Four-player fighting game Weekly Shonen Jump Jikkyou Janjan Stadium announced for smartphones
The latest issue of Weekly Jump reveals Weekly Shonen Jump Jikkyou Janjan Stadium, a four-player Shonen Jump all-stars fighting game from Konami for smartphones. It will launch in 2018 in Japan.
Over 39 works will appear in the game, with more planned to be added in succession. It is described as a battle royale with four-player online battles in the style of Super Smash Bros.
Characters from One Piece and Dragon Ball will naturally appear, but so will City Hunter (Ryo Saeba), The Burning Wild Man, Cobra, Cat’s Eye, Magical Taluluto, Bastard!!, Sannen Kimengumi (Rei Ichido), Wing-Man, Kinnikuman, and more.
Konami has released the first trailer, information, and screenshots of , its newly announced online fighting game featuring characters from Shonen Jump due out for iOS and Android in Japan in 2018. Pre-registration is available now via the game’s official website.
■ Jump Heroes Appear as Cute “Janjan Characters”
The popular characters of Weekly Shonen Jump appear recreated in the form of cute-looking “Janjan Characters” by Konami. In addition to lovely visuals, each character’s special techniques will reappear how they do in their original works.
*Characters from 39 works will appear in the game at launch, but more are planned to be added sequentially following release.
■ Simultaneous Four-Player Battle Royales
Use strong special techniques (SP moves) with simple one-button controls. Blow away the enemy to the outside of the stadium with controls that even beginners can enjoy with ease. While single-player is of course an option, a maximum of four users can play together, so link up with your friends for a heated battle royale.
The game will also have a “Live Broadcasting System,” among other features, that enhances the match’s sense of realism. More information about the game will be released in Weekly Shonen Jump and V-Jump, as well as on the game’s official website.
ForwardWorks will share more information on its December 2016-announced Arc the Lad smartphone title developed by AltPlus on July 30, the company announced.

Sega has announced Idola Phantasy Star Saga, a new RPG in its 30 year-old Phantasy Star series for iOS and Android devices. Service will launch in 2018 in Japan. Pre-registration is available now via the game’s official website.

■ Introduction
The latest entry in the Phantasy Star series that has been played by 10 million people.
The story is set in the war-ravaged land of Vandoll. In this world ruled by swords and magic, the people spend each day fighting the mysterious, huge monsters known as “Idola” that wander about and threaten their livelihood.
Meanwhile, a god of destruction sealed long ago known as “Dark Farce” has begun the stages of its resurrection.
Will you be able to stop Dark Farce’s resurrection? And what is the true nature of the Idola that descended from Dark Farce?
■ Command-Based Battles
Idola Phantasy Star Saga uses an entirely new command-based battle system. Further information will be announced at a later date.

Stella (voiced by Akane Fujita)
The head of the Aries Knights armed brigade that fight the Idola, as well as the heroine. She has a shy personality, but usually hides her true feelings behind an iron mask. When wearing the iron mask, she acts boldly and confidently, but when the mask comes off, her shy behavior comes out.
Yuri (voiced by Toshiki Masuda)
The protagonist. He lost both of his parents at a young age and was taken in by a ship captain that was an old friend of his father, and was raised as a sailor. After his fated encounter with Stella, he joins the Aries Knights as the leader of their commando unit. He has a big heart and broad-minded personality, and is cheerful and frank with anyone he meets.

If pre-registrations reach 100,000 users, all players will be rewarded a five-star Quna from Phantasy Star Online 2.
