Halo 5: Guardians Launches October 27 Worldwide, Exclusively on Xbox One

Tonight's finale of “The Walking Dead” on AMC wasn’t the only cliffhanger that left fans searching for answers. Two new live-action trailers for Halo 5: Guardians kick off one of the most epic showdowns in entertainment history, pitting the legendary Master Chief against the UNSC’s top manhunter – Spartan Locke. Leading the greatest gaming lineup in Xbox history, Halo 5: Guardians will launch worldwide on October 27, exclusively on Xbox One.

The first spot, titled “All Hail,” highlights Spartan Locke drawing down on the compromised Master Chief, questioning his legacy and motives. The second, “The Cost,” shows the Master Chief with the upper hand over an injured Spartan Locke, delivering a powerful manifesto about the true price of being a hero.

Which version is true? Who is the hunter and who is the hunted?

“We wanted Halo 5: Guardians to be the game that pays off the epic promise of the Halo universe in scope and scale and drama,” said Bonnie Ross, Head of 343 Industries. “We want to amaze players with the sheer size of the worlds and battles they’ll experience, even as they question everything they thought they knew about its heroes, marvels and mysteries. #HunttheTruth is only the beginning and we can’t wait to debut the game to Xbox fans around the world at E3 this June.”

On March 22, Xbox and 343 Industries revealed “Hunt the Truth” – an episodic narrative audio series, now available on HuntTheTruth.tumblr.com. The series stars Keegan-Michael Key (“Key and Peele”) as Benjamin Giraud, a war-journalist who slowly unearths startling new revelations about who the Master Chief really is, forcing listeners to reevaluate what they know about humanity’s greatest hero. Episodes are released each week via Tumblr and syndicated across multiple podcast platforms, leading up to E3 in June 2015.

As we draw closer to the release of Halo 5: Guardians on October 27, 2015, fans around the world continue to unravel new details around the Xbox One exclusive.

As a continuation of the #HUNTtheTRUTH campaign that has captured the attention of fans through multiple live-action trailers (“All Hail” and “The Cost”) and an episodic audio series available on HuntTheTruth.tumblr.com – Xbox fans around the world came together to reveal the cover art for Halo 5: Guardians.

Last week, several cryptic images were released to various online channels across the globe…no instructions, no explanation, no references to the Halo universe. It didn’t take long for Halo Nation to scour the Internet to piece together the mystery to reveal the cover art for Halo 5: Guardians.

Today, we’re proud to release the final cover art for Halo 5: Guardians, including a special video version that highlights the Spartan fireteams that play a crucial role in the showdown between the Master Chief and Spartan Locke.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection Adds Remnant and Halo 3: ODST Today

Brand new content is here for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Available today, “Remnant,” a re-imagined version of the Halo 2 multiplayer map “Relic,” will be added to the multiplayer of Halo 2: Anniversary as part of a free game content update. The fan-favorite Halo 3: ODST campaign, enhanced and running in 1080p and 60fps for the first time is also launching today.

The Halo 3: ODST campaign will be free to eligible consumers who logged in to their Xbox Live account and played Halo: The Master Chief Collection between Nov. 11, 2014 and Dec. 19, 2014. The Halo 3: ODST campaign will also be available as downloadable content for Halo: The Master Chief Collection through the Xbox Store for $4.99.

A secluded island, hidden along the coastal regions of Delta Halo, “Remnant” features a towering and iconic Forerunner megalith, weathered over untold millennia. 　　系列新作《最后一战 5：守护者》于本届 E3 展中公布更多游戏内容，本作使用全新引擎打造，并新增 12 VS 12 Warzone 玩法。 今日开发商 343 Industries 工作室总裁 Josh Holmes、多人对战首席开发人员 William Archbell 及资深环境艺术设计师 Wade Mulhern 特别为巴哈姆特 GNN 等媒体解析更多细节。

　　《最后一战》是由 343 工作室所研发的系列射击游戏，今年的 E3 电玩展中与微软一同曝光最新作品《最后一战 5：守护者》相关内容。 游戏制作人透露，在 3 年前的时候就已经有《最后一战 5：守护者》的计划，当时就一直在思考要怎么做下一代，研发团队想要以不同的方式让玩家体验游戏内容，包括多人、故事等。

　　此次媒体活动，制作人针对游戏单人模式、多人联机以及 Warzone 进行详细介绍。 《最后一战 5：守护者》故事比以往做还庞大，很多历代作品的角色也将再次登场，并会新增新的敌人。 在单人模式中，玩家可以玩两个不同的小队，了解两个故事，第一个当然是士官长以及他的小队「Blue Team」，另一个是由 Agent Locke 率领的「Fireteam Osiris」。 虽然玩家可以从两个队伍来体验，不过故事还是以士官长为主轴，往外扩展，玩家将从不同的角度来看士官长。

　　在单人模式中，除了士官长外还有 4 位 AI 队员，玩家可以对他们下指令，如影片中展示的，可以下令要他们击毁直升机，或是在拯救小队成员时玩家不必自己拯救队员，可以下令请 AI 协助。 在单人模式中还有「合作」元素在内，好友可以随时加入取代一位 AI 一起游玩，当然也可以随时离开，而该名成员将会再次变回 AI。 另外，游戏中还加入了追踪功能，玩家可以藉此功能找到不一样的东西。

   

　　而多人联机方面，目前已经有 20 张地图，明年 6 月前还将新增 15 张地图，并免费开放。 制作团队表示：「我们不希望新地图开放，玩家却玩不到，所以之后会采免费的方式推出。 」

　　而这次的重点内容「Warzone」是一个 12 VS 12 的对战玩法，战场上除了有玩家外，AI 也会加入战局，在这里玩家可以体验所有武器等内容。 一般的 Warzone 战斗时间大约在 20 至 25 分钟，游戏目标是率先抢下一千分者即可获胜，玩家可以透过抢地盘、击杀地图 Boss 来快速取得分树，或是摧毁对方的能量核心来达到胜利。 另外，游戏中还有升级机制，升级会得到「req」，获得的「req」越多，玩家可以选择的武器也更多。

　　制作人透露：「其实 Warzone 这个想法在制作《Halo 4》的时候就已经有产生了，但当时还没有推出。 」
