Jr Boogaloo is one of the most well known “old school poppers” in the world and almost everyone considers him an “OG”. Hailing from Oceanside, CA, he is consistently on everyone's top ten list of poppers, old and new. Dancing for nearly his entire life, he travels the world sharing his love of dancing - teaching, judging events, and even entering contests. His recent wins at top events, proves that “old school” poppers can still hold their own against the new school.


Jr Boogaloo has won the:

Unity and Respect (Boston 2007)
Old School Night (Osaka Japan 2008)

1v1 Battle.

Top16~Top8 - Each 1 Round ( 1min )
Top8~Top4 - Each 2 Rounds ( 1min )
Top4~Final - Each 2 Rounds ( Without time limit! )

This session is all about 'Popping', and we are very lucky that we had invited 3 great and awesome popper, Jackson Boogie J, Raymond BaggyHead & Joel Urban Groove.
Each of them, have thier own and diff STYLE, MANTALITY, FEEL, KNOWLEDGE, and more...but they do share same thing in common, that is THE PASSION in DANCING, the passion do make them love to share all the skills, the groove, the knowledge and the history that they knew.

3.30 - 5.00pm : Popping Workshop by Robin (Singapore)
5.00 - 6.30pm : Prelim rounds for Hip Hop & Popping Battles ( if any)

8.00pm :Groove Session 2011

Battle format (both categories):

Prelims
* 1-2 minutes freestyle (in groups and to be selected by judges to get into the next round)

*selected dancers are to battle each other for top 8 selections(by judges)
* 1 X 1min throwdown ONLY each

* 2 X 1min throwdowns each

3rd/4th Placing
*2 X 1min throwdowns each

1st/2nd Placing
* 3 X 1min throwdowns each

TICKETS & WORKSHOPS:

Any 1 workshop + GS Ticket = RM 80
Both Workshops + GS Ticket = RM 100
Groove Session Ticket ONLY = RM 30
Battle Registration = RM 20
*Participants who are taking part in battles will be granted free entrance for the session but shall pay for the battle registration fee.
