Activision and Hasbro Reveal Transformers: rise of the Dark Spark for Next Gen and Current Gen Consoles

Activision and Hasbro today announced Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, a video game complement to Paramount Pictures’ upcoming film, Transformers: Age of Extinction, set to release this June. This third-person action adventure video game goes beyond the movie by uniting the universe of director Michael Bay’s Transformers movies with the ever-popular Cybertron universe. Players will choose from over 40 playable characters from the two different universes as they battle to secure the Dark Spark. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be releasing on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Sony’s PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Nintendo’s Wii U system and the Nintendo 3DS™ handheld system and Windows PC.

“Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is an arc between the Cybertron and Earth based worlds of this popular franchise,” remarked Mark Blecher, SVP Digital Gaming & Corporate Development at Hasbro, Inc. “This year marks 30 incredible years of Transformers. This game tells another chapter in the Transformers story that all fans will love.”

Serving as a follow-up to both the upcoming Transformers live-action film and Activision’s Transformers: War of Cybretron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron titles, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark jumps worlds and factions as it weaves the tale of the hunt for an ancient relic as powerful as the Matrix of Leadership – the Dark Spark. Players will be able to switch between the heroes of the noble Autobots and the nefarious Decepticons throughout the single-player campaign. Similar to High Moon Studios’ Cybertron entries in the highly regarded series, gameplay features nimble, fast-paced running-and-gunning combat paired with traversal and vehicle action across open battlefields for large-scale, dynamic conflicts.

Players will also see the return of the fan-favorite multiplayer mode, Escalation, which delivers wave-based, survival-style gameplay for up to four players online cooperatively. It features new, upgradeable defense systems, recognizable adversaries from the lore, and an expanded roster of playable characters from past and present. Additionally, an exciting new leveling system transforms single-player and multiplayer into one unified, persistent character development path. Experience earned in any part of the game unlocks potent awards and tactical loadout choices – including new characters, stronger weapons, special abilities and consumable bonuses – for use throughout the entire game.

其详情如下：

　　1、《变形金刚：暗焰崛起》将登陆PS3、PS4、Xbox360、Xbox One、Wii U、PC平台，并于2014年6月预定发售。

　　2、迈克尔·贝监督的电影版的宇宙和《变形金刚：赛博坦之战》的宇宙，两个设定就在《暗焰崛起》中得到继承与连接。

　　3、重要的宝物“暗焰”，可以作为2个世界的传送门而使用，这个宝物的获得者，将可以对宇宙的构造产生很大的变化。

　　4、游戏内电影版的宇宙是电影《变形金刚4：绝迹重生》终结后的世界。

　　5、另外，《变形金刚：赛博坦之战》的宇宙，将是《变形金刚：塞伯坦陨落》物语开始以前的时代。
　　
　　6、游戏故事围绕一位主人公为轴线展开，玩家可选角色将有40人以上得到准备。

　　7、包含角色和武器、新道具，升级内容等都可解锁的平衡调整系统，使得不仅仅每个角色可以逐渐成长，整个游戏系统都会发生统合型的改变。

　　8、前一部中的Escalation模式，这次还会在本作中得到继承。FoC版威震天等强力的BOSS角色登场的“Power Foes”系统也会得到追加。

　　9、GI杂志上被掲载的未公开截图中，与《变形金刚4：绝迹重生》设计的グリムロック，G1设计的サウンドウェーブ，FoC设计的インセクティコン，FoC相似的设计的スウィンドル的图片得到了确认。

Hasbro and Activision Iginite the Galaxy With Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, Out Now

Hasbro and Activision bring together two universes for the first time ever in a Transformers franchise video game with the release of Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, a third-person action adventure game.

”Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark engages the fans with digital game play that brings all stories together,” explained Mark Blecher, SVP Digital Gaming & Corporate Development at Hasbro. “Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark links the unique universes of the live-action Transformers films from director Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures – including the upcoming Trnasformers: age of Extinction, arriving in theaters on June 27 – and Activision’s prior Cybertron video games.”

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark continues the saga of the valiant Autobots and villainous Dedecpticons, sentient robotic life forms who bring their cataclysmic war across the galaxy to planet Earth. The battle for the Dark Spark – an ancient, destructive relic, equal in power to the Matrix of Leadership – spans the Transformers ruined home world of Cybertron in the past, as well as their new sanctuary on Earth. Over 40 playable Autobots and Decepticons from both sides fuel this perilous conflict, inspired by many of the amazing action sequences directed by Michael Bay, across the game’s engrossing single player campaign and its wave-based, cooperative multiplayer mode, Escalation.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark’s Escalation mode incorporates a handful of new additions, including empowering offensive and defensive utilities like turrets, decoys and barricades, while the inclusion of special mini-boss Power Foes from Transformers lore makes each battle even more personal. Player progression has also evolved, offering character leveling and unlockable loadout choices that carry through both single player and multiplayer, no matter which mode players use. And newly introduced HACKs allow players to alter the core game experience, modifying factors like enemy health and behavior to their liking for greater challenge and reward.
