射击新作《超速日落》最新预告 今年秋季发售
日前，微软和Insomniac Games发布了动作射击新作《超速日落(Sunset Overdrive)》的最新预告片，也是第一次放出该作的游玩影像。发行方同时确认本作将于2014年秋季登陆XBOX ONE平台。
《超速日落》故事发生在2027年，一场由能量饮料造成的突变爆发，游戏中玩家可以使用Insomniac的各种奇葩武器拯救世界了。Insomniac称，这款游戏他们至少构思了20年。就像《丧尸围城3》、《罗马之子》和《极限竞速5》在XBOX ONE上发售时一样，游戏将会推出DAY ONE版(类似于日版的初回版，即游戏第一次出版的版本)，买到DAY ONE版的玩家将会得到三款独特的武器和装备奖励。

官方通过推特透露了本作的一些新消息，其中他们确认本作的战役模式仅支持一位玩家进行游戏，并没有合作游戏的内容。不过期待多人游戏的玩家也不用失望，因为他们还会推出多人模式，并将在该模式中提供一些“独特的内容”。目前官方并没有关于这两个模式的详情，具体细节还有待公开，请玩家们耐心等待后续报道。

Hey everyone,
We hope you enjoyed all the awesome coverage of Sunset Overdrive yesterday. We’re so blown away and grateful for the response we’ve received. If you haven’t had a chance to read Edge Magazine’s AMAZING cover story (with exclusive screenshots and artwork as well), you can still grab the digital issue here! And check out our blog here which recaps all the online coverage as well.
Today we’re going to be taking the going into more detail on the box art of the game. You may have caught a glimpse of the box art at the end of yesterday’s First Look video (and if you haven’t seen that video, drop everything and watch it now!).
Box art (and art in general) is always a hot topic, sparking passion and debate as folks have wildly different preferences and tastes. Many times the game box and art is the only physical representation of a game you own and love. So we figured you might want to hear about the artist and our process for what we think is a terrific piece of art, and one we’re proud to use to introduce people to Sunset Overdrive.
Fortunately we had some amazing firepower on our side. Every project we usually have a list of dream artists we’d love to work with. For Resistance 3 we worked with Olly Moss, which led us to this spectacular box art. For Sunset Overdrive, we really wanted to work with ilovedust, a graphic design studio based on the south coast of England. They’ve worked with Nike, Red Bull, Wired, and many more. We’ve loved their work from a distance, and thought they fit the game’s art style. When we met them, it was clear they didn’t just understand Sunset Overdrive, they truly got us and our mindset. It was a perfect match.
When we all set out to create a box art for Sunset Overdrive, we knew we had a major challenge ahead of us. First, Sunset Overdrive isn’t a character-forward game. The character in Sunset Overdrive is YOU. You’ll customize your character and play as yourself. So the cover couldn’t really solely focus on just a game-style rendered character and weapon [today's “standard” videogame cover].
That presented the second challenge – how do we present not just the world of Sunset City, but also the characters and factions that inhabitant it? Now, for all you minimalism loving folks, this will hurt, as we quickly decided the best way to show all of the variety and build the world was to go for a dense, detailed illustration. (But you should check out ilovedust’s awesome minimal Chemical Smile image that we used a tease at E3 2013)
ilovedust set out to create a densely layered composition that not only showed a hero character/weapon but also the rest of the world of Sunset Overdrive (And there’s actually additional hero characters traversing!). This is the result, one that uses dust’s unique style, while also staying true to Sunset Overdrive’s color palette and world.
There’s a ton of detail packed into the cover, here’s some of the larger elements on the cover (which doesn’t even get into all the tiny hidden details!):
• Hero Character with Roman Candle gun. This was one of the tougher parts, as showing any sort of “hero” in a game where YOU are the hero and can play as male or female, various body types, and tons of customization options, means you probably won’t see this guy in your game much.
• OD, Overcharge Drinkers. Multiple varieties of OD in the mutant OD horde.
• Survivors. Other residents of Sunset City who didn’t drink Overcharge Delirium XT that you’ll meet during the game.
• Scab. The human ne’er-do-wells who are taking the opportunity to loot and plunder Sunset City.
• Effects. Fourth wall breaking effects from the Scab’s gun.
• Fizzie. Fizzco’s corporate mascot insisted on being on the box cover! He’s impossible to resist, as you’ve seen on Twitter so far. Check out his robot blimp hovering menacingly in the clouds.
• Game logo. ilovedust’s logo for the game, in bright Overcharge Orange.
As always, you’ll see this artwork in a lot of places besides just the box, and as such ilovedust created a larger version for horizontal use that incorporates even more elements and characters.
We’re really excited about this box art. Working with ilovedust was a dream for us, and they helped deliver something that’s different than anything out there. It’s an insane illustration, and one we think you’ll grow to appreciate more as you get to know the world of Sunset Overdrive even better.

Sunset Overdrive Is 8 Times Crazier With Friends
“Sunset Overdrive” is already one of the highlights of E3, and that's just from seeing the single-player portion. But we got a chance to sit down with the eight-way multiplayer, Chaos Squad, as well, and it really solidifies the game as one of the most bombastic, wacky, and hilarious titles at the show. Everything you can do in single-player – grinding on rails, performing acrobatic tricks, and blowing so much stuff up – is available in multiplayer. So, take the single-player madness, and multiply by eight.
Set up as a series of missions with different objectives in the open world, multiplayer culminates in a defensive enemy-at-the-gates Night Defense mode, which is what we got to play. Players work together to set traps and inflict mayhem, to fend off waves of enemies before they devour the tanks of energy drink you're protecting.
To be honest, "Sunset Overdrive" is so wonderfully frenetic that it can be a little overwhelming at first. But once your brain catches up to the craziness after a minute you fall into a perfect gameplay groove: grinding along rails, hitting explosive traps to take out a whole group of baddies, then performing a series of tricks to snag more power-ups for the next wave.
We stuck to the rails high up, doing perimeter sweeps with propane-tank explosives. Down below, another player set off explosives around the map to thin the herds of monsters rushing towards us. Meanwhile, another player posted up high and picked off the bigger enemies that tried to come along the side. “Sunset Overdrive” lets you play in your style, and together we all kept the bad guys at bay. All along the way, we were earning power-ups and costume items that could be used not only in multiplayer matches, but also in single-player.
The Night Defense portion of “Sunset Overdrive’s” Chaos Squad multiplayer feels like Insomniac took the over-the-top weapons they’re known so well for, crammed it in a blender with “Jet Set Radio,” and then poured that mess all over an awesome tower defense game. It's incredibly addictive, rewarding, fast-paced, and most of all, really fun to play. This is how co-op multiplayer should be, and we can't wait to play more.

More about Chaos Squad
• Choose Your Chaos Wisely – The amount of Chaos is what determines the difficulty of your team’s final Night Defense. The higher your Chaos– the tougher your Night Defense is going to be, but you’ll get more chances to receive cool rewards at the end. The amount of Chaos you have will depend on which missions you voted for leading up to Night Defense. Take a mission with a lot of chaos to increase difficulty and potential rewards? Or take a mission with a team boost to make the group more likely you succeed?
• Go straight from campaign to chaos-squad, in game – So, you’re leaping around Sunset City in single-player and your friend/acquaintance invites you to join her Chaos Squad. You drop off a grind rail, strut up to the nearest future photo booth, and enter. You’ll go straight into multiplayer with the same clothing, same amps, same everything as your character from the single-player campaign
• Vote on missions in the open-world – At the start, you and your rag-tag band are going to get two mission options to vote on. You conquer it, two new ones crop up. And they’ll have different objectives and be in separate locations from the first round. So, the result is that each Chaos Squad experience feels unique as you’re going through the open-world.After a few rounds of voting and slaying and Chaos or boost getting – it’s time for your team to face the main event: Night Defense.
• Night Defense – This is where you will fend off enemies and protect your vats of Overcharge at one of many forts across the city by not only using your weapons, traversal, and amps – but by placing traps, as well. Before each wave – you’ll have a bit of time to place your traps, but if you made a horrible calculation, you can move and place them during the waves, as well.
And then – the enemies attack. And what comes next is an assault of 8 players simultaneously jumping, shooting, grinding, and exploding nearly every damn thing in sight. Each wave brings an increasingly difficult and new variety of enemies to your door. And, remember, the more Chaos you gathered in the open-world missions – the harder it’s going to be.
• Rewards for your character you can take back to campaign! – But! Your reward output is based on your Chaos. So, if you manage to survive with a large amount of Chaos – you’re going to get way more chances at better rewards than the wuss teams who took team boosts instead of Chaos.

日前游戏舅舅党传闻Insomniac Games将和微软联合推出同捆《日落过载》的XBOX ONE特别版套装，外媒也针对此事询问了Insomniac Games的工作人员，而他们并不避讳此传闻并告知玩家们“敬请期待”。
早在今年二月的时候，NeoGAF论坛上就有会员泄露，微软会在E3上宣布白色XBOX ONE同捆《日落过载》的套装会在10月推出。E3上证实传闻为假，那么E3之后是否会有动静，我们值得期待。

本作的季票售价为19.99美元，该季票将收录游戏中的前三个DLC包，其中包含6套角色服装、新武器、新的剧情和挑战内容等，具体细节如下：
两个游戏DLC包：其中包含可以探索的新场景、新的故事以及全新的BOSS战。每个DLC君包含新的武器、陷阱和角色服装等，此外玩家们还可以尝试进行有趣的新挑战。

Sunset Overdrive Live Action Trailer Coming Soon
Cool Guys Don’t Look at Explosions
Hey everyone,
Marcus Smith, the creative director of Sunset Overdrive here! We’ve been working hard to put the explosive final touches on our live action trailer. This has been a huge shoot for us, involving taking over the backlot and turning it into a real-life version of colorful Sunset City.
To give you a sneak peek of the trailer, we wanted to share some photos from the set. You can see how amazing it looks. We’re totally going to put that Sexburger sign in the office when we’re done.
The props are perfect too, including the dozens of innocent teddy bears eagerly waiting their turn to be launched into dynamite-propelled heaven. And wouldn’t you know it, Fizzie demanded screen time too. Talk about an inflated ego.

Well, Xbox and Insomniac Games fans, daydream no longer. The Xbox marketing team drank a little too much Overcharge Delirium XT, and are teaming up with Discovery Digital Networks’ SourceFed, SourceFedNERD, RatedRR and The Vloggity to launch “Week of Explosions”: a series of videos featuring your favorite YouTube stars exploding a variety of real-life objects inspired by Sunset Overdrive, from cans of Overcharge to TNTeddies to a massive Fizzie parade balloon or a full-size Mutant Transportation Vehicle filled with terrifying mutants.
The best part? You get to choose what you’d like to see blown up for the grand finale of “Week of Explosions” on October 28. Just go to xbox.com/sunsetoverdrive and tell us your pick (#BlowUpFizzie or #BlowUpMutants). The first 100,000 fans who vote will receive a limited edition in-game outfit:

Here’s the full schedule for “Week of Explosions”:
• Tuesday, Oct. 21: "SourceFedPLAYS… with Explosions!” – a special target practice competition with exploding cans of Overcharge, featuring RatedRR’s Richard Ryan and SourceFed hosts Sam, Matt and Joe.
• Wednesday, Oct. 22: “Boom Cloud” – Richard and the top two finalists from the shoot-off rig up some Det Cord to create a real-life mushroom cloud explosion that spells “BOOM,” just like the game.
• Sunday, Oct. 26: “Teddy Bear Rain” – the remaining two hosts face off in a head-to-head shoot-off, this time targeting explosive TNTeddies. The first person to hit all five targets will trigger the explosion of a giant pile of TNTeddies – and give a whole new meaning to “make it rain.”
• Tuesday, Oct. 28: “Grand Finale Explosion” – which unfortunate object will meet its spectacularly explosive demise – the Fizzie parade balloon or the Mutant Transportation Vehicle? Tune in to RatedRR to find out…
