News from United Front Games!

Hi everyone! We’ve been a bit tight-lipped about our current projects over here at UFG, but we’re finally able to give you a little something.

So, we’re making a new game! We can’t say a lot about it right now, but you might have read about a trademark registration for something called Triad Wars? Well, we’re super-excited that it’s another game based in the Sleeping Dogs universe, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for ages, and we’re very happy to be working with Square Enix again… but that’s all we can give you for the time being – we’ll have more information about what the game’s going to be in 2014.

As always, we love to hear your thoughts and appreciate your shared interest in the games we make – although to reiterate, we really can’t share any more details until 2014 (despite your best efforts to get them, you sneaky people!)

开发商透露新作《三合会战争》

　　由United Front Games开发，SE代理发行的《沉睡的猎犬(Sleeping Dogs)》是以香港为背景的开放世界游戏，题材的选择让很多喜欢看香港电影的玩家爱上这款游戏。日前开发商对那些热切期盼续作的玩家一个回应，他们的下一款作品已经确定，名为《三合会战争(Triad Wars)》。

　　最早这个名字是从SE公司注册的新商标中被发现的，不过United Front Games也在官方的博客上解释道，该作是一款基于《沉睡的猎犬》世界观而开发的游戏。“我们正在制作新游戏，不过我们现在还不能透露太多有关游戏的内容。你们在注册商标上看到一个名叫《三合会战争》的游戏?不错，我非常期待它，它正式另一款基于《沉睡的猎犬》而制作的游戏。这正式我们想做的游戏，而我们也很高兴可以再次和SE公司合作，不过现在我还不能给玩家们太多消息透露，更多的内容要等到2014年才会公布。”

　　官方除了没有公布该作的内容之外，也没有透露其具体平台，既然是2014年正式公布，那么该作也是有可能登陆次世代平台的。

Triad Wars - Welcome to the Triad

Set in the vibrant city of Hong Kong, Triad Wars is an online open-world action-adventure game where your goal is to rise to power as a criminal kingpin of the Triad underworld. As an Enforcer and mastermind of your criminal enterprise, it’s up to you to construct an empire the likes of which your enemies would never dare to mess with.

On the mean streets of Hong Kong, however, brawn alone won’t be enough – you’re going to need money first, and for that you’ll need brains.

First you’ll need to establish your Turf and set up a range of lucrative, albeit questionable operations to build and expand your reach into the underworld – stacking dirty money to the sky, arming you to battle against rival gangs and claiming the streets before they do.

That being said, money alone isn’t going to win you any fights, or any face for that matter. To survive, you’ll need to hone your driving skills, get comfortable with a gun, and also be generally proficient at punching guys in the face. In Hong Kong, the action never stops and your rivals aren’t going down until you put them there.

Whether you choose to excel in extortion, hacking, money laundering, stolen cars, or even just good ol’ fashioned violence is strictly situational and will be representational of your playstyle. It’s your city to claim, and how you do it is entirely up to you.

Triad Wars 'Own the Underworld' Trailer

   

Own The Underworld in New Trailer for Triad Wars

United Front Games today released a new trailer – “Own The Underworld” – for Triad Wars, showcasing the open-world, online action/adventure found within the game’s brutal Hong Kong underworld.

Currently in Closed Beta for Windows PC, Triad Wars brings fans back to the vibrant city of Hong Kong and Sleeping Dogs universe, with the goal of rising up from the streets to become the most powerful criminal kingpin of the Triad underworld.
