The Xbox E3 2015 Media Briefing closed with a bang today, as The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson played Gears of War 4 live, announcing that it’s coming exclusively to Xbox One in holiday 2016. If you missed the moment live, re-live it above.

Returning modes include Warzone, Assassination, Execution and Annex. The game also features 17 unlockable Gears of War 3 characters in multiplayer.

Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle and Behind-the-Scenes Video Unveiled

Today, during a jam-packed panel event at San Diego Comic-Con hosted by acclaimed voice actor John DiMaggio, the voice of beloved Delta squad leader Marcus Fenix, Xbox and The Coalition shared insights on the development of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, the stunningly remastered and modernized version of the shooter that defined the first generation of HD gaming. The team also debuted a behind-the-scenes look at how they recreated some of the most iconic cinematics in the game.

In addition, speakers at the panel revealed the Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle, available for pre-order today and launching in the U.S. starting Aug. 25 while supplies last. Attention Gears fans, The Coalition is proud to announce that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has officially gone gold! And to celebrate, the studio has shared a behind-the-scenes look the development of the game, digital pre-order and pre-download details, as well as the fully recreated opening cinematic to help fans get ready for the game’s release on Aug. 25.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is now available for pre-order and pre-download. Fans who can’t wait to jump into the action on Aug. 25 can visit the Xbox Store to pre-order and pre-download the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, so that it’s ready to go when the game releases. Those who pre-order will also receive exclusive bonus skins and characters including:

Today, on the eve of gamescom, Xbox and The Coalition are excited to announce that all fans who purchase Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, or the Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle, will be able to unlock the entire Gears collection via Xbox One Backward Compatibility. By playing Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox Live from Aug. 25 through Dec. 31, 2015, you’ll get access to Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment in Backward Compatibility when it launches this fall. In Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, you’ll get the complete remastering of the original game – painstakingly reimagined from the ground up with stunning next-gen graphics, recaptured and rebuilt cinematics, and modernized gameplay for an even better experience.
