索尼电脑娱乐

索尼电脑娱乐（Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.，株式會社ソニー・コンピュータエンタテインメント，简称为SCEI，通常称为SCE）是日本的游戏机、游戏软体开发、制造与贩售厂商，为SONY旗下全资子公司，1993年11月16日在东京成立，1994年起使用现有黄色菱形图案作为公司标识。其旗下子公司有日本国内的Polyphony Digital，海外依地域性划分北美、欧洲、亚洲三大海外市场。

简介

任天堂公司所出品的FC游戏机取得了空前成功，促使索尼在1988年与任天堂合作，共同开发超级任天堂用CD-ROM主机。1992年5月，任天堂在事前没有通知索尼的情况下毁约，私下改为与飞利浦公司合作，任天堂与索尼的合作破裂。久多良木健向当时的索尼社长大贺典雄提出自行开发游戏主机的计划。大贺典雄在众多的反对声中，非常支持久多良木健的计划。1993年，日本SONY的技术人员与日本索尼音乐的工作团队于东京创立了索尼电脑娱乐(SCE)，由久多良木健担任社长，进行代号“PS-X”的新一代CD-ROM游戏主机开发计划，意图全力对抗当时主导电视游戏机市场的任天堂。

1994年，SCE以当时最先端的3D影像技术为武器的电视游乐器“PlayStation”加入硬体市场，与SEGA的SEGA Saturn和任天堂的Nintendo 64展开了激烈的市场竞争；也因为太空战士系列的影响，发售后3年内稳居游戏市场第一的位置。另外，2000年发售的PlayStation 2，在和SEGA的Dreamcast、任天堂的GameCube、微软的Xbox的竞争中，也依然保持优势。2004年，SCE发售携带游戏主机PlayStation Portable。2006年11月，SCE发售PlayStation 3。
