New Xbox Wireless Controller designs
There are two new controller designs coming this fall. First, we have the Xbox Wireless Controller Dawn Shadow Special Edition that comes in a metallic magenta that fades into a matte black finish. Secondly, we have an Xbox Wireless Controller in blue — a fan-favorite color from Xbox Design Lab. Similar to the controller we launched alongside Xbox One S, these new controllers have the new streamlined design, textured grip for enhanced comfort, and Bluetooth technology for gaming on Windows 10 PCs, laptops and tablets*. The new Dawn Shadow controller will be available in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and other Xbox regions October 4 for $69.99 USD. The blue controller will be available in select regions starting September 27 for $64.99 USD, and will hit the shelves at Microsoft Stores and Best Buy first in the U.S.
New Xbox Wireless Controller coming in black
We’re also updating the black Xbox Wireless Controller to include the new controller features announced at E3. This includes updating the controllers in our PC controller bundles with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, and with the USB Charging Cable. Both bundles allow you to play seamlessly across your Xbox and Windows devices, giving you choice on how you connect to your PC – with Xbox Wireless, USB, or Bluetooth.* The Xbox Wireless Controller in black and PC bundles will start arriving in stores worldwide in September and October respectively, starting at $59.99 USD.
Introducing the Xbox Stereo Headset
In addition to releasing new controllers this fall, we will also be shipping the new Xbox Stereo Headset – Special Edition. This comfortable lightweight headset allows you to privately listen to and chat in games on Xbox Live – the fastest and most reliable gaming network. The headset also perfect for listening to TV or movies on your Xbox in rich, stereo sound. Plus, the white color is the perfect complement to the white Xbox One S console and matching controller. You can get the Xbox Stereo Headset – Special Edition at Microsoft Stores and GameStop in the U.S. for $64.99 USD and at participating retailers in all Xbox regions around the world starting in late October.

Open Beta for Gigantic Launches on the Xbox Game Preview Program December 8
Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of free-to-play online games, and Motiga Inc. are thrilled to announce that Open Beta for Gigantic launches as part of the Xbox Game Preview program on Xbox One and on Windows 10 in North America and Europe on December 8, 2016. The free-to-play competitive action MOBA offers cross-play between platforms and releases on Arc (PC Windows) at a to-be determined date following the Xbox Game Preview program.
“With Gigantic, we are trying to create an entirely new competitive experience. Throughout development, Gigantic has gotten attention for its unique art style, whimsical setting and fast-paced gameplay, but our goal has always been something more,” said James Phinney, VP of Product Development at Motiga, “We’ve sought to build a game full of intense moments and meaningful strategic choices, where there are many paths to victory and it’s always possible to come back and win. Open Beta and participation in the Xbox Game Preview program is an exciting new phase for the project. We’re really looking forward to partnering with players to finish up Gigantic.”
Players can also check out Gigantic for a limited time during this weekend’s Closed Beta test, which runs from Thursday, December 1 at 9:00am (PST) through Sunday, December 4 at 11:59 pm (PST).
As part of the Xbox Game Preview program, the free Open Beta features a weekly rotation of six heroes from a roster of 16 and three maps: Siren’s Stand, Ghost Reef and Sanctum Falls. Each hero features a unique playstyle that can be further customized via skill trees during each match. Teams work together to attack enemies while claiming points on the map to summon powerful Creatures. Players can power up their team’s Guardian by controlling the battlefield and defeating enemies. Victory is awarded to the team that overpowers their opponents’ Guardian.
Gigantic is a free-to-play competitive action MOBA developed by Motiga. Even though it's gorgeously rendered, light-hearted and charming, Gigantic is for enthusiast gamers and pits teams of five hardcore heroes and their massive Guardians against each other in epic battles across a variety of maps. The game combines explosive combat with fast-paced teamwork, strategy, and skill, as players are required to work together and fight relentlessly to defeat opposing Guardians with spells, guns and swords.
