Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles for Switch Launches May 17
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles Comes to Nintendo Switch May 17
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, the open-world adventure from the former Activision producer and Rocksteady veterans at Prideful Sloth where players explore the vibrant but troubled island of Gemea, will offer a relaxing experience on Nintendo Switch May 17. A Switch-exclusive photo mode will help you capture precious moments and share them with your friends.
Shipwrecked due to an unexpected storm, your young hero or heroine soon learns that they’re on the gorgeous island of Gemea. While taking refuge in a cave, a magical sprite explains that the land’s natural beauty is tainted by a strange, dark substance called Murk. With the sprite by your side, it’s up to you to both cleanse the land and assist the townsfolk and gain their trust. Farm, craft, cook, brew, and fish to restore the land to its former glory!
Wander through grand forests, resplendent peaks, and breezy shores to befriend Gemea’s lively villagers and adorable animals. Eight biomes with breathtaking day, night, and weather cycles abound with sprites that will help expel the murk, offer quests to help you earn your place on the island, and an abundance of other secrets to discover at your leisure.
The delightful wonders of Yonder are like a warm hug, and the Nintendo Switch system lets you take that hug wherever you want. Kick off those shoes at the end of a long day and relax while you continue your journey of self-discovery.
“Yonder can be your home away from home on Nintendo Switch,” said Cheryl Vance, co-founder and director at Prideful Sloth. “We hope to see players embrace the calming feel of the game, no matter where they are.”
Yonder will be available digitally for $29.99 USD on the Nintendo eShop, and will be available via physical retail for $39.99 on June 12 in the United States and June 15 in Europe and Australia.
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles will be playable in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Nicalis Announces Crossover Puzzle Fighting Game Crystal Crisis for Switch
Crystal Crisis Drops on Nintendo Switch This Fall!
Do you like puzzles? Do you like fighting? Well, have we got a puzzle-based fighting game for you! An all-star cast of heroes has gathered to test their mettle in Crystal Crisis, a cute and chaotic new color-matching combat game for Nintendo Switch.
Crystal Crisis is presented like a one-on-one fighting game, but instead of pressing buttons to kick and punch, you arrange falling gems into matching colors to clear them from the screen and inflict damage on your opponents. It’s the ultimate puzzle battle throwdown!
The game has 19 different playable characters, including your favorites from Cave Story+ and The Binding of Isaac and many other surprise entrants. Each character has his or her own “home” stage, musical theme, unique special attacks and extensive voice-acted exclamations. Here are the ones you might recognize:
• Quote, Curly Brace and Ballos (from Cave Story+)
• Isaac (from The Binding of Isaac)
• Atom and Black Jack (from Tezuka Productions)
• Princess Solange (from Code of Princess EX and Blade Strangers)
• Aban, Tina and Jim Hawkins (from 1001 Spikes)
• President Thompson and a Zombie (from The Tempura of the Dead)
• Akuji (from Akuji the Demon)
• Knight (from Hydra Castle Labyrinth)
• Johnny Turbo (yes, the notorious TurboDuo spokesman)
Joining them will be four newly-created characters from some of our top-secret games in development. Three of these fighters will be appearing in Crystal Crisis for the first time anywhere:
• Helen - A noble warrior inspired by Greek mythology (she’s also in Blade Strangers)
• Hunter - A whip-wielding vampire killer
• Elise - A bat-winged gothic vampire girl
• Ninja - A mysterious and acrobatic shinobi
Crystal Crisis has a “burst gauge” that gets filled up when you match gems and unleash combos, and when you have enough burst you can unleash powerful special moves. Some are board-breaking attacks that leave your opponents in pieces, others are defensive moves that can repair or rearrange your own gem board. There’s also an innovative new “wrap-around” feature that lets you move a falling piece beyond the edge of the playfield to reappear on the other side. You can even divide it into two separate gems by allowing it to drop while the two halves are straddling the border!
A variety of different modes (including Arcade, Survival, Tag-Team and Training) accentuate the battle options, and of course there are local and online multiplayer modes that make it easy for you to play against friends, family members and Crystal Crisis warriors worldwide!
Crystal Crisis for Nintendo Switch will be available digitally and physically in Fall 2018 for $39.99. Like all of our previous retail games for Nintendo Switch, the launch edition of the physical version will include a full-color instruction booklet and a yet-to-be-announced bonus collectible (or two). Don’t miss it!

Leaks suggest Nintendo's Retro Studios making Star Fox racing spin-off
A round of internet leaks has suggested Nintendo's Retro Studios - developer of the Metroid Prime trilogy - is working on a Star Fox racing spin-off.
The leaks appeared online over the weekend on reddit and 4chan, and were then reported this morning on multiple gaming sites and blogs.
So, what do we believe? Well, as improbable as Retro making a Star Fox racing spin-off may sound, Eurogamer sources have heard similar.
Details posted to reddit by user DasVergeben, who has a patchy record, touted Retro's Star Fox project as a racing game "like Diddy Kong Racing mixed with F-Zero".
"It will have an adventure mode of some kind (think Diddy Kong Racing) and there will be some boss fights and a hub world like it too.
"It is called Star Fox Grand Prix."
While I hadn't heard the name - and don't know if that is accurate or final - other details line up with what I have heard. The Star Fox series is traditionally a space (and sometimes land) based vehicle shooter, although it has dabbled in various other genres before.
Shortly after the reddit post went live, a logo for Star Fox Grand Prix separately appeared on 4chan, that home of reliable video game leaks. Again, I've not heard that name specifically, but the rest of the details line up.
