versus-one, and the unique “Hook Wars” mode.

　　在 2018 年 E3 首度曝光，由 Marvelous 推出的 Nintendo Switch 专用机械动作游戏《DAEMON X MACHINA》近日在欧洲游戏展 Gamescom 2018 期间期间释出全新宣传影片，

　　本作制作阵容由包括经典机人战斗游戏系列《机战佣兵》、《Fate/EXTELLA》系列制作人佃健一郎担任制作人；曾执导过《创圣的大天使》、《超时空要塞》的动画家河森正治负责游戏中的机械设定；至于角色设定则是由曾负责《 圣火降魔录 if 白夜王国》、《英雄不再》系列的画家 Yūsuke Kozaki（コザキユースケ）操刀。

　　在本次影片中，除了揭露大型机器人战斗场面外，亦包括了类似驾驶员的装甲以及两位角色。

The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – The Complete First Season for Switch launches August 28



The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – The Complete First Season will launch for Switch on August 28 for $24.99 in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and most of Europe, developer Telltale Games announced. It will feature English audio with English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian subtitles.

The Switch version of The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – The Complete First Season includes all five original episodes, as well as the add-on anthology The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – 400 Days. Both have been ported from the 2017-released The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection, which offered “substantial visual and performance enhancements over previous editions.”

Telltale Games will also release The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – Season Two and The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – A New Frontier for Switch later this year, but specific release dates have yet to be announced.

Super Mario Party reveals River Survival mode
《超级马里奥聚会》河流生存模式试玩演示 四人合作攻克难关

　　任天堂放出了一段10分钟左右的《超级马里奥聚会》实机试玩演示，展示了新的「河流生存模式」（River Survival Mode）。和以往四人对抗或互相陷害的玩法不同，该模式中需要四人合作划船和共同完成很多小游戏，非常适合好友聚会。

　　在本作中，以往透过掷骰子形式来玩的「马里奥聚会」模式随着新增各角色独自的骰子等新元素，战略性变得更丰富。本作更增加了活用Joy-Con功能的小游戏。在玩具派对模式裡，将2台Switch主机画面并列将会连接成一个画面，增加了到目前为止从未享受过的各种玩法。

　　《超级马里奥聚会》预定于10月5日发售，支持中文。

   

Nintendo revealed a new mode for Super Mario Party called “River Survival” at Gamescom 2018.

River Survival is a four-player co-op mode where players raft downstream while avoiding obstacles and take part in various mini-games.

Super Mario Party is due out for Switch on October 5.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy DLC character Thief Arthur from Kai-ri-Sei Million Arthur announced

　　日前，在 Square Enix 为街机 2D 对战格斗游戏《百万亚瑟王 圣灵之血》举办的比赛上，公布了该作将于 2018 年 11 月 29 日发售 PS4 版，并且《拳皇 XIV》中的八神庵将作为联动角色登场。另外，《乖离性百万亚瑟王》中的盗贼亚瑟也将作为联动角色登陆《SNK女主角组队热斗》。

　　《百万亚瑟王 圣灵之血》街机版于去年11 月在日本开始运营，本次的PS4 版除收录现有街机内容外，还加入了新的角色，《叛逆性百万亚瑟王》的山猫亚瑟、《红莲之王4》的咲山小梅以及与 SNK 联动的八神庵。

　　早在 2014 年时，SNK 曾因 Square Enix 旗下《月刊ビッグガンガン》的连载漫画《高分少女》涉嫌多次未经授权使用SNK游戏角色，将 Square Enix 告上了法庭，这场版权纠纷直至2015 年才和解。值得一提的是，在 Square Enix 的和解公告中提到了SNK 的大股东Ledo Millennium希望在和解后双方可以有更多的合作机会，而在和解的数月前，中国的乐游科技控股有限公司收购了Ledo Millennium的100%股权，至于这家公司的背景，大家可以自行百度。总之，通过这一次《拳皇》与《百万亚瑟王》两个系列作品的角色联动，可以确定SNK与SE真正的达成了和解并进行了深一步的合作，可喜可贺。

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy will add Thief Arthur from Kai-ri-Sei Million Arthur as a paid downloadable content character on September 13, SNK announced during the Million Arthur: Arcana Blood official finals tournament.
