New Umbrella Corps gameplay video – Capcom dev team faces off!
A new gameplay video showcasing the fast-paced close quarters combat from Umbrella Corps is now available for download from the press site. Two squads from the development team in Capcom Japan duke it out in heated 3 vs. 3 competitive team battles in the third-person shooter’s One Life Match Mode. In this mode, players must defeat the opposing team in a fast and furious 3-minute time limit without any option to re-spawn.
Voice-over commentary from the team provides insight on some of the tactics used by the experts and spotlights the exclusive features specific to Umbrella Corps. Whether it’s aggressive firing, finding new paths by lifting shutter doors, utilizing the analog cover system, flanking the enemy in careful coordination, or carefully plotted sneak attacks from behind, each adrenaline-fueled match offers quick and satisfying competitive gameplay.
The video also shows off the non-traditional arsenal of weapons in Umbrella Corps that offer an exciting twist on the traditional gun and grenade loadout. The deadly “Brainer” melee axe can be charged up and used as a one-hit kill attack and the “Zombie Jammer” adds an extra variable to the mix. When this is intact, zombies will not attack, but if it’s damaged either by a calculated or errant shot, that player will become instant zombie fodder.
Switching up tactics on the fly will be the key to success! Attendees of New York Comic Con 2015, which begins tomorrow, can study up and put their skills to the test with the first North American demo of the game at the Capcom Booth #1420.
About Umbrella Corps
Umbrella Corps is a new fast-paced third person shooter set in the iconic Resident Evil universe. The competitive online game will feature quick, intense matches in compact battle zones themed from historic Resident Evil environments. The game utilizes the Unity engine developed by Unity Technologies. Umbrella Corps will be available digitally for an MSRP of $29.99 on PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PC across North America and Europe in early 2016.
Today Capcom confirmed that Umbrella Corps will be released in May 2016 digitally for PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PC. Various new game details about the third person shooter have also been revealed, providing an expanded look at the options that await trigger-happy fans. To download the brand new gameplay video and screens visit the press site now.
The multiplayer shooter will support 1-6 players and, though the majority of modes will be geared towards competitive team battles, a single player mode called "The Experiment" challenges players to hone their skills as they familiarize themselves with the world of Umbrella Corps in more than 20 missions with varying objectives. This coliseum style horde like mode strips players of the zombie jammer device that provides perilous protection in multiplayer modes, putting them in a head-on confrontation with progressively harder waves of creatures, across multiple missions.
Umbrella Corps will feature adrenaline-fueled matches in familiar locales from various Resident Evil games. In addition to the previously announced Umbrella Laboratory map, players will be able to experience areas inspired by Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. The famed Village from RE4 has been retooled for heated multiplayer matches that escalate to the rooftops, while the Tricell organization from RE5 has a newly imagined HQ to explore. Players must not only face off against the rival mercenary team, but also the stage-specific threats such as the crazed Ganados (RE4) and blood-thirsty Cerberus dogs (RE5). More information on additional maps and modes are still to come.

PS4《生化危机:保护伞公司『BIOHAZARD UMBRELLA CORPS』》新“Kijuju”地图公开!!Umbrella Corps unveils Resident Evil 5-themed Kijuju map
New Umbrella Corps Kijuju Map Revealed!
We recently shared a ton of new information about Umbrella Corps but we still have more to details to share before the game comes out in May. The game is a third person shooter with quick matches that are set in maps that are themed from the Resident Evil world. So far, we’ve confirmed maps such as Umbrella Lab, Village and Tricell HQ but some of you eagle-eyed fans may have noticed some hints at other areas in previous trailers for the game. For those of you that spotted the Kijuju map from Resident Evil 5, you were correct! Hit the jump for more info and screenshots on the Kijuju map.
The autonomous zone of Kijuju was the setting for Resident Evil 5, featuring a settlement that had been virtually wiped out by the Plaga bioterror infection. In Umbrella Corps, Kijuju will be a new battle zone that is also the biggest map in the game, with plenty of open areas and webbed underground passages to keep things interesting. As always, not only must you battle the other team, but each map includes other enemy threats that won’t make for an easy win. In this case, you’ll have to watch out for the infected Kijuju inhabitants called the Majini who are just as fierce and dangerous as you remember from Resident Evil 5!

Umbrella Corps Introduces "Multi Mission" Mode
Today Capcom released brand new gameplay details and assets for the upcoming Umbrella Corps. Joining the previously announced “One Life Match” mode, the newly revealed “Multi-Mission” mode supports up to 6 players in a match where the first team to win 3 out of the 5 rounds will be the victor. As with “One Life Match” mode, the action is fast and intense with a 3 minute time limit for each round.
“Multi-Mission” mode, as the name implies, consists of rounds that cycle through 8 different rulesets at random. This allows the same team members to consecutively enjoy different gameplay experiences in a seamless way, and provides an expedited matching process for quickly getting into the game. With the random ruleset selection, all teams must stay on their toes to adapt their tactics each round in order to come out on top. An overview on each ruleset can be found below:
• Target Hunter – One target will be chosen per team and only killing that target will count towards the score. You can choose whether to focus on protecting your own target or aggressively attacking the enemy target.
• Respawn Match – Team deathmatch featuring respawns. Take advantage of the on-screen sound radar map to locate the enemies’ random respawn points.
• Domination – Secure the specified data transmission point located within the stage for a longer time than the enemy team in order to win.
• DNA Hunter – Kill zombies and collect their DNA samples. Destroying the opposing team’s Zombie Jammers is a key strategy in this mode.
• SP DNA Hunter – Kill the special mutated zombies and collect their DNA samples. They are particularly tough and immune to the effects of the Zombie Jammer. It'll take teamwork to bring these creatures down.
• Collector – Teams battle it out to see who will be first to collect all 5 briefcases in the stage.
• Protector – Find the briefcase and hold it for as long as possible, while fending off the opposition. The player who has it will become a moving target, so teams must work together effectively.
• Collar War – Collect the battle data "collars" of downed enemy players, and pick up allies' collars to prevent the enemy team from getting points.
