On Nov. 13, 2010, more than ten thousand people from central and southern Taiwan traveled to Taipei City to protest against the possible approval (by Ma's Government) of building an oil refinery (naphtha cracker) by KuoKwang Petrochemical Technology Company (國光石化科技股份有限公司) in southern Changhua County. Changhua County has been one of the major agricultural lands on Taiwan where 23M Taiwan people depend on its rice, vegetable and fruit productions.
In 1949, when CKS regime fled from China, 2M Chinese sailed along with CKS to Taiwan then, and all those millions new immigrants could be still well fed by the food products grown mostly on the agricultural lands in central Taiwan right after WWII! Now the Chinese Ma's government in Taiwan is tempting to push the construction of more oil refineries on our futile lands, to produce something that are not going to be used in Taiwan. Both Ma YJ and Vincent Siew's future generations are unlikely to live here on Taiwan, but they just could not stop contaminating this beautiful and self-sufficient island where 23M free Taiwanese live!
To our Taipei City fellow countrymen: Unless you decide to eat only foods imported from PRC, you and your family should thank our farmers living in central Taiwan areas for having been working so hard day in and day out for generations to provide the foods you and your family have been eating! If most of the agricultural lands in central Taiwan are to be further contaminated, you and your family will surely be either starved or poisoned, no matter how much money you will be making! So please bear with us while we are protecting our own good farmlands that can continue growing your healthy daily foods.
To Vincent Siew (蕭萬長): Who do you think you are? You can decide how we and our future generations should live in our homeland Chang-Hua County?
Save the critically endangered pink dolphins (less than 100) that are found near the west coast of Taiwan where more oil refineries are planned! And save us Homo sapiens!
