About the game

Story of Seasons is the beginning of a new chapter in the “Bokujo Monogatari” series, a long-standing and top-selling farming/life simulation franchise. Though the series is reborn with a new name, it continues the well-loved traditions of customizable farms, animal care and relationship-building toward the goal of getting married and starting a family.

After creating a customized character, players can live out a new life by cultivating their favorite fruits and vegetables while expanding and filling their farm with their choice of animals. Fans of past games in the series will love the many new additions on display here, including an enhanced variety of seeds, pets, and other ways to make their farms truly their own. But the major addition is the new theme of “connectivity,” as trading with other countries will help grow the player’s crop variety and wallet, as well as the prosperity of the entire town. Players can also connect locally via WiFi to visit one another’s farms and tend crops as a team, expanding both their harvests and their friendships.

日本 DyDo 罐装咖啡与《超级玛利欧》合作 随罐附赠红白机点阵造型玩偶

　　日本 DyDo 饮料公司宣布，旗下长卖的罐装咖啡商品「DyDo Blend 调豆咖啡」与「DyDo Blend Demitasse 咖啡」将与任天堂经典动作游戏《超级玛利欧兄弟》合作，自 2 月 17 日起随罐附赠红白机《超级玛利欧兄弟》登场角色的立体化点阵造型玩偶，共有 8 种造型可供收集。



　　2 月 17 日起出货的这两款罐装咖啡，每罐上都会盖有绿色的盖子，里头包含 1 组玩偶。收纳玩偶用的盖子反过来则是会变成游戏中熟悉的绿色水管，可以用来摆设附赠的点阵造型玩偶。

Nintendo TVii is Officially Cancelled in Europe



Cancellation of Nintendo TVii service for European regions

At Nintendo of Europe, we continue to challenge ourselves to develop a range of entertaining experiences for all to enjoy. Due to the extremely complex nature of localising multiple television services across a diverse range of countries with varied licensing systems, regrettably we have taken the decision not to launch the Nintendo TVii service within the European region. Although on this occasion we did not anticipate such challenges, we will always strive to develop a range of entertaining experiences for all our users to enjoy.

With this in mind, Nintendo of Europe has launched the Nintendo Anime Channel, a new video-on-demand service on Nintendo 3DS which offers users the chance to stream anime series from the likes of Pokémon, Kirby, and Inazuma Eleven. New content will be added regularly and access to this service is granted simply by downloading a free application from Nintendo eShop.

Free-to-play Pokémon Shuffle now available in North America & Europe

   

Pokémon Shuffle launches in North America and Europe today

The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo have today released Pokémon Shuffle, a new game for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

Match three or more Pokémon in a line to attack and progress through a variety of different stages. The aim of the game is to reduce the wild Pokémon’s HP to zero within the number of moves available. The best players will use traditional Pokémon type-matching skills to defeat the wild Pokémon efficiently and make capturing it easier.

Downloadable at no cost from Nintendo eShop, Pokémon Trainers can play through every aspect and feature of the game at no cost. Players start the game with five Hearts, and one is used up for each stage played. When players run out of Hearts, they’ll need to wait for their Hearts to replenish in order to continue playing.

For players who wish to progress more quickly, there are opportunities to purchase Jewels using their Nintendo eShop balance, which can be redeemed in-game for a variety of benefits, including extra Coins to purchase more items, the ability to continue a match after turns run out, and Hearts to keep playing without waiting. Jewels are available for ￡0.89 each from within Pokémon Shuffle. Players will need to have access to the Nintendo eShop to purchase them.

Pokémon Shuffle also incorporates fun connectivity features utilising StreetPass. Players can swap play records with others to see how they are progressing through the game, and get bonus Jewels via StreetPass, too! Passing by a large number of people, or passing by the same player multiple times, will give even more chances to earn bonus Jewels. And the fun doesn’t stop there! Free special stages to download will be added regularly throughout the year.

New Nintendo 3DS / XL 欧美地区正式开卖 首发约卖出 33 万台

　　任天堂终于在这个月发售了欧洲版以及美国版的 New Nintendo 3DS / XL（以下简称NN3DS）。NN3DS在硬件上做了提升、支持Micro SD卡以及可以用NFC与自家的Amiibo连动，而究竟NN3DS这台硬件提升的掌机首发状况如何呢？

　　根据国外网站IBT的报导，这次首发销售总数为33万5千台。

　　当中美国销售量为17万5千台；欧洲为16万台（去年日本10月首发销售数为23万3千台）。

　　而任天堂也公布了《萨尔达传说：众神的三角之力2》与《魔物猎人4 终极》在欧洲以及美国的首发销售情形。

　　《魔物猎人4 终极》的销售数据是由CAPCOM提供；根据CAPCOM的数据显示《魔物猎人4 终极》比上一代《魔物猎人3终极》快了三倍，首发来到了10万。不过《魔物猎人4 终极》并没有公布美国销售情况。

　　而近期发售的《萨尔达传说：穆修拉的面具 3D》首发表现又是如何呢？

　　根据任天堂以及日本法米通公布的数据来看，在美国三天卖出30万5千份、欧洲上市两天则是20万5千份，令一方面日本则是23万份。

　　比较令人好奇任天堂能否在推出新掌机后带动一波新买气刺激销售？而这股买气不知道能否能持续多久？

Golden Mario amiibo releasing on March 20 in North America ~ Walmart exclusive




Nintendo News: Nintendo Gives Fans a Golden Opportunity to Own a Cool New Mario amiibo

Mario has always been golden in the minds of his fans. On March 20, Nintendo will launch the Super Mario amiibo—Gold Edition, a shiny gold-colored Mario figure that arrives on the same day as the Mario Party 10 game for the Wii U console. The Super Mario amiibo—Gold Edition will be sold exclusively at 3,000 Walmart stores in the U.S. at launch at a retail price of $12.96.

Nintendo’s amiibo are interactive toys that come to life in compatible games in different ways. This new golden figure represents the third Mario amiibo. The other two Mario amiibo are:

• The original ‘fireball’ Mario from the Super Smash Bros. series.
• A new ‘wave’ Mario from the Super Mario series available on March 20, for a limited time bundled only with Mario Party 10.

The new gold-colored Mario amiibo is compatible with multiple games that support amiibo. For example, Mario Party 10 features a new amiibo Party mode that players can only access by tapping their compatible amiibo figures on the Wii U GamePad controller to customize them and bring them into the game as board pieces. Players can also save items to their amiibo, then use them strategically. Or players can train their amiibo to supercharge its stats and expand its abilities in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U or Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
