Gematsu has discovered tov10th.tales-ch.jp—a password-protected website presumably for the Tales of Vesperia remaster Gematsu has heard is in production in celebration of the RPG’s 10th anniversary.
Gematsu heard from multiple sources that Bandai Namco will announce the Tales of Vesperia remaster at E3 2018, which runs from June 12 to 14 in Los Angeles.
Tales of Vesperia first launched for Xbox 360 in August 2008, and for PlayStation 3 in Japan in September 2009. The PlayStation 3 version added full voice acting, new character and party member Patty Fleur, Flynn Schifo as a full party member, new dungeons, bosses, and Gigant monsters, and various other elements.

Bandai Namco announced Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC during Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference. It will launch this winter.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition includes upscaled screen resolution, new characters, events, and additional content never released outside of Japan. This updated version of the RPG classic will be released this winter.
Follow Yuri Lowell, a resident in the Lower Quarter of Zaphias and former Imperial Knight, as he accepts a mission to retrieve a stolen Blastia Core used to regulate his neighborhood’s water supply. This simple mission spins into a series of events that finds Yuri befriending a colorful cast of characters, traveling to exotic locations, and being pushed into the middle of a nefarious plot that threatens the destruction of the entire planet.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition features two new fully playable party members for North America; Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories, as well as Yuri’s rival and best friend, Flynn Scifo. Along with these two new playable characters,Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will include additional scenarios, locations, and costumes that will be all-new for Western players.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition uses a specialized version of the Tales of series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while the other three party members are controlled by a customized set of A.I. commands. Players can swap between the four characters at any time during battles and can perform both physical and Mystic Artes attacks.

A new brand new RPG entry in the Tales of series is in development for console, Bandai Namco announced at Tales of Festival 2018.
The game, which is not a remake or a spin-off, will be the first brand new entry in the series since Tales of Berseria in August 2016.
Further details about the new title were not announced, but Bandai Namco did announce plans to hold a Tales of Vesperia 10th Anniversary Party at the Maihama Amphitheater on September 16 featuring the cast of the game.
Bandai Namco debuted a new trailer for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition to attendees at Anime Expo 2018 last weekend, and has today released that trailer online.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition uses a specialized iteration of the ‘TALES OF’ series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while other party members are controlled by a customized set of A.I. commands. Players can swap between any of the four characters at any time during battles and can perform physical attacks, Magic Artes or even powerful Mystic Artes.
Following its January 11, 2019 western release date announcement earlier today, Bandai Namco has announced that Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will launch in Japan on the same date. The physical edition will only be available for PlayStation 4 and Switch, while the Xbox One and PC versions will be digital-only.
In addition to the 5,700 yen standard edition, an 11,000 yen first-print “10th Anniversary Edition” will also be available. It will include:
• A special box with artwork by Kousuke Fujishima
• 10th Anniversary Edition reversible box art
• Hardcover Memorial Art Book full of 10th anniversary content, including character illustrations and more
• Anniversary double acrylic plate featuring the characters of Brave Vesperia
• Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike Blu-ray disc with bonus original new video content
• New video bonus #1: “Special Dramatic Skit: Reunion” – The party reunites after the events of the game. Hear the thoughts of fellow characters that you wouldn’t hear otherwise.

Early purchases of both the standard and limited editions (for the digital version, the purchase must be made before February 7, 2019) will include a serial code for the “Special Dramatic Skit ~Celebration! 10th Anniversary~,” in which Yuri and the others talk among each other about the 10th anniversary of Tales of Vesperia.
