Star Ocean 5 launches June 28 in North America, July 1 in Europe



Epic Sci-Fi RPG Saga Arriving in North America on June 28

Square Enix unveils that the latest epic sci-fi RPG adventure in the Star Ocean saga, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, is set to arrive in North America on June 28th (July 1 in Europe). Arriving just in time for the Summer blockbuster season, the title follows the journey that Fidel and his friends must make in order to protect the mysterious girl Relia who holds the key to the story.

For fans who want to take full advantage of the Star Ocean experience, the Collector’s Edition and Day One Edition are now available for pre-order. Details of the full offerings that fans will be able to enjoy can be found below.

Star Ocean 5 'Kingdom of Resulia' and 'Kingdom of Langdauq' Trailers

   

   

Resulia is a vibrant kingdom that represents everything great about the Vestielian continent. Recently, however, it has been wracked by threats, including cursed beasts and a fiendish group of bandits named Eitalon. This upheaval plaguing Resulia is one reason Fidel and his companions embark on their journey; they wish to restore balance to this once productive and safe nation.


Langdauq has prospered under the rule of its matriarchs, or Venerable Mothers, the current of which is Malvenaec. Not only is she a fair leader, but she also knows how to sling a spell or two, and as a member of the ruling family, she has access to exclusive signets that are passed down from generation to generation via a sacred rite of passage. Thanks in part to this system, the nation has developed into a signeturgical power. Though Langdauq could easily abuse its proficiency in the signeturgical arts for political gain, it instead has forged an alliance with Resulia to provide it with military aid.

　　台湾索尼互动娱乐（SIET）今日宣布，将于 2016 年 6 月 9 日推出由 SQUARE ENIX 发行的 PlayStation 4 专用游戏《星海游侠 5 –诚实与背信-（前译，银河游侠 5）（原文，スターオーシャン 5 -Integrity and Faithlessness-）》繁体中文版。

　　配合繁体中文版发售日的公开，台湾索尼互动娱乐也邀请媒体前往该公司总部，抢先试玩开发版本的《星海游侠 5》繁体中文版游戏。



　　《星海游侠 5》由曾开发《女神战记》、《无尽探险》等知名游戏的开发商 tri-Ace 研发，舞台设定在科幻融合奇幻「宇宙历」世界，描述介于《银河游侠 2》（宇宙历 366 年）与《银河游侠 3》（宇宙历 722 年）之间、发生在宇宙历 537 年的故事。

　　进入游戏后，会带领玩家进入宇宙历 537 年，位于未开拓的行星「菲克利德」，游戏开头玩家要操作主角「菲迪尔」，为了防御意图洗劫村庄的盗贼团的来袭而四处奔走。 《星海游侠 5》最大的特色，就是系列首度尝试无接缝式事件进行方式，透过 “动态过场镜头”在事件进行当中不是如同其他游戏一般以固定的运镜观看角色的对话，而是可一边进行事件对话，一边操作主角移动及变更视点。 在事件进行中观看其他角色对应主角动作的视线或反应也是相当饶富趣味。

　　另外，《星海游侠 5》的 3D 角色建模也相当细致，3D 模块成功重现了以《快打旋风》系列、《逆 A 钢弹》广为人知的日本插画家 akiman（安田朗）所设计的日本动漫画风格角色。 仔细检视 3D 角色可以观察到服装具有一条条的皱褶纹理、光影打在服装上的反光表现也非常亮眼。







　　在通过初期事件进入战斗后，也可以看到《星海游侠 5》强调无接缝式的游玩体验，不必切换进战斗场景，在原野上遇敌后马上切换进战斗立刻发招攻击敌人。 对战时强调「三相克」的剪刀石头布的系统，「○」为小攻击，「×」钮为大攻击，「□」钮则是防御，小攻击可以克大攻击，大攻击可以克防御，而防御可以削减小攻击的伤害。 当敌人预备施展大攻击时，会显示蓝色的聚力气场，在此时命中小攻击就可以打断对方大攻击。 而按住小攻击跟大攻击钮可以分别施展不同必杀技，如果想要快速暴力解决敌人时，也可以使用小攻击 → 大攻击 → 必杀技 的连段来快速累积伤害破敌。 根据相克系统采取适当的行动，奥义计量表累积速度会增加，战斗结束后的报酬奖励也会变多。



　　在试玩至第一个头目登场左右进度，队伍人数总共会增加至 4 人前后的标准人数。 而在更后期的进度，场上战斗人数甚至会增加到 6 人之多。 除了可以透过「职能」来设定非操作角色的 AI 之外，也可以输入方向钮来随时变更手动的操作角色。 在队伍角色变多之后，战场上我方加上敌方将会超过十个以上的对象同时发招互斗，非常热闹刺激。





　　《星海游侠 5》承袭了系列作传统，兼具动作游戏操作感与战略性的实时动作战斗，在本作全面进化为无接缝系统。 玩家可在原野上实时变换移动与战斗，畅享极具魄力的战斗体验。 不仅是战斗，过场事件也采无接缝方式在原野上实时进行，甚至在事件中也能直接进入战斗。 本作透过将事件与战斗融为一体，带给人兼具爽快感与故事性的崭新游戏体验。

Gear Up for the Launch of Latets Star Ocena Imstallment With Final Star Log Episode

At E3 2016, Square Enix broadcasted the final episode of the “Star Log” series with special guest Tessa Netting, the voice actress for the character Relia, showcasing a variety of video content and new information on the upcoming sci-fi RPG title, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness.

The special episode premiered new videos introducing the game’s diverse English voice cast, the official launch trailer, the character spotlight video familiarizing players with the mysterious girl Relia, and footage of the Charles D. Goal F, the spaceship players will use to voyage across the galaxy.

Fans who pre-order the Digital Day One Edition from the PlayStation Store starting today will also receive an exclusive dynamic character theme. The theme features the main characters, Fidel in the city of Central Resulia, Miki in her hometown of Stahl, and Relia in the team’s spaceship, with music from the soundtrack composed by Motoi Sakuraba.

　　Square Enix 公布了又一经典游戏的重制计划《星海游侠 3 - 直到时间的尽头》导演剪辑终极高清版（Ultimate Hits HD: Star Ocean: Til the End of Time: Director’s Cut）。

　　为了庆祝 tri-Ace 开发的《星海游侠》系列诞生 20th 周年，Square Enix 宣布将把在 2004 年登陆PS2 的《星之海洋3：直到时间的尽头》导演剪辑版移植到PS4上（《星海游侠 3 - 直到时间的尽头》最初版本发行于2003 年 2 月）。游戏支持1080p，但过场动画仍然保持原始分辨率……游戏支持PS4成就，游戏只发行数字版。

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time announced for PS4

Square Enix will release Star Ocean: Till the End of Time for PlayStation 4 as a PS2-on-PlayStation 4 title in Japan in 2017, the company announced.

The download-only title is part of a new Ultimate Hits HD series from Square Enix and uses the power of PlayStation 4’s PS2 emulator to up-render the game in full high-definition with less jaggies and better lighting. The PlayStation 4 version also supports trophies, share features, remote play, and removes the stress of disc-changing and lengthy load times.

More specifically, this is Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Director’s Cut, which was released for PlayStation 2 in Japan in 2004, a year after the release of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. The Director’s Cut, however, is based on the North American and European versions of the game, which includes bonus features not in the original Japanese release such as new characters and dungeons.

The game, originally released for PlayStation 2, is emulated on PlayStation 4 using the power the system’s high-definition emulator. It offers clearer visuals up-rendered in full high definition, with less jaggies and better lighting. It also supports trophies, share features, remote play, and lessens load times.

A western release has yet to be announced, but Square Enix recently trademarked “Till the End of Time” in Europe, suggesting it is planned. English trophies also surfaced earlier this week.
