Features

• Zombies aren't the only thing to fear - Players will square off against each other in 3 teams of 4 players, fighting both each other as well as a wide-range of zombies and freakish super-bosses, normal walkers to heavily infected creatures. Some will even require the cooperation of all 3 competing teams to take them down!

• The best kind of friend is one you make - Epidemic features an immense crafting system where players can forge their weapon arsenal of choice. There will be hundreds of weapons, trinkets and items that players can craft, and once crafted, these weapons can continue to be improved to fully suit a player’s personality and play style. Combining weapons and their effects and perks will offer an enormous range of possible setups and a new take on gameplay in this genre.

• All your base don't matter to us - Unlike other MOBAs, the gameplay isn’t focused on attack the other teams’ base, but rather on fighting over control points and various targets strewn about the map. This provides shifting, dynamic gameplay as players constantly need to adapt their focus and occasionally team up with opposing forces throughout match play. Tackling dynamic gameplay objectives are key to success.

• Easy to sink your teeth in - Dead Island: Epidemic is intended to be an experience that’s easy to jump into, easy to play, but rewards commitment and intelligent teamwork. An action game first and foremost, Epidemic lets players dive in and get to bashing, shooting, and looting as quickly as possible.

Deep Silver takes the first ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena) to the next level: Zombie and MOBA fans can now sign up for the Closed Beta of Dead Island: Epidemic on the freshly re-launched website www.playdie.net and be part of the final stages of development. Dead Island: Epidemic will pit 3 teams of players against each other in a desperate fight for survival. Dead Island: Epidemic is a Free-to-Play PC title that will feature all the trademark elements that are part of a Dead Island experience.

Signing up pays off: All newly registered players can directly join the 30,000 Alpha testers and make their first steps in Dead Island: Epidemic even before the official start of the Closed Beta. In addition to that, they will receive exclusive in-game items and rewards as the Closed Beta proceeds which they can keep afterwards.

Dead Island: Epidemic Bursts Into Early Access with the Return of the Iconic Sam B

Dead Island: Epidemic, the world’s first ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena), enters Early Access on Steam starting at $16.99. Debuting with three different Early Access starter packs to choose from, Deep Silver alsointroduces iconic Dead Island heroSam B as a playable character. All Early Access options contain exclusive weapons, upgrades and in-game currency that can be used straightaway or during the upcoming Open Beta phase and at the launch of the final game.

Pitting 3 teams of players against each other in a desperate fight for survival, Dead Island: Epidemic is aFree-to-Play PC title that will feature all the trademark elements that are part of a Dead Island experience and much more.

Included in each pack

• Patient Zero Pack ($16.99) – The entry pack offers 5 unique weapons, 3additional characters, the “Golden Sprocket Hammer” as well as boosters, character & gear points and in-game cash.

• Deadicated Pack ($39.99) – The “Deadicated Pack” includes all of the“Patient Zero Pack” plus additional content: six Tier 2 weapons, the “Golden Precise Shotgun”, the “Keghammer”, a larger booster and bundle of character & gear points and in-game cash plus exclusive access to Sam B as playable character. Additionally, players will also receive even more items & characters once the game heads into Open Beta and then again at the launch phase.

• Contagion Pack ($44.99) – With the “Contagion Pack”, players canspread the Epidemic to their friends.
