《杀戮地带：暗影坠落》游戏容量确定将为39.7GB

Guerrilla Games今天在一次采访中确认，由他们制作的《杀戮地带：暗影坠落》的游戏大小为39.7GB。

Guerrilla Games表示，39.7GB是游戏的欧洲版本的大小，同时还指出其他语言版本的大小会接近37GB。作为对比，Infinity Ward最近宣布《使命召唤10：幽灵》的PC版本大小为40GB。

索尼早些时候曾经形容《杀戮地带：暗影坠落》为超大文件。PS4自带一个500GB的硬盘，但是玩家可以像PS3一样来进行扩展。

Guerrilla Games的技术总监Michiel van der leeuw在采访中解释说，游戏这么大的主要原因是大量的艺术视觉效果。

他说：“大部分都是材质文件。我觉得我们的游戏会比其他将要在现代主机和次世代主机同时发行的游戏要大，因为我们游戏中没有为低配置制作的画面效果。”

Van der Leeuw也表示游戏的关卡将会更比系列以往的作品更加开放，“地表区域会比《杀戮地带3》大5-10倍。”

Van der Leeuw还解释说，如果工作室没有重制数据管理系统，那么游戏的大小将会更大。

他说：“曾经有一段时间我们制作的镜像的大小在180GB左右。如果不是因为碟片镜像生成器崩溃了的话，我们如果把所有关卡放进一个镜像，那么大小会在290GB左右。”

Vander Leeuw还表示，对于已经在PSN上购买了游戏的玩家，索尼最新的PlayGo系统将允许玩家在下载的同时可以先运行一部分的游戏。

他解释说，网络环境好的玩家可以先下载7.5GB的数据来运行第一关，玩家可以先花一晚上的时间来完成第一关，其他部分的游戏将在第二天一早就会完成下载。

他说：“实际上，我认为很多玩家都可以这样做。初始部分7.5GB的大小可能对于一些玩家还是很大。我觉得下一次我们会再重新构思一个比现在这种方法更适合玩家的设计。

但是我认为比起前几作来，这还是一个非常大的进步。”

《杀戮地带：暗影坠落》将作为PS4首发游戏于11月15日和11月29日分别登陆北美和欧洲市场。

Killzone: Shadow Fall originally started out as a monstrous game – about 290GB worth of content. Thankfully, the final version isn’t nearly as big, coming in at 39.7GB for the European release.

Guerrilla Games says the game’s large file size can be largely attributed to high-quality art assets. Still, Shadow Fall’s file size has been fully optimized.

40GB isn’t anywhere near 290GB, but it’s still fairly large. In order to smooth out the download process, players can begin the experience as soon as 7.5GB has been collected on the PS4′s hard drive.

There’s one final, important note about Killzone: Shadow Fall – there are no in-game load times (except for an initial 30 seconds). There are also no logos or splash screens that you’d normally see during the start-up of a game.

In order to properly demonstrate the framerate and resolution we achieve in Shadow Fall’s multiplayer, we’ve captured and lightly compressed new footage that we’re not offering through a video sharing service. Instead, we ask that you download and locally view the high-resolution, uncompressed footage directly from from us.

Important note: Please use a video player with hardware acceleration when viewing the footage. We recommend Windows Media Player for Windows users and QuickTime Player for Mac users. The video you just saw has been captured from a multiplayer match on “The Park,” which is situated firmly behind enemy lines near the Visari tribute statue.

As you can probably tell from the footage, Killzone Shadow Fall multiplayer outputs at a native 1080p, rendering uncapped but always targeting 60 FPS. We’re very pleased with how well the game runs, and we can’t wait for you to play it come November 15th.

　　2013年11月29日也就是明天，PS4就将在欧洲和澳大利亚地区发售了，而首发游戏中玩家们相对期待的作品就是《杀戮地带：阴影坠落》。日前为了庆祝PS4在欧洲发售，SCEE联合Guerrilla Games放出了《杀戮地带：阴影坠落》的开发日志。

first free killzone shadow fall mp maps revealed

Today we’re giving you a sneak peak at the first pair of downloadable multiplayer maps for Killzone Shadow Fall, inspired by key locations from the single-player campaign. The maps will be released to the community free of charge, and will be fully compatible with Killzone Shadow Fall’s Custom Warzone feature.

First up is The Cruiser, a close-to-mid-range combat map set in the confines of a decommissioned ISA cruiser. Consisting of tight, claustrophobic corridors and interconnected compartments, the key to dominating this map is identifying and controlling its choke points.

Next is The Hangar, a wide-open map situated in the hangar bay of one of Helghan’s humongous mining spires. In addition to the main area, which offers long lines of sight suitable for sniping, the map contains alternative routes that will need to be secured for full control.

Apart from The Cruiser and The Hanger multiplayer maps, we’re also working on the first DLC expansion pack for Killzone Shadow Fall. We’ll have more information on what it entails and when it’s available in the near future. There’s a whole season of exciting multiplayer content coming to Killzone Shadow Fall, so be sure to pick up the Season Pass!

　　PS4首发最大牌的游戏《杀戮地带：阴影坠落》在发售2个月后官方公布了第一弹多人模式免费地图，两张全新网战地图都是来自于单人战役模式中的，分别名为“巡洋舰(The Cruiser)”和“飞机库(The Hangar)”。

　　巡洋舰地图各船舱之间通过通道相连，狭窄区域较多适合打游击战，掌握战斗主导的关键就是控制地图中的咽喉要道。

　　飞机库则是一张非常开阔的地图，除了主要的战斗区域外，地图中还提供了非常适合狙击的地点。

Then we have The Hangar which takes place in the hangar bay of one of Helghan’s vast and lofty mining spires. This wide-open map combines large exposed spaces, perfect for sniping, as well as alternative routes to seek out and secure for total domination.

The Cruiser map is set in a decommissioned VSA cruiser full of narrow, labyrinthine passages and interconnected compartments. Perfect for close-to-mid-range combat, the key to owning this map is identifying and dominating its many choke points.

Killzone: Shadow Fall ‘Insurgent Pack’ DLC Announced

Killzone Shadow Fall: New Multiplayer DLC and Maps

We are very excited to announce the details of Killzone Shadow Fall’s first multiplayer expansion: The Insurgent Pack.

The expansion pack is full of exciting new features for multiplayer including a brand new Character Class, 3 new abilities, 3 new weapons and 2 new game modes.

The Helghast government has been secretly funding The Black Hand, the operatives of which have been infiltrating Vekta City. The VSA has also started a programme that sends saboteurs disguised as refugees to the Helghast side of the wall. These insurgents are playable for the first time in the brand new Insurgent Expansion, which includes:

The Insurgent – a brand new class with two unique abilities: Hack and Steal

The insurgent starts with just a pistol and his wits about him. As vulnerable as he is, he can slowly build up his arsenal in the game by using [Steal] to steal weapons and abilities from downed enemies, which enables him to use those weapons throughout the game, even if he falls in combat. By Using [Hack] he can change enemy ground automata into friendlies, turning the tide of battle quite swiftly.

3 New Abilities – The Scout, Support and Assault also get additional abilities

• E-Pulse emitter – a deployable beacon that sends out an e-pulse making it difficult for enemy units to install automata in that area
• Tactical Echo emitter – a deployable beacon that send out a Tactical Echo from a fixed location making the area hard to infiltrate by hidden enemy units
• Guard Drone – The Assault gets a stationary Buddy drone; deploy it in one place and it guards the location from a ground level.

3 New Weapons – Welcome old friends and new with this pack of weapons for the Scout, Assault and Support

• M82 – the classic assault rifle of choice from Killzone 2 and 3 is back!
• L512 SMG Pistol – this amazing machine pistol makes your tactical secondary weapon of choice that much more punch
• Sta14 Rifle – The sniper rifle of many battles past adds to your long distance sniping arsenal.

New Single Player Elite Mode – The nightmarish difficulty of Elite Mode will test the hardest of warriors

3 lives, Hard difficulty, and the Shadowfall campaign to test your mettle.

New Online Collectibles Mode – Find the online collectibles crates in game for rewards

A limited set of collectible crates will spawn only for Insurgent Expansion holders, one per match for a limited time. Collect one and earn extra points in game, collect more and stand to win rewards in game.

Insurgent Personalisation Pack

• 1 OWL Skin
• 3 Spotlight Moves
• 1 Voice Over pack containing HGH and VSA battle chatter voices

New Challenges and Trophies

All this content comes with its own set of Challenges and Trophies to unlock. Trophy details will be released soon.
