Episode Four of Telltale's 'Batman: The Enemy Within' Premieres January 23 Across All Platforms

Today we are excited to share the official release date for the fourth episode of Batman: The Enemy Within, the ongoing five-part episodic game series that continues Telltale's unique take on the World's Greatest Detective. Episode four, 'What Ails You,' launches Tuesday, January 23 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and mobile.

When the Pact puts its plan into motion, Bruce's cover is finally blown, and as his web of lies unravels, new questions emerge: When and how will the Pact regroup? What's truly motivating Amanda Waller and the Agency? And perhaps most importantly, how will John Doe handle the truth about his buddy Bruce? With another showdown brewing, the clown prince of crime may finally earn his crown...

Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale's vision of Batman features an award-winning cast of talent including Troy Baker, who returns to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, as well as Anthony Ingruber, who reprises his fresh take on 'John Doe,' better known to fans as The Joker.







This new season is intended to be accessible to both returning fans and newcomers alike, though players' choices from the first season of Batman: The Telltale Series will optionally carry over into The Enemy Within. This season also includes Telltale's unique multiplayer 'Crowd Play' feature, which allows friends and family to engage with the adventure together by helping to decide the direction of the story from any mobile device with an internet connection.

A special 'Season Pass Disc' for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is currently available at retailers across North America and Europe. The disc includes the first episode of the season, as well as download access to all subsequent episodes as they are released.

Batman: The Enemy Within is a standalone product separate from the first season of Batman - The Telltale Series.

The Season Finale of Telltale's 'Batman: The Enemy Within' Premieres March 27 Across All Platforms

Today we are thrilled to share the official release date for the fifth and final episode of Batman: The Enemy Within, the ongoing five-part episodic game series that continues Telltale's unique take on the World's Greatest Detective. Episode five, 'Same Stitch,' launches Tuesday, March 27 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and mobile.

“What would you choose: a friend whose unhinged approach to justice turns your allies against you, or a sworn enemy who will stop at nothing to see you suffer as your city burns? Based on the relationship you’ve built with John Doe, you'll see one of two very different stories play out. So what’ll it be, Bruce: friend...or foe?”







As the description indicates, the choices players have made over the course of the season will determine which story – and which version of The Joker – they’ll see in the finale. Same Stitch features two totally separate takes on the fully evolved John Doe: one a ruthless villain that hews closer to the classic Clown Prince of Crime and the other an unpredictable vigilante that’s unlike any other portrayal of DC’s iconic character.

In total, Same Stitch contains three and a half hours of content spread across two completely distinct storylines that share, at most, only three overlapping scenes. Each of those storylines includes further conditional variations that reflect players’ earlier choices and make Same Stitch, mathematically, Telltale’s “branchiest” episode ever. With over 4,500 lines of dialogue divided among 38 characters, the overall script for the episode is larger than Christopher Nolan’s entire Dark Knight trilogy.







“Without exaggeration, Same Stitch is the most ambitious piece of content Telltale has ever produced,” says Season Lead Writer James Windeler. “We had to adjust our usual development process to accommodate the added scope, but it was super important to us to honor players’ choices, whether they chose to befriend John or not. We had to deliver on the season’s central promise of allowing players to craft their own Joker.”

Building on last week’s full season trailer, today we’re excited to share two new trailers dedicated specifically to the fifth and final episode of Batman: The Enemy Within, the episodic game series that continues Telltale’s unique take on the World's Greatest Detective.

Episode five contains two separate storylines and two possible versions of The Joker, so each of these trailers focuses on a different potential experience. The choices players have made over the course of the season will determine which story – and which version of The Joker – they ultimately see in the finale.
