The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association has unveiled the main visual for Tokyo Game Show 2017.
Artist Ippei Gyoubu, who designed the main visuals of previous Tokyo Game Shows, again illustrated the main visual for Tokyo Game Show 2017. The theme for this year’s event is “Come, to experiences beyond reality.”

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has opened its official Tokyo Game Show 2017 website and announced its lineup of playable titles and stage schedule for the late-September event.

Sony noted for all three lists that they consist of information it can announce as of September 12, suggesting more titles may be added after its September 19 pre-Tokyo Game Show 2017 press conference. Its Tokyo Game Show 2017 website also does not list the titles Sony is bringing to the show, noting that details will be announced after September 19.

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia will host “PlayStation LineUp Tour”, an hour-long live show event that will host videos of the latest PlayStation 4 games, on September 10 at 18:30 JST at Tokyo Midtown, the company announced.
The event itself will be “set in a vast universe that represents the world of PlayStation” that invites viewers to “participate as members of a DualShock 4 spaceship’s crew and travel across various planets” as they experience footage of the latest PlayStation 4 games.
PlayStation Plus members and standard Sony Entertainment Network account holders can apply–PlayStation Plus link, standard account link—to be one of 155 users chosen to attend the event. For everyone else, the event will be live streamed.
While not specifically stated, it seems likely that this is a new format for Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia’s annual pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference. Capcom has opened its Tokyo Game Show 2018 website and announced its lineup of exhibiting titles, as well as a Monster Hunter: World tournament that will take place at the event.
• Devil May Cry 5 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – Playable, Stage Event, Live Stream
Playable on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and with Japanese voice-overs.
• Mega Man 11 (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC) – Playable, Stage Event, Live Stream
Playable on both PlayStation 4 and Switch, with four stage choices and three difficulty options.
• Resident Evil 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – Playable, Stage Event, Live Stream
Attendees can choose to play as Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield.
• Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC) – Playable, Stage Event, Live Stream
All 12 titles within the collection are playable.

Monster Hunter: World Dream Match at Tokyo Game Show 2018
On September 23, on the main stage at the Capcom booth, Capcom will host the Monster Hunter: World Dream Match at Tokyo Game Show 2018, where the five hunter teams who have won the Monster Hunter: World tournaments held in the Japan, Korea, America, Taiwan, and Hong Kong regions will gather and challenge two new “Dream Match” quests. A winner will be decided based on each team’s clear times of the two quests.
Each Dream Match quest will be available for everyone who owns Monster Hunter: World to challenge starting August 24 at 09:00 JST and ending September 28 at 08:59 JST. The two quests are as follows:
Challenge Quest: “Monster Hunter: World Event: Chaos and the End of Law”
• Hunter Rank: 16 or higher
• Field: Arena
• Weapons: Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Insect Glaive, and Light Bowgun
• Monster: Bazelgeuse
