Focus Home Interactive Partner Up With Deck13 for Unnanounced RPG

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Deck13 Interactive, Frankfurt based developer famed for games such as Lords of the Fallen, to bring you a new premium action RPG IP set in a dystopian sci-fi future to be revealed by name at a later date.

The new game will feature innovative combat mechanics and an original character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through tight, visceral combat.

Of the new partnership, Deck13 Interactive CEO’s Florian Stadlbauer and Jan Klose said, respectively, "We are delighted to be working with Focus Home Interactive. Our relationship with the company over the past few months has created a lot of trust and confidence already. During the past years, the Focus team has shown that they are extremely successful in marketing European titles worldwide."

Klose, CEO and Creative Director, stated "After our recent major project, the team at Deck13 is eager to take on the next challenge. We have learned a lot and want to deliver an even greater experience to core gamers this time."

Focus Home Interactive’s Managing Partner Cedric Lagarrigue added “We are ecstatic to announce this new partnership with one of the very best independent European development studios. We’ve been excited by Deck13’s new project since our first exchange with them, and as we’ve just got through the pre-production phase, we’re fully convinced by their capacities to deliver one of the most exciting RPGs to come in the future.”

The unannounced IP will be revealed at a later date, and the game is expected to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with a retail and digital release in 2017.

　　Focus Home Interactive 由《堕落之王》团队 Deck13 制作、动作角色扮演系列新作《机甲狂潮（The Surge）》，将在今年 10 月 2 号继续迎来一部新 DLC「The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented」。这个名字显然是向经典西部片《黄金三镖客》致敬。这款 DLC 将为游戏加入牛仔帽、小酒馆、废弃矿洞等西部题材的视觉素材。

　　在这款DLC中，Warren将进入CREO设施，探索被废弃的质量保障实验室。Warren将面对Rischober博士的夺命测试间，而这些测试看上去就像是直接从西部电影里直接搬出来的一样。牛仔、印第安人、墨西哥强盗等角色在这片标志性的土地上游荡，只不过同时出现的还有疯狂的博士和他的受害者。镇上来了个新警长，新官上任要三把火。

　　本次DLC将允许玩家在16个可控变量中挑选四个任意搭配，每个关卡的最后都有独特的挑战者，制造各种棘手的战局。

Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 Interactive have released the first screenshots of its recently announced The Surge expansion “The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented.”

Here is an overview of the add-on, via Focus Home Interactive:

Discover the first glimpses of the expansion’s wicked enemies awaiting you in the Mad Doctor’s testing chambers.

Enter the bowels of the CREO facility and explore an old and abandoned Quality Assurance lab created to push CREO’s tech to the limit. Warren will face Dr. Rischboter’s deadly test chambers that, for some reason, feel like torn straight out of a twisted Wild West TV show!

Fight through the mad doctor’s training rooms and try modifying them yourself for increased rewards by combining up to 4 of the 16 insane modifiers available. At the end of each stage, fight against distinct Challengers, powerful opponents forged from the training scenarios who are equipped with 30 unique new equipment pieces – armors, weapons, and implants – that you can take for yourself!

The Surge is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The “Good, the Bad, and the Augmented” expansion is due out on October 2.

　　Focus Home Interactive 由《堕落之王》团队 Deck13 制作、动作角色扮演系列新作《机甲狂潮（The Surge）》，将在今年 10 月 2 号继续迎来一部新 DLC「The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented」。今日游戏发行商Focus Home公布了这一消息。

　　预告中可以看出，这部 DLC 的场景设定在了一座美国复古的西部小镇。据官方介绍，在这部DLC中玩家将对抗疯狂的科学家Rischboter博士。玩家将在其设置的多个训练室中，通过相应的调节器设置，来增加自己获得的奖励。具体则有30中独特的新装备（武器、装甲以及植入装备）

　　官方表示，这部 DLC 在 10 月 2 号推出时，游戏也将推出一个扩张版，其中将有游戏本体以及包含这部 DLC 在内的全部DLC。

　　之前《机甲狂潮 2》也已经正式公布，新作预计是在明年发售。续作依然由曾经开发了《堕落之王》的工作室Deck13负责。《堕落之王 2》目前的开发则已经由 Defiant 工作室负责。

　　《机甲狂潮》为科幻动作角色扮演游戏，二代保留了粉丝对一代好评的特色，包括独特的动态瞄准系统、深度的角色发展系统与硬派战斗方式，并加以进化。 Focus Home Interactive 表示，《机甲狂潮 2》采用由 Deck13 改良后的 FLEDGE 引擎制作，设定在更加庞大的全新环境，拥有更具挑战的关卡设计，强调将会带给玩家更加残酷的战斗、更进化的躲避方式与更具挑战性的 AI 敌人。

After the success of last year’s sci-fi action RPG The Surge, Focus Home Interactive and Deck 13 are ready to showcase the very first gameplay footage of The Surge 2, releasing 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The trailer showcases the new Park sector, located in the middle of a city ravaged by the events of The Surge. Devious mercenaries called The Hunters roam the artificial, man-made forest, searching for a powerful creature. Beware their traps, their cunning cloaking devices, and most of all, the out-of-control former park guardians.

The Surge 2 keeps what fans and critics loved about the original – hardcore combat utilizing a unique, dynamic limb targeting system and deep character progression – while also improving the formula. The Surge 2 takes place in a brand new environment: a sprawling, devastated city with larger and more ambitious level design, made possible by Deck13’s upgraded and improved FLEDGE engine. Combat is more brutal and tactical than ever, with more advanced dodging, directional parrying, and unique AI behaviors. In addition, more abilities, weapons, implants, and drones give players a vast arsenal to build their character with, in their fight against the array of diverse new enemies and bosses.

The Surge 2 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019.

　　今日Focus Home 互动开发商 Deck13 宣布已经在开发《机甲狂潮 》的续作《机甲狂潮 2》，通过 IGN 放出了首部实机演示。这款游戏计划在 2019 年发售，对应平台包括主机和PC平台。

　　视频中展示了玩家操控的主角与两位不同敌人的之间的战斗。可以看出新作中玩家角色在操控上相比于前作已经具备更加灵活、多变以及流畅的战斗方式。

　　角色可灵活进行格挡、闪避、轻击、重击、连击以及远程跳劈攻击。而同时玩家面对的两位敌人也都具有不同的特色，一位是会隐身的灵敏型敌人；另一位则是拥有多种范围性攻击的BOSS级敌人。加上演示中展示的新作非常不错的打击效果和环境破坏效果，让《机甲狂潮 2》这款新作看起来也是有很大的潜力。

　　《机甲狂潮》是一款机甲类的《黑暗之魂》似游戏作品，故事设定在一个即将毁灭的星球上，玩家在游戏中将通过机械科技和机甲来进行战斗。

Dystopian Action RPG The Surge is preparing to unleash its latest free DLC for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC players: the Cutting Edge Pack, and as good news always comes in pairs, the game and all of its DLCs are up to 75% off on Steam, PlayStation Europe and Xbox One.

The Cutting Edge Pack DLC will grant 3 new armor sets providing a variety of useful boons when worn in their entirety, 3 devastating weapons, as well as 3 brand new jumpsuits:

• The ANGEL was originally designed for operation in the harsh vacuum of space, some of the most inhospitable conditions known to man, and bestows faster attack speeds, better energy gain, harder impacts on CODENAME weapons.

• The ASCLEPIUS was meant to assist army veterans in gaining a new lease on life, but its regenerative powers will work well enough for you too.

• The NANO WARD gear uses bleeding edge technology to give your blocks some serious explosive power – if you can time them right.

On the more offensive side, CREO’s new weapons are the latest technology, prototypes for blue-sky projects that may never see the light of day – and certainly haven’t been safety-tested!

• The Experiment 44H, known as the Dark Star, never saw full production due to the madness of its creator leading to him sabotaging the whole project before more than one could be made. Its unique containment field will wreak havoc on enemies.

• The Engelhart is a boost tool that uses state-of-the-art technology to become searing hot anytime, anywhere. As potentially dangerous to the wielder as their enemies, it requires skill and practice to use effectively.

• The BioN J-1, codenamed Last Aid, is quite literally a surgical tool, originally designed for use in medical hospitals. After an unfortunate incident with a rogue doctor, it became known as a tool of carnage.

Once the DLC is installed you will find six fierce new enemies in Abandoned Production, Executive Forum, and Nucleus that must be defeated to acquire the new items.

　　今日Focus Home 互动开发商 Deck13 宣布已经在开发《机甲狂潮 》的续作《机甲狂潮 2》，并计划在 2019 年发售，对应平台包括主机和PC平台。

　　Focus Home 在公告中表示，《机甲狂潮2》的故事发生在一个被摧毁的城市之中，在 Deck13 的升级和改进之后，本作的关卡设计将更具野心并且更加庞大，游戏的战斗也将比以往更加残酷和有战术性。与此同时，拓展的肢体瞄准系统也将给玩家提供更多的选择。

　　除此之外，官方还透露该作将加入更多武器、能力、植入物和无人机，它们也能够帮助玩家更好地培养自己的角色、对抗新的敌人和 Boss。

After the success of The Surge, the hardcore Action RPG released in May 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Focus Home Interactive and Deck 13 are happy to announce the renewal of their partnership and the development of The Surge 2, with a release date planned for 2019 on consoles and PC.

The Surge 2 keeps what fans and critics loved about the original – hardcore combat utilizing a unique, dynamic limb targeting system and deep character progression – while also expanding greatly upon the formula. The Surge 2 takes place in a brand new environment: a sprawling, devastated city with larger and more ambitious level design, made possible by Deck13’s upgraded and improved engine. Combat is more brutal and tactical than ever, with even more options thanks to an expanded limb targeting system. In addition, more abilities, weapons, implants, and drones give players a vast arsenal to build their character with, in their fight against the array of diverse new enemies and bosses.

More information about The Surge 2 will be unveiled at Le What’s Next de Focus – February 7-8, the yearly press event organized by the French publisher in Paris. Deck13 will talk more about their new title to the international press, so stay tuned.

The Surge 2 will release on consoles and PC in 2019.

CREO World is an amusement park built by CREO for its employees and their families. Forget your cravings for cotton candy – CREO World was not spared from the Surge. CREO World presents a wealth of fresh challenges for players.
