Additionally, on June 27 at 12:00 JST, Level-5 will hold an event that will be live streamed on YouTube where it will announce a new Yo-kai Watch game that is not Yo-kai Watch 4 in commemoration of the series’ fifth anniversary. It is said to be a title that will shake the world.
Inazuma Eleven Ares delayed to fall in Japan
Inazuma Eleven Ares, which was previously set for release this summer in Japan, has been delayed to fall.
The soccer RPG will be available for PlayStation 4, Switch, iOS, and Android.
Inazuma Eleven Ares will be playable for the first time at World Hobby Fair Summer 2018 on June 23 and 24.
Yo-kai Watch 5th Anniversary Title Presentation set for June 27
Level-5 will host a “Yo-kai Watch 5th Anniversary Title Presentation” on June 27, where it will announce its previously teased new entry in the series. The presentation will be live streamed on YouTube.
The official website for the event features a main visual of Komasan and Jibanyan holding smartphones with question marks on them, and a town of yo-kai behind them.
Given that the previously reported teaser text for the new title included “An ultra epic title that will shake the world” and “Head out on a grand adventure with your smartphone,” and the fact that Komasan and Jibanyan are holding smartphones, it is likely the new title to be announced is a smartphone game.
Level-5 has released a teaser trailer for Yo-kai Watch 4.
Yo-kai Watch 4 will launch for Switch in 2018 in Japan.
Inazuma Eleven Ares coming west in 2019
Inazuma Eleven Ares will launch in North America and Europe in 2019, Level-5 announced.
The news is tucked away in a press release published on June 21 announcing Level-5’s 20th anniversary:
Inazuma Eleven is a Super Dimensional action adventure about a team from humble beginnings rising up to keep their passion alive in the face of a corrupt elite corporation. Only when using their Special Moves can they get their point across. The latest installment in the Inazuma Eleven franchise, Inazuma Eleven Ares, depicts a parallel world that will feature both new characters and cast from the original in action packed, heart wrenching matches between the good, the evil, and those in between. Building on the foundation laid by previous series, which number over 250 episodes, four movies and more than eight million Nintendo games sold to date, the reboot series has begun its broadcast premiere in Asia, is scheduled to launch in Europe Fall 2018, and is planned to debut in North America for the first time in 2019. The slate also includes the premiere of the video game in 2019 with the aim to tap into the growing eSports movement.
In Japan, Inazuma Eleven Ares is due out for PlayStation 4, Switch, and smartphones this fall.

Level-5 and GungHo Online Entertainment have announced Yo-kai Watch World for smartphones. The location-based yo-kai discovery game is available now for iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play in Japan.
Here is an overview of the game, via its store pages:
You are the Protagonist on an Adventure Set All over Japan
The many unique yo-kai of the Yo-kai Watch series like Jibanyan and Komasan appear in the real world. Search for and battle against the yo-kai that appear all over Japan. Complete your Yo-kai Encyclopedia by moving yourself or by getting other players to move.
First, “Search” for Yo-kai on the Map
In order to find nearby yo-kai, “Search” the location you’re at on the map. There are various yo-kai to be discovered depending on the location. Don’t forget to Search whenever you visit a new place.
Find Yo-kai with Your Smartphone Screen
Tap the icon of the yo-kai you discover through Search. By doing this, you will be able to see that yo-kai through your smartphone screen. Find yo-kai and pursue them so they don’t escape.
Battle Yo-kai with Simple Controls
When you Search for yo-kai, a battle will begin. Since battles are semi-automatic, they’re very simple. Use special moves when you have an opening or are in a pinch. By winning battles against a yo-kai, you may be able to befriend them. By training the yo-kai you befriend, you can battle even stronger yo-kai.
Possess Nearby Players
Your yo-kai can “Possess” nearby players. A possessor yo-kai can travel with the player it possesses to new areas. They might bring back a yo-kai from somewhere you couldn’t go on your own, or sometimes they even bring souvenirs. (Rest assured that your exact position will not be shown to nearby players.)
Plant “Yo-kai Trees” at Various Places
You can plant trees at your current location, as well as at places a possessor yo-kai visits. Yo-kai gather around trees, creating the opportunity for new encounters. Make proper use of Yo-kai Trees to increase the number of places you can befriend new yo-kai.
Plenty of Ways to Play
Yo-kai Watch World is full of other ways to play. From “Advent Bosses” you can enjoy anywhere, to “Departed Maps” where you can look back on your previous travels and more. How you play is up to you.
