Story Mode

A new mode continuing further than the story of the arcade version. The story will be told through an adventure game-like format, but will try new things to set it apart from the norm.

October 21, 2187. 12:12 p.m.

A young woman who calls herself Ramlethal Valentine has declared war against the world. Not a single individual, organization, or countries took this declaration as a laughing matter. Because of the prior “Baptism 13 Incident,” during which the capital of the Illyria Kingdom suffered a violent assault, the attacker also referred to herself as “Valentine.” Now, to make sure of the truth of the matter, the world must take action.

Network Mode

With the home console release, you can play online against players across the country. Cross-platform play will allow PlayStation 4 owners and PlayStation 3 owners the ability to play together. Additionally, both versions of the game can share save data and trophies.

Tutorial and Challenge Modes

In the home console release, Arc System Works has not only re-adjusted game modes that appeared in the arcade version, but added new Tutorial and Challenge modes, too.

Tutorial Mode will let newcomers hone their skills and learn how to play. Challenge Mode will let players put to the test the practical operation of their characters.

M.O.M. Mode

M.O.M. Mode, or Medal of Millionaire Mode, is a single-player mode where players fight against AI-controlled characters to earn medals that strengthen your character. Using the medals you obtain, it’s possible to purchase new skills and items in this RPG-like character development mode.

There are plans to support network play in this mode.

New Character(s)

A new character(s) is being added to the home console release. As for which new character(s) is participating, however, you’ll have to wait for a future update.

All existing characters will return, including Ramlethal Valentine, who was added to the arcade version of the game post-launch.

Resolution

On PlayStation 4, the game is rendered in full-high definition 1080p.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 Dated for August

   

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 Has a Release Date in America and Europe

Idea Factory International is thrilled to announce today that Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, a new installment in the long-loved fan-favorite RPG series Hyperdimension Neptunia, will be released on the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system in physical and digital forms in the North American market on August 26, 2014. It will also be available in digital form in the European market on August 27, 2014. Idea Factory International is also excited to reveal to fans in Australia that the game will be digitally released on the Australian PlayStation Store!

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 is a remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia, which was previously released for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system in 2011. Updated event conversations, graphics, and newly added game mechanics will entertain fans who have already played the PlayStation 3 version of Hyperdimension Neptunia as well as newcomers to the series.

Story

Gamindustri: One of many parallel universes protected by four goddesses known as CPUs. Long ago, these four CPUs engaged in a war for supremacy known as the War of the Guardians. However, this war weakened their protective hold on the world inhabited by their people, and in turn it was flooded by monsters under the influence of an individual known as Arfoire.

During the War of the Guardians, one of the CPUs—Neptune—was defeated by the others and hurled down to the world's surface from the heavens. The fall caused Neptune to lose her memories, as learned by Compa and IF, who happen upon the fallen girl. A mysterious book containing knowledge of all Gamindustri's history suddenly speaks out to Neptune, Compa, and IF. With the assistance of this sentient book, the trio embark on an extraordinary journey across four different nations on a quest to save the entire world!

Key Features and Differences from the PlayStation 3 version

• An overhauled battle system! Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 takes the original game and equips it with the battle system of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory! This gives the player a more in-depth gaming experience!

• New scenario, new ending! The main story and event scenes are renewed from the PlayStation3 version. The core storyline will remain mostly the same, but the conversations between characters are all new! A new ending has been added as well! This will allow players returning from the PlayStation3 version to enjoy the game anew!

• New “Remake System”! A new system has been added to Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1: the “Remake System”! It lets players customize and make changes to the game itself by obtaining “Plans”! Receive Blank Discs to craft your own Game Discs! You can create unique equippable items by burning Idea Chips (abilities) onto Blank Discs! Depending on the Idea Chips used, a Godly Game may result, which will grant you an additional ability!

• DLC brings more playable characters and more! Additional characters will be playable through DLC; players can increase the level cap to 999; and additional monsters, quests, and dungeons will be available!

Fairy Fencer F Out This September!

NIS America is happy to announce that Fairy Fencer F will be available for digital and physical release for the PlayStation 3 in North America on September 23 and in Europe on September 26! Developed by Compile Heart, Fairy Fencer F is a turn-based RPG that features character art by Tsunako (Hyperdimension Neptunia series), as well as concept art by Yoshitaka Amano and music by Nobuo Uematsu who are both renowned for their work on the classic Final Fantasy series.

About the game

Long ago, a dreadful war was fought between the Goddess and the Vile God. Because they were equally matched, they both created a vast number of special weapons imbued with their godly energy, each containing the life force of a fairy. Armed with these weapons, the deities continued their conflict until they finally sealed each other away into the great unknown. A long time has passed since this ancient conflict, and the weapons created by the Goddess and the Vile God have since been scattered across the world. These weapons—now known as “Furies”—are highly sought after by warriors who call themselves “Fencers”. It is said that whoever collects a Fury will be granted one wish. When a young man named Fang decides to rashly pull a Fury from a stone, he inadvertently becomes a Fencer himself, forever altering the course of his destiny.

About the game

NIS America is thrilled to announce that the exciting action RPG Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed will hit Europe on October 10 for both the PlayStation®3 and PS Vita systems. Developed by ACQUIRE, Akiba's Trip tells the story of one unfortunate soul: a young man named Nanashi who was lured into a trap by the promise of rare character goods and transformed into one of the walking undead. However, he was spared the worst of his fate by the bloody kiss of a mysterious Synthister hunter named Shizuku.
