指环王游戏新作《指环王 中土大陆：魔都阴影》公布
华纳日前公布了一款指环王次世代平台新作《指环王 中土大陆：魔都阴影》。《中土大陆：魔都阴影》是一款第三人称动作游戏，预计登陆PC、PS3、PS4、Xbox360和XboxOne平台，但没有提及WiiU平台。
该游戏设定在霍比特人与指环王之间，玩家扮演Talion，一个被索隆杀害的游侠。他被神灵复活，并给予了幽灵能力来进行复仇任务。在这途中他还会了解到魔戒的起源等信息。

Interactive Entertainment today announced Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor , a next-generation, third-person action game set in Middle-earth that explores an original story of vengeance and redemption. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is in development for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC.
In Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, gamers take on the role of Talion, a valiant ranger whose family is slain in front of him the night Sauron and his army return to Mordor, moments before his own life is taken. Resurrected by a Spirit of vengeance and empowered with Wraith abilities, Talion ventures into Mordor and vows to destroy those who have wronged him. Through the course of his personal vendetta, Talion uncovers the truth of the Spirit that compels him, learns the origins of the Rings of Power and ultimately confronts his true nemesis.
“In Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, players will explore the dark and very personal theme of vengeance in a world where decisions have a consequence, and those consequences persist even after death,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “The game introduces new gameplay mechanics to the action genre, creating opportunities for emergent and customized gameplay that will be rewarding for players.”
Every enemy that players face is a unique individual, differentiated by their personality, strengths and weaknesses. Through the Nemesis System, enemy relationships and characteristics are shaped by player actions and decisions to create personal archenemies that remember and adapt to the player and are distinct to every gameplay session. Gamers are able to craft their own battles, enemies and rewards within the dynamic world that remembers and adapts to their choices, delivering a unique experience to every player.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is under development by Monolith Productions. The team has collaborated with Middle-earth Enterprises, Peter Jackson and the artists at Weta Workshop to ensure that the settings, characters and story align authentically within canon.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor details
Details from Game Informer’s Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor cover story have emerged. You can find a detailed summary, courtesy of NeoGAF, below.
-Every enemy has a name, rank and memory. If you don’t kill them in an encounter for whatever reason they will remember you later on and change their tactics, not only getting stronger in level but learning new immunities. Enemy dialogue changes because of your previous encounters as well.
-Enemies have their own jobs to do and their AI allows them to do certain things on their own. For example an Orc you have to kill may be dueling another at one point or he may be doing whatever his higher ranking officer assigned him to do. It all progresses in real time with or without your interference.
-If an enemy kills you in battle you don’t “die” in the traditional sense. You do eventually respawn but time in the world passed (they didn’t say how long). During this time the enemy that killed you was likely promoted because of him killing you or he could have been killed somehow (like losing one of the duels I mentioned above).
-If your objective is to kill a high ranking warlord you can do it in several ways. One way would be chipping away at everyone under his rank and either killing them or making them become “agents” for you which will enable you to launch ambushes on their base or possibly even assassinate the warlord by making his 2nd in command your agent. However it’s not guaranteed, the 2nd in command can fail and be killed but he may have partial success as well which takes a chunk of the warlord’s health away to make your battle easier.
-The combat seems like it takes cues from the Batman games. They mentioned there was a rhythm to it and you get to keep a combo multiplier going.
-It’s fully open world so it has all of the stuff you’d expect. XP, skills, sidequests, random events (hell the whole game is basically a random event with that nemesis system and the AI working on their own even when enemies aren’t on screen).
-You get to use normal melee combat, stealth with a dagger or ranged with a bow. How you level those up depends on what you took the target out with. A stealth kill will get you a special rune to use on stealth skills, direct combat will get you a melee rune and so on.

《中土世界：魔多阴影》对指环王小说“充满敬意”
首席编剧Christian Cantamessa向玩家承诺，他们的新游戏不会偏离托尔金笔下的世界太远。

《中土世界：魔多阴影》敌人拥有高智商
最近，英国PlayStation官方杂志发表了《中土世界：魔多阴影》的游戏设计师迈克尔·德·普莱特（Michael de Plater）对游戏的一些看法。在文章中，普莱特谈到了游戏复杂的对手AI系统，并承诺大家将会在本作中遭遇到前所未有难缠的兽人和其他生物。

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions today revealed the Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Gameplay - Weapons and Runes video, showcasing how to upgrade Talion’s abilities throughout the game.
In addition, a number of new UK retail pre-order exclusives have been announced, with the details to be revealed in due course;
• Deadly Archer Rune - Talion will deal extra damage when executing ranged headshots against Sauron’s Captains
• Flame of Arnor Rune - Talion can ignite his blade by achieving a high combo count and incinerate his enemies

From the very beginning, all of us here at Monolith Productions knew we had to go to great lengths to make Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor as authentic as possible. From the landscape, to the weapons, to the inhabitants, to the architecture — everything required extreme attention to detail, and our main story was no exception.
To make the story of Talion and the mysterious Wraith he’s connected to a reality, we worked with Lead Designer and Writer Christian Cantamessa (Red Dead Redemption). And to bring our Ranger of The Black Gate to life, we could think of none better than the esteemed Troy Baker (The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite, Batman: Arkham City). Together, we’re shaping this new tale set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions released the Shadow of Mordor Gameplay – The Wraith trailer, offering an all-new look inside the gameplay of the highly anticipated action game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. This trailer delves into the powers of the Wraith, who was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con to be Celebrimbor, the greatest Elven smith of the Second Age.
Talion and the Wraith
After being slaughtered alongside his family at the Black Gate, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s protagonist, Talion awakes as if from a long slumber and must put the pieces together as to why he has been denied the peace of death.
Talion realises he is inhabited by a mysterious Wraith, who is revealed to be Celebrimbor, the greatest Elven Smith of the Second Age. Celebrimbor was deceived by Sauron into working with him to forge the Rings of Power. After they made the Rings, Sauron betrayed and murdered Celebrimbor as well as his family in circumstances that mirror the death of Talion and his family. This connection unites the two heroes in their pursuit of the Dark Lord.
Who is Celebrimbor?
• One of the most powerful elves of the Second Age
• He was responsible for crafting the Rings of Power alongside Sauron
• Celebrimbor was murdered by Sauron. The spirits of the Elves are immortal within Middle-earth, so Celebrimbor chose not to return to the Undying Lands after he was killed
• Celebrimbor wants to destroy the Dark Lord; as Sauron does not have the One Ring, Celebrimbor can become powerful enough to challenge him within Mordor.
• The power of Celebrimbor, as the maker of the Rings, is very closely tied with the power of the Rings

原定9 月30 日在北美、10 月3 日在欧洲推出的动作冒险新作《中土世界：暗影魔多（Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor）》，其发行商Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment 9 日宣布，PS3 与Xbox 360 版本由于需要更多的开发时间，因此将延期至11 月18 日/ 21 日分别在北美/ 欧洲地区发行。而PS4 与Xbox One 两大新世代机种版本仍将如期发售。至于PC 版本则会于9 月30 日于全球同步推出。

《中土世界：暗影魔多》是由曾开发了《极度恐慌》以及多人连线竞技游戏《中土守护者》的Monolith Productions负责制作的新作，其对应平台为PS3、PS4、XBOX 360、XBOX One和PC。此前游戏已经正式发售，而日前官方则为游戏的PS4版和XBOX One版推出了更新补丁，为本作增加了全新的拍照模式。玩家们可以在游戏选项中设置该模式，并通过按下左摇杆来对游戏场景进行快照。
不过需要注意的是，该模式本身并不具有保存图片的功能，因此想要保存截图的话需要依赖主机本身的功能。因此目前该模式在XBOX One是无用的，而在PS4平台则可以正常使用并存储截图。

Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions today revealed new details about Lord of the Hunt, the first DLC expansion pack for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, available for purchase and to Season Pass holders later this year. In Lord of the Hunt, Sauron has dispatched lethal Beastmaster Warchiefs to exterminate the monsters of Mordor. Talion will join Torvin the Dwarven Hunter and use his powers of Domination to turn these menacing new beasts against the Warchiefs, proving that Mordor cannot be tamed.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – Free New Character Skin and Challenge Mode
Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces the FREE Power of Defiance bundle including the new Lithariel character skin, Challenge Mode and Epic Rune for acclaimed action game, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The Power of Defiance bundle will be available via a free content update today for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam.
With the new character skin, players become Lithariel, the Warrior Commander of the Tribesmen of Nurn, and lead the charge against the Dark Lord Sauron and his troops. They can test their survival skills in the new Test of Defiance Challenge Mode.
The free Power of Defiance bundle includes the following upgrades
• Play as Lithariel, daughter of Lady Marwen, Queen of Nurn
• Test of Defiance Challenge Mode – Players face the ultimate test to their warrior prowess as they defeat Sauron’s Warchiefs without cheating death or relying on the power of the Wraith.
• Epic Rune - Defiant to the End: Players gain an additional Last Chance to return to the fray in combat.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor delivers a dynamic game environment where the player orchestrates their personal plan of vengeance as they bend Mordor to their will. The game begins on the night of Sauron’s return to Mordor, as his Black Captains brutally execute the Rangers of the Black Gate. Players become Talion, a ranger who loses his family and everything he holds dear, only to be returned from death by a mysterious Spirit of vengeance. Based on the player’s actions with the in-game Nemesis System, every enemy encountered is distinct and can evolve to become a personal archenemy through the course of the game. As Talion’s personal vendetta unfolds, players uncover the mystery of the Spirit that compels him, discover the origin of the Rings of Power and confront the ultimate nemesis.

《中土世界：魔多之影》DLC「狩猎之王」影片出炉
以《魔戒（The Lord of Ring）》中土世界做为背景的动作角色扮演游戏《中土世界：魔多之影》，日前在官方的 YouTube 频道上公开了追加下载内容「狩猎之王（Lord of the Hunt）」的介绍影片。
这次的 DLC 将收录许多包括任务和挑战模式在内的全新要素其中也不乏新的怪物以及角色外型，玩家将可在新的剧本中和猎人托尔文（Torvin）并肩作战，再次与索隆的兽人大军进行厮杀。

In The Bright Lord, players become Celebrimbor and face the Dark Lord himself. 发行商 Warner Bros 今日正式宣布，于 2014 年推出的 Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor《中土世界：魔多之影》这款勇夺当年年度最佳动作游戏的作品，即将推出「Game of the Year 年度版」，以完整版游戏的售价一次附上推出至今的所有额外下载内容。
目前《中土世界：魔多之影》年度版预计于 Xbox One、PS4 与 PC 平台上登场，但声明中并未提到 Xbox 360 等上个世代平台版本。 而年度版的内容将包含 2 个故事扩充剧情、6 个主角的造型、9 个额外符文、7 个挑战模式。
