The Good Life Kickstarter campaign fully funded, Switch version stretch goal announced



The Kickstarter campaign for The Good Life, the “debt repayment daily life RPG” from the creator of Deadly Premonition and D4, has reached its funding goal of $620,000 two days ahead of its closure date.

The successful campaign means that The Good Life will be released for PlayStation 4 and PC with an estimated launch window of November 2019.

With the campaign fully funded, co-developer White Owls has announced an $800,000 stretch goal to develop a Switch version. If the campaign reaches the goal before it closes, a Switch version will be developed. However, if the stretch goal is not achieved, any additional funding will go towards things such as adding more music, town seasonal events, part-time jobs and revenue-generating activities, outfits, and so on. The studio did clarify that if it misses the stretch goal, it “will work very hard to find an alternative way to get the Nintendo Switch version to happen, but we are not making it a promise.”
