Koei Tecmo Announces Upcoming Release of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book

Koei Tecmo proudly announced today the upcoming launch of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book on the PlayStation 4, and digitally for the PlayStation Vita on 10th June 2016 (June 7 in North America). This is the debut of the long-running Atelier series on the PlayStation 4 and it marks a new beginning for GUST’s popular RPG brand.

Set against a vibrant background reminiscent of a medieval European town the Atelier series’ 17th instalment follows the exploits of a young novice Alchemist who discovers she is the owner of an enigmatic volume imbued with a soul. This Mysterious Book seems to hold all the secrets to the art of Alchemy knowledge and it goes on to become Sophie’s mentor. As Sophie improves her Alchemy skills throughout the story she unravels forgotten memories, and eventually sets out to uncover the strange tale of the book’s origin.

The development team at GUST consider this title ‘the new standard for the Atelier series’ as they have poured all their creativity into rebuilding the series’ signature Alchemy system from the ground up and into crafting a visually stunning world full of well-rounded characters and beautiful illustrations. In a series first, there are two key illustrators involved in the making of Atelier Sophie, NOCO and Yuugen. Their distinctive work brings the in-game world to life and creates a dynamic environment where time, weather, and relationships play a key role in the adventures of the young new Alchemist and her trusted allies.

To commemorate the announcement of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, Koei Tecmo released a first batch of assets illustrating the game’s key characters and background art. A teaser trailer going through the series’ history and introducing the key features of this exciting and mysterious new chapter of the Atelier brand has also been released and can be accessed here.



Finally, Koei Tecmo Europe is pleased to announce the release of a limited edition box, available exclusively through the NIS America Europe Online Store! This collector-must-have box will include:

• PS4 version of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book
• 2 Disc Original Soundtrack featuring 38 tracks of original music from the game
• 48-page hardcover art book, including illustrations and sketches of the characters, creatures, and background art of the game.

• 40" x 26.8" cloth poster

Atelier Sophie and Nights of Azure Coming to PC via Steam on February 7

　　KOEI TECMO AMERICA 宣布《苏菲的炼金工房 ～不可思议书的炼金术士～》和《无夜国度》将于 2017 年 2 月 7 日登陆 Steam 平台。

　　《苏菲的炼金工房 ～不可思议书的炼金术士～》是《炼金术士》系列角色扮演游戏，由开发商 GUST 制作。 本作目的在于，苏菲藉由发挥强大的炼金术力量，帮助失去大半记忆的普拉芙妲。

　　而《无夜国度》同样是由 GUST 开发的作品，是一款融合美少女 × 从魔 × RPG 要素的游戏。 本作以和「从魔」之称的使魔签订契约并和妖魔战斗的圣骑士「雅娜丝」，与以自身性命作为封印「夜之君」的代价的圣女「露莉媞丝」为两女主角，是一部描写这两名少女的故事的作品。

Koei Tecmo America Reveals First Gust Studios Titles to be Released on Steam

Koei Tecmo America is pleased to announce that longtime developer Gust Studios will introduce their deep and colorful RPGs to PC audiences for the first time with the release of two popular titles: Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book and Nights of Azure. Set to release for Steam on February 7, 2017, PC gamers will finally get a chance to experience the bright and mysterious world of the Atelier series and face dangerous demons and ancient threats in the dramatic story of Nights of Azure.

Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book follows the exploits of young novice Alchemist Sophie Neuenmuller, who discovers she is the owner of an enigmatic book imbued with a soul. This Mysterious Book seems to hold all the secrets to the art of Alchemy, even going on to become Sophie’s mentor. As Sophie experiments with Alchemy throughout the story she unravels the book’s forgotten memories and eventually sets out to uncover the strange tale of its origin. Uncover the mysteries of Alchemy that have been hidden away and forgotten alongside Plachta, the Mysterious Book, and experiment with the Synthesis system to learn new alchemy recipes at any pace! Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book was originally released for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system.

Marking a new action-oriented and dark direction for Gust titles, Nights of Azure tells a tragic tale of two friends faced with impossible decisions that will test their loyalty to their quest – and to each other. In the kingdom of Ruswal, very few people leave their homes after nightfall, let alone have the strength and skill to take on the powerful, azure-blooded demons that plague the island. One of the best among these brave few is Arnice, a knight of great skill and power, who is assisted by her friend and priestess Lilysse in a quest to rid the land of these monsters. However, they soon find out that the solution to the island’s problems might not be as simple as defeating enemies in battle. Nights of Azure was previously exclusive to the PS4 system.

A selection of assets was released today showcasing both titles running on Windows PC for the first time.

　　台湾光荣特库摩公布《炼金术士》系列《苏菲的炼金工房～不可思议书的炼金术士～》日文版的下载内容，现于 PlayStation Store 开始提供，本次提供内容当中，会有 3 种成为普拉芙妲新的躯体之人偶炼成用服装登场。 而制作团队正在进行对应繁体中文版下载内容的移植作业。
