Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Will Launch on New Generation Consoles and Mobile Devices

505 Games today confirmed the critically-acclaimed hit Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Summer, complete with additional Director’s Commentary, Soundtrack and Concept Art Gallery content.

In addition to the new generation platform releases, the award winning and emotionally charged puzzle/adventure game will also be brought to iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices this holiday season, giving mobile and tablet gamers the chance to experience the unforgettable narrative anytime, anywhere.

Developed by Starbreeze Studios and directed by filmmaker Josef Fares, Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons is a breathtaking tale of two siblings, desperate to save a father on the brink of death. They are left with only one option: set out on a journey to find and retrieve an elixir that can cure his terminal illness. Throughout their expedition they come to rely on one another to survive. One must be strong when the other is weak, one must be brave, when the other is fearful, supporting each other throughout their voyage. Players must master a unique control system to guide both brothers simultaneously across these perilous lands.

A wholly immersive experience, Brothers is an epic story told without words, set in an ever changing world, ranging from craggy mountain peaks to the musty depths of underground caverns. This unique mythical world, which draws inspiration from Nordic cultures and archaeology, is in a state of transition between the old and the new ways.

Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons will be available this summer (2015) on PS4 and XBOX One. The game will also be available via app store download on Apple iOS, Android and Windows phone devices this holiday season.

　　《兄弟：双子传说》是由《星际传奇》游戏开发商Starbreeze所开发的一款游戏，此前本作已经于2013年登陆PS3和XBOX 360平台。而日前多家国外媒体注意到，本作的PS4版和XBOX One版出现在了德国评级网站USK的页面中，这意味着本作或许将会登陆PS4和XBOX One这两大次世代平台。当然目前官方尚未正式公开相关情报。

505 Games acquires the game “Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons” from Starbreeze

Starbreeze, an independent creator, publisher and distributor of computer and video games, announced today that it has signed an agreement for the sale of its game "Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons" for a total sum of US$ 500 000 in cash. The game has sold more than a total of 800.000 units worldwide during its lifetime.

The transaction includes both the full entitlement to the game as well as related trademarks and domain names.

"The sale represents our final transition to the digital strategy. With Brothers we've created a strong and critically acclaimed IP, which we now feel can be best nurtured under a new owner. Going forward, we will continue development focused on expansive design, a concept proven with the PayDay franchise. Brothers will continue to generate awe and admiration for the great storytelling standard Josef Fares set under 505 Games watchful eye." said Bo Andersson Klint, CEO of Starbreeze.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Now Available on Xbox Live

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, selected as the first game to kick off the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade 2013, is now available on the Xbox Live online entertainment network for the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft for 1200 Microsoft Points.

This highly-anticipated, and critically acclaimed, game lets players guide two brothers on an epic fairy tale journey from visionary Swedish film director Josef Fares and developer Starbreeze Studios.
