Corpse Party for PC launches April 25, 3DS version coming this summer





XSEED Games Announces Upcoming Nintendo 3DS Release for Corpse Party and Reveals Long-Anticipated Release Date for PC Version

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today revealed its plans to release brand new versions of the much-lauded horror adventure, Corpse Party, for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and Windows PC, both with exclusive content never before seen outside of Japan. Originally developed as an independent title by Team GrisGris, and previously released by XSEED Games for the PSP, Corpse Party is a chilling visual novel-style experience that takes players on a terrifying journey where each step could be their last.

   

This summer, Corpse Party will receive a limited ‘Back to School Edition’ physical release for Nintendo 3DS priced at $49.99, which will include high-quality miniature figurines of characters Naomi Nakashima and Seiko Shinohara, as well as a soundtrack CD containing nearly 80 minutes of music from the game not previously featured on the ‘Songs of the Dead’ compilation, including three tracks exclusive to this Nintendo 3DS version. In addition to the limited ‘Back to School Edition’ physical release, Corpse Party will also see a digital release in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS for $29.99. Remastered from the 2011 PSP game, the Nintendo 3DS rendition of Corpse Party will feature redrawn, high-resolution character sprites, newly arranged music tracks, and 3D art stills, as well as four new Extra Chapters exclusive to this version that provide insight into lesser-shown characters and plot elements previously left unexplained.

   

On April 25, Corpse Party will receive a digital release on Windows PC for Steam, GOG.com, and the Humble Store by Humble Bundle for $14.99. Localized directly from the original independent PC version, which was previously never released outside of Japan, the worldwide Windows PC release of Corpse Party will feature all the original art and voice-acting, as well as a bevy of new features exclusive to this version. Among other inclusions, such as multiple endings and scenes that differ from the PSP and upcoming Nintendo 3DS releases, this version boasts four bonus chapters on top of the game’s five main story chapters, one of which is a PC-exclusive retelling of the “Tooth” story from Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, recreated with added content in classic Corpse Party adventure style. Players seeking to complete every ending will find that this version also contains a speedy fast-forward function for seamless replayability.

To commemorate the announcement of these two titles, XSEED Games has unveiled two brand new Corpse Party trailers—one for the Nintendo 3DS remaster (Screenshots), and one for the Windows PC version (Screenshots).

XSEED Games Reveals Launch Date for Windows PC Release of Busty 3D Brawler, Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today announced that the Windows PC version of its previously PlayStation Vita-exclusive entry in the Senran Kagura beat-’em-up series, Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, is headed to Steam on June 1, 2016, with the possibility of releasing on additional PC platforms to be explored in the coming months. Including all DLC from the game's "PSVita" release free of charge and boasting crisp HD textures alongside a smooth 60fps framerate to complement the bouncy brawler’s fast-paced action, the Windows PC release of Shinovi Versus promises to be bigger and better than ever. To celebrate the occasion, the game will be offered at 10% off its regular list price of $29.99 for the first week after launch (other international pricing may vary).

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus takes the ninja schoolgirls introduced to the world via Senran Kagura Burst and pits them against one another in an all-new standalone story. Through a 3D lens, players will now be able to revisit the rivalry between the students of the Hanzō National Academy and their sworn enemies at Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy, the latter of which have gone underground and formed a mercenary group known as Homura’s Crimson Squad. Both sides must also contend with two new sets of enemies: the students from the exceptionally strict Gessen Girls’ Academy, as well as the new generation of Hebijo students who seek to dominate all rivals. Each of the four schools gets its own unique narrative, and the original Japanese voice-overs pair with full English subtitles to bring each girl’s distinct personality and storyline to life.

Fan-favorite elements such as massive mid-air combos, Secret Ninja Techniques, and clothes-ripping action will now be presented in full HD and with a 60fps framerate in this Windows PC update of Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus. In addition, all previously released DLC from the game’s “PSVita” release - including extra characters, costumes, weapons, and more - will be included from the start, fully unlockable through gameplay. With over 20 playable characters, each featuring her own diverse fighting style and palette of special skills, players will have to master a vast array of abilities as they set forth upon the Path of the Shinobi. Players can also compete in three online multiplayer modes each designed for up to four players, including Death Match, Strip Battle (try to unclothe opponents), and Understorm (a race to grab the most undergarments falling from the sky).

XSEED Games Announces Plans to Publish an Indie-Lightful Trio of Titles on Consoles

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today announced that it will be expanding its North American lineup with three choice indie titles in the coming months. Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Exile’s End for PS4, “PSVita”, and Wii U, and physical editions of WayForward Technologies’ crowdfunded Shantae: Half-Genie Hero for PS4, “PSV ita”, and Wii U, are all scheduled to delight gamers later this year. XSEED Games will have all three titles playable at this year’s E3 (West Hall, Booth #5000), taking place in the LA Convention Center from June 14 – June 16.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

In the magical world of Sequin Land lives Shantae, a spirited young half-genie. She has dedicated her life to defending her home of Scuttle Town from evil in all forms, and has been called upon again as pirates attack! Using her trademark Hair-Whip Attack and special ability to transform herself into various kinds of creatures by way of magical belly-dancing, she must fight her way through steamy jungles, ancient ruins, and stormy deserts to topple the villainous Barons behind each criminal caper, preparing for the ultimate showdown against her arch-nemesis: the bodacious buccaneer Risky Boots!

After three successful outings, Shantae is ready to embark on her first full HD adventure in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero for PS4, “PSVita”, and Wii U. Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity

Immortality can be boring. At 500 years old, the so-called “Scarlet Devil,” Remilia Scarlet, is desperately searching for something new to end the monotony. After stumbling upon a newspaper article about a powerful, mysterious monster terrorizing the countryside, she rushes out to see if this could finally be the excitement for which she yearns. Unfortunately, not only is she unsuccessful in her search for the monster, but she returns to find her manor in ruins. It would seem the monster has come to her! With a renewed sense of determination (and a much-needed respite from her boredom), she vows to take revenge on this fiend and make it pay!

Set in the ever-evolving Touhou Project universe, the fan-created Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity trades in the series’ top-down “bullet hell” roots for an action RPG approach, drawing inspiration from series such as Ys while still retaining a distinctly indie feel . Players take the role of the titular vampire, Remilia Scarlet, or her devoted maid, Sakuya Izayoi, as they explore a wide variety of environments and battle aggressive creatures. Fast-paced combat and the series’ trademark complex patterns and waves of projectiles will keep players on their toes as they fight to retake Scarlet’s manor!

XSEED Games will be publishing Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity digitally on the PlayStation Store for PS4 later this fall. More information will be provided in the coming months.





Exile’s End

In the distant future, mega-corporation Ravenwood exists more as an interplanetary government than a company, controlling commerce and manipulating the economy with its own private army. So when its president’s son goes missing on a remote mining planet and all contact is lost, the company quickly dispatches a team of mercenaries to investigate. Immediately upon their arrival in orbit, however, the team’s ship experiences an electrical failure and careens toward the surface. Numerous soldiers eject from the crashing ship via escape pods, but only one seems to make landfall relatively unscathed: an old, embittered private named Jameson. In his efforts to restore communications on the planet, he ends up discovering the remains of the mining colony and learns a truth far more sinister than he ever could have imagined…

A dark and futuristic 2D sidescroller offering adventure-style puzzles, exploration-driven platforming, and dangerous extraterrestrials, Exile’s End is part Metroidvania and part “cinematic platformer,” drawing heavy inspiration from classics of the genre like Out of This World and Flashback: The Quest for Identity. Boasting uniquely stylized animated cutscenes, multiple endings, and an atmospheric soundtrack by Keiji Yamagishi of Ninja Gaiden and Tecmo Super Bowl fame, players who take up Jameson’s mantle will find themselves investigating a massive, interconnected alien world as they solve the mysteries of a dark, underground complex and experience a story filled with ancient riddles and modern-day hubris. Backed by Japanese publisher Marvelous Inc., Exile’s End is a collaboration between Tokyo-based indie game developer Matt Fielding and many talented local industry veterans, and a partial remake of Fielding’s first game, Inescapable, that significantly expands on its general ideas and themes.

XSEED Games will be publishing Exile’s End digitally on the PlayStation Store for PS4 and “PSVita” as well as on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U later this summer. More information will be provided in the coming months.

XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, announced its exciting lineup of games that will be shown for the first time at the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) June 14 – 16 in Los Angeles. Revealed today are Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system, and Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

The company will additionally showcase The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and “PSVita” system , Corpse Party for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, and recently announced indie games; Shantae: Half-Genie Hero for PS4™, Wii U, and “PSVita”, Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity for PS4, and Exile’s End for PS4, Wii U, and “PSVita.”

Also announced today was the addition of Akiba’s Beat, also for the PS4 and “PSVita” to the company’s lineup, which is currently set for a Winter 2016 launch. More information about the game will be made available at E3.

Platforms: PS4, PSVita - Release: Winter

Expanding upon the extensive and much-beloved Fate universe with a standalone story from acclaimed series writer Kinoko Nasu (of Fate/stay night fame), Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, developed by Marvelous Inc., transpires on the new world of Extella through a diverse cast of “Servants” – ancient warriors of legend and imagination, always at their Masters’ orders – who survived the Holy Grail War that took place on the Moon. In a future ruled by the all-powerful lunar super computer Moon Cell Automaton, these champions now duke it out for dominance over this digital realm, known as “SE.RA.PH.” This story takes place after the events described in Fate/EXTRA, and depicts the world after that previous Holy Grail War. Players will experience the story from the independent perspectives of the three heroine Servants and face off against foes from a variety of Fate productions, including characters from Fate/stay night, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order, in fast-paced action. A new form change battle mechanic debuts in this entry to match its series-first gameplay style, transforming the player-controlled Servants and granting them considerable powers that allow them to devastate enemies and take formidable challenges head-on.



Platform: Nintendo 3DS - Release: 2017

In celebration of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the longest-running farming and life simulation series, the beloved Bokujo Monogatari franchise – now known as Story of Seasons in the West – returns with its biggest adventure yet in Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. Settled on a homestead in the middle of three distinct and uniquely themed locales, players can explore a diverse landscape as they search for new ways to grow their farms and friendships. Extensive customization and gameplay options are on offer in Trio of Towns, with each village offering its own variety of regional crops, lads and ladies to romance, animals, festivals, furniture, decorations and more. More ways to play sprout up as players connect to one another locally or via the internet to chat, trade, and enhance items on a mysterious multiplayer island.
