[Discussion] Do you think English is....?

English is a crazy language.  its pronunciation is different from it's orthography, i.e. its spelling. for example, 'ough' has a lot of pronunciation, as in 'cough', 'tough', 'brought', 'through', 'though;.  these words, even though have 'ough', but have different pronunciation.  

english grammar is also very different from most asian languages.  besides that, it has a lot of exceptions and irregularities in grammar.  again, for example, you say 'a car, two cars'; yet ' a foot, two feet'.

interestingly, its is the most learned second language in this world.  it is also considered as an international language, either in politics, internet, technologies, computers or arts.  english has penetrated into almost all languages, either korean, chinese, hindi, japanese, french or arabic.  

since we can't escape the reality that english is everywhere, so it is essential for us to learn english.  and, one interesting trivia for you guys, english is the largest language in this world without a regulated body to reagulate it.  interestingly, english has no big regional differences. how it  could be not regulated yet stays regular could be considered a language miracle.

english born and i grew up in english culture environment spoke it wrote it every single day
no hard feelings or looking down on others but certain people they are born to learn it(like force to) similar to our chinese language , if we are born to absorb this language we must chose it no matter what to adopt another language takes time and effort

Learning english means we learn another new language
It's not about essential or not but theres no harm in learning it.
To me learning english is important because it is a global language. Furthermore i am from an english educated family.
If someone speaks to you in english,espeacially those who are working in the service centre when tourist speaks to you in english and you cant answer them, what would you feel? I will feel very disgrace.

If you have heart and passion to learn something, it won't be too hard
