Idea Factory's statement about the decision to censor Monster Monpiece
Idea Factory International is fully aware of the concerns expressed by fans, so we would like to inform everyone about the censored images in greater detail.
Monster Monpiece is a card battle game, in which players summon various “Monster Girls” onto the game’s battlefields and then fight their opponents. These cards—meaning the “Monster Girls”—are able to be powered up by exposing themselves (taking off their clothes) via the level-up features called First Crush Rub and Extreme Love. We kept the same number of cards in the game as the original Japanese version, but replaced some of the higher level Monster Girl images with the “less exposed” lower level versions of the corresponding Monster Girls due to some intense sexual imagery. The number of censored cards is about 40 out of the approximately 350 card images available in the game. This means that over 300 cards are left untouched from the original images. That said, each card that has had its image removed will still have the same number of levels for the player to increase, but the higher level card images will be the same as the lower level, even though they have leveled up and have become more powerful. We would like to emphasize that the game’s playtime, the game’s system, and the game’s features are all the same as the original Japanese release, and players can level up their Monster Girls to the highest levels as well, again, matching the Japanese release.
This was a very difficult decision since we work very hard to satisfy our fans and want to bring the same content being offered in Japan. However, Western society is not as lenient as that of Japan when sexual images are involved—especially images of humanoids that appear to be younger than a socially acceptable age. The borderline of what is “acceptable” will always be extremely gray and vary from person to person, but as a responsible company working in the U.S., we had to make the difficult decision that we did. We sincerely apologize for those who do not agree with any level of censorship, but we greatly appreciate your understanding with the decision we have made.
About the rating differences between North America (ESRB, Mature) and Europe (PEGI, 12)
The reason for the difference in these ratings is simply the difference in the rating system between ESRB and PEGI. We received a Mature rating for Monster Monpiece from the ESRB with the censored material we submitted. However, for PEGI, and with the same material assets for their review, they rated it 12+ because of the minimal amount of violence shown in the game. We appreciate your understanding with these rating differences.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight Out Today on PS3
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! It’s me, The Great Doodini (aka David) from NIS America, and I’d like to perform a magic trick — I mean illusion — for you! For my first act, I’ll pull a Prinny from this hat! Oh wait, it looks like this one’s exploded already… Looks like that’s the end of that act.
Well, no worries, because I know someone who’s a lot more magical than I am, and today’s your lucky day because you get to hang out with her. Her name’s Metallia, and she puts the “witch” in The Witch and the Hundred Knight on PS3, which is out today at retail and as a digital download from PlayStation Store. This is NIS America’s first 3D action RPG, so I’m pretty pumped to tell you all about it!
In The Witch and the Hundred Knight, you play as the legendary Hundred Knight — a demon summoned by the swamp witch Metallia to help her spread all her neon green, swampy badness across the land. Why does she want that? Because even though Metallia’s a witchy woman with a lot of power, she somehow can’t travel beyond the edges of the noxious swamp she calls home. It’s up to you to help her take vengeance on the world, but the more you get to know her, the less of a good idea it seems…
All this vengeance-taking is predicated on you laying down the hammer, and the sword, and the spear… and a bunch of other weapons on any enemy that dares stand in your way. The Hundred Knight may be small, but he packs quite a punch when he can equip up to five different weapons at a time.
Certain enemies may have different immunities and weaknesses, so it’s best to diversify your weapons profile to maximize your damage. Plus, if you combine them in a certain order, you can get damage multipliers. On top of that, you’ve got Tochkas, which are the Hundred Knight’s own special magic skills. He can summon minions of his own, create traps, and perform a plethora of other dark magic to beat down enemies. And if that wasn’t enough, the Hundred Knight can switch between other “facets” at will. These act as classes. The Power Fortress facet, for example, acts as a tank, while the Noble Raptor can convert enemies into allies. Looks like the Hundred Knight has got a lot more up his demon sleeve than me and my exploding Prinny in a hat trick…
These are only some of the systems in the game — I haven’t even touched on Gigacals, which is the energy you need to do anything. The more running and fighting you do in a level, the more you burn through your Gigacals. You can recover Gigacals by eating food you find or getting an enemy’s health low enough and chomping down on them.
There’s also the ability to raid village houses for items and boosts, but then you risk having the villagers turn against you forever. And it wouldn’t be an NIS America game if you couldn’t enhance your weapons in the Bucket List!
What do you say, folks? Why not give a hand to Metallia and her assistant The Hundred Knight? You’ve seen the customizable weapon combos, magic skills, personality changes, and all sorts of systems. Idea Factory International is excited to announce that Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, a new installment of the long-loved fan favorite RPG series, Hyperdimension Neptunia, will be released on PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system in the North American and European markets in the late summer of this year. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 is a remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia, which was previously released for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system in 2011. Story
Gamindustri: One of many parallel universes protected by four goddesses known as CPUs. Long ago, these four CPUs engaged in a war for supremacy known as the War of the Guardians. However, this war weakened their protective hold on the world inhabited by their people, and in turn it was flooded by monsters under the influence of an individual known as Arfoire.
During the War of the Guardians, one of the CPUs—Neptune—was defeated by the others and hurled down to the world’s surface from the heavens. The drop caused Neptune to lose her memories, as learned by Compa and IF, who happen upon the fallen girl. A mysterious book containing knowledge of all Gamindustri’s history suddenly speaks out to Neptune, Compa, and IF. With the assistance of this sentient book, the trio embark on an extraordinary journey across four different nations on a quest to save the entire world!

Long ago, a dreadful war was fought between the Goddess and the Vile God. Characters can be combined with 23 various arcana (celestial beings) who give players more freedom in how their favorites fight (a total of 529 different combinations!). A young woman who calls herself Ramlethal Valentine has declared war against the world. Not a single individual, organization, or countries took this declaration as a laughing matter. Because of the prior “Baptism 13 Incident,” during which the capital of the Illyria Kingdom suffered a violent assault, the attacker also referred to herself as “Valentine.” Now, to make sure of the truth of the matter, the world must take action.
Network Mode
With the home console release, you can play online against players across the country. Cross-platform play will allow PlayStation 4 owners and PlayStation 3 owners the ability to play together. Additionally, both versions of the game can share save data and trophies.
Tutorial and Challenge Modes
In the home console release, Arc System Works has not only re-adjusted game modes that appeared in the arcade version, but added new Tutorial and Challenge modes, too.
Tutorial Mode will let newcomers hone their skills and learn how to play. Challenge Mode will let players put to the test the practical operation of their characters.
M.O.M. Mode
M.O.M. Mode, or Medal of Millionaire Mode, is a single-player mode where players fight against AI-controlled characters to earn medals that strengthen your character. Using the medals you obtain, it’s possible to purchase new skills and items in this RPG-like character development mode.
There are plans to support network play in this mode.
New Character(s)
A new character(s) is being added to the home console release. As for which new character(s) is participating, however, you’ll have to wait for a future update.
All existing characters will return, including Ramlethal Valentine, who was added to the arcade version of the game post-launch.

Story
Gamindustri: One of many parallel universes protected by four goddesses known as CPUs. Long ago, these four CPUs engaged in a war for supremacy known as the War of the Guardians. So turns out I was right. I’m not even going to feign surprise now – Steins Gate PS Vita and PS3 are coming 2015. A couple of weeks ago I’d unearthed some compelling evidence that PQube were going to be bringing Steins;Gate to consoles, although I wasn’t quite sure which consoles it would be coming to. This evening PQube got in touch with their official announcement – and while it doesn’t go into detail it confirms that The Awesome is actually happening.
Here’s the important bit of their release below.

I should probably reiterate – as the press release does – that Steins;Gate really is a remarkable piece of work. It’s a visual novel of course – and with that always comes a little scepticism from so many people, but it’s heartening to see that changing with the likes of Danganronpa.
Steins;Gate follows the exploits of a group of friends who find a way to send text messages into the past – and then have to deal with the consequences of their meddling. If you’re one of the many who have recently started reading stuff like Virtues Last Reward or Danganronpa, then you’ll be pleased to know that Steins;Gate is an order of magnitude better than both those titles and, frankly, the finest Visual Noel I’ve ever read. I, for one, am MASSIVELY hyped that this is coming.
Also, I’ve noticed that Rice Digital currently have this listed online for notification – which suggests to me that this will be getting a physical release? I’m guessing Rice’s management know something I don’t? If you’re interested in a physical release – then my money’s on these Steins Gate PS Vita and PS3 listings being where you’ll find out first.

Introducing the Story of The Awakened Fate Ultimatum
Just another day in the life of a high school student — wake up, go to school, walk back home, get stabbed in the heart by some demons, become a god... No big deal.
If that sounds familiar to you, then you must live quite an exciting life. But for those who haven’t become a god, you can in NIS America’s new PS3 game The Awakened Fate Ultimatum, coming out on March 17th in North America.
Guide ordinary high school student Shin Kamikaze (super epic name) as he learns the ropes of being god in The Awakened Fate Ultimatum. While sleeping on the school’s rooftop, Shin has a cryptic dream with a mysterious girl babbling about fate and saving the world, but is suddenly woken up by his friend.
Thinking nothing of the weird dream, he heads home, but gets stopped by a group of demons flying down from the sky. One of the demons looks at him, apologizes, and then proceeds to stab him in the chest. As he’s dying, an angel swoops down to fight off the demons and takes him off to a place called Celestia. Awaking to a red-headed scientist named Ariael, he is told that the Awakened Fate crystal has been shoved into his chest to save his life, which has made him a god. Now it’s his job to fight in the war between angels and devils, and determine the fate of the world!
This story-based roguelike RPG looks and feels similar to its predecessor, The Guided Fate Paradox. As Shin, you will jump into randomly generated dungeons, battle angels and demons, and collect items to survive each grid-based level. In these dungeons, every move counts. Your enemies will move when you do, so strategizing your approach to each level is key. Just don’t die — when you die, you’ll start from the beginning of the dungeon and lose all the items you were carrying.
After fighting through all the levels of a dungeon, you are forced to make “Ultimate Choices” and must live with the consequence of those choices. Depending on the decision, you will be granted either angel or devil Choice Points (aka CP), which are used in the wing-shaped skill tree. In addition to equipping different items, you are able to customize Shin’s permanent stats and special skills by applying CP to either side of the skill tree. Go all angel powers or all devil powers — it’s your choice!
The amazing art for this game is done by the one and only Noizi Ito, the artist behind anime like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan no Shana. Characters are high-resolution 3D sprites, perfect for the ridiculously over-the-top special attack animations. Not only will you see these gorgeous images in the attacks, you’ll get to enjoy them featured in the special scenes throughout the game.
While being a god is cool, do you think you can make the ultimate decision? Will you side with the angels, lead the devils, or toe the line? And in the end — when faced with the death of the two girls you’re closest to — who will you save and who will fall?

Story

The kingdom of Romulea is in peril. Monsters are leaking out of every nook and cranny in the land, and to make matters worse, they have started an uprising against humanity. Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Arrives September 1st (September 4th in Europe)
364. That’s how many days between Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair’s launch and September 1st, the day you’ll finally be able to get your hands on Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls in North America — exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.
If you played the first two Danganronpa games, then I’m sure you’ve been waiting with bated breath for the third entry in the series. And if you’re one of those poor souls who never played a Danganronpa game, well then… it just might be time to join dis bear! Still not excited? I think our new trailer will scare you straight.
The first two Danganronpa games had a slower pace. You weren’t running away from robotic bears. You were combing through rooms for clues, deciphering suspects’ words for inaccuracies, and shooting out Truth Bullets to pinpoint murderers. This new episode in the lauded Danganronpa series brings its deep and twisted storytelling to a new genre.
Unafraid of Action
This time, you’re playing as Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa as they try desperately to escape a city filled with despair. Komaru has been equipped with a megaphone — a hacking gun — that generates Truth Bullets which you’ll use to defeat Monokumas and manipulate puzzles while racing through the streets searching for answers.
The situations you find yourself in are varied and intense. Luckily you’ll have a whole host of Truth Bullets at your disposal as you make your way through the terror that fills Towa City. You may find yourself caught in an alley with no escape only to make use of Dance to create a rockin’ (Scary?) dance party. Of course, sometimes you may find it best to create some chaos by chaining together targets with the electric power of Paralyze, and then lighting them aflame with Burn.
And then there’s Toko. Armed with her own madness, the way she clears a path can be a touch… crazy. Using a stun gun, she can force herself to switch personalities and become Genocide Jack. I don’t know about you, but a nigh-invincible mad woman wielding scissors that can tear robotic bears to bits scares the bear-jeezus out of me.
Scarily Engaging
A lot of shooters have a tendency to overlook the story, or make it almost impossible to really become invested in the characters as you race about shooting everything in sight. Danganronpa Another Episode has changed up the pacing enough that both the story and the characters really stand out.
Between a mix of puzzles, battling Monokumas, and expertly written exposition sequences, it’s actually hard to not become lost in the struggle between hope and despair. Like the first two games, I’ve written off seemingly wonky characters at first blush, only to find myself rooting for them later, or hating them intensely thanks to how well they’re written. Characters are likable and real — if sometimes completely off their rockers.
You’ll be able to join the despair that is Danganronpa Another Episode on September 1st when it hits retail and PlayStation Stores. Until then, you can join NIS America on Twitch on Tuesday, June 23rd for a first look at the game.

Widely regarded by fans as the best entry in the franchise, Earth Defense Force 2 is making its way to the western hemisphere for the very first time with this greatly expanded remake. In Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space, players will take the role of one of three distinct military classes and fend off hordes of invading giant insects from a third-person perspective by way of conventional weaponry, armored vehicles, jetpacks, air strikes, trip mines, energy weapons, and more. This definitive version of the game will arrive in North America for the PS Vita with a number of improvements and additions including up to four-player online co-op, an entirely new Air Raider class, and a new English dub.
Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair

The wild sci-fi action of the Earth Defense Force series comes to the PS4 system for the first time in this complete reimagining of Earth Defense Force 2025, now with silky smooth framerates, beefed-up graphics, and over 50% new content. After selecting from one of four unique playable classes and customizing their weapons, players will lead NPC troops into city-wide battles against hordes of seemingly endless giant bugs, robots, and other colossal enemies. Two players can enjoy local co-op and versus modes, while online co-op supports up to four players to increase the odds against this massive alien threat.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel

Revealed for the first time in North America, this RPG adventure from Nihon Falcom’s acclaimed The Legend of Heroes franchise, known in Japan as Sen no Kiseki, improves on the series’ formula and features an expertly told storyline that both longtime Trails veterans and newcomers alike can enjoy equally. Taking place on the same continent as fan-favorite Trails in the Sky, Trails of Cold Steel is the first game in the series to tread Erebonian soil and explore the inner political conflicts of this oft-mentioned powerhouse in detail. Onechanbara Z2: Chaos
[Platform: PS4 system; Release: Summer 2015]
The latest iteration of the Onechanbara sexy zombie slayer series ups the ante with two sets of buxom vampire sisters and over a dozen stages of high-octane real-time swordplay featuring hordes of zombies—not to mention wildly inventive methods for dispatching these undead opponents. Players will square off against the undead in various worldwide locations, with limbs and blood flying every which way through physical attacks and acrobatic maneuvers alike, occasionally transforming into demons for short bursts of added power and speed at the cost of life energy. Each of the four members of the so-called “bikini zombie squad” has her own unique abilities, and skillful play is rewarded with orbs that can be exchanged for upgraded weapons and outfits. A new game based on the Japanese PopoloCrois Story comic book series, and a new entry in the wildly successful Bokujo Monogatari farming and life simulation series, now known as Story of Seasons in the West, Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale features both classically-styled turn-based combat and towns full of lively and interesting NPCs who contribute to a heartwarming narrative about friendship, forgiveness and the bounty of the earth that veterans and newcomers alike to either franchise can enjoy equally. The naughty yet very nice ninja girls of the Senran Kagura universe return to Nintendo 3DS in a fresh, new 2.5D side-scrolling brawler. Featuring the series′ trademark high-flying, clothes-ripping battle mechanics, Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson follows the events of Senran Kagura Burst, sending all 12 of the original cast members on another supernatural martial arts adventure through modern Japan. For the first time in the series, shinobi can either fight in pairs, covering each other’s backs and combining special techniques as needed, or fight alone to give their partners time to recover after bouts of intense combat. One player can control both team members, switching back and forth at will, or two players can fight side-by-side in co-op mode.
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus

A mystical phenomenon transports the buxom beauties of Senran Kagura to a parallel dimension to face off against their rivals in a new kind of battle. In this strange world – which resembles a sunny, sandy island paradise – the girls are thrown for another loop as they encounter departed loved ones and ultimately have to decide if they can bear to part from them a second time. The Despair-Ridden Story of Danganronpa Another Episode on PS Vita
Set between Trigger Happy Havoc and Goodbye Despair, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls on PS Vita introduces a number of new faces while bringing back a few familiar ones.
With the horrors from The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History that surrounded Hope’s Peak Academy still overshadowing mankind, the war of despair rages on. Upon discovering Komaru, one of the playable heroines of Danganronpa Another Episode, Byakuya of Future Foundation returns from the first Danganronpa game to save her from the attacking Monokumas. Soon after equipping her with a Hacking Gun to destroy the Monokumas, she is caught by the Warriors of Hope, a band of children who rule over Towa City.
At first, the children seem innocent, mirroring the Ultimate students that Hope’s Peak Academy strives for to become the ray of hope for society. Each of them specializing in their specific strength, the Warriors of Hope identify themselves with various Dragon Quest job classes.
Masaru Daimon starts off, the Li’l Ultimate P.E. and the hero of the Warriors of Hope, who claims to be the leader and is followed by Nagisa Shingetsu, the Li’l Ultimate Social Studies and the sage of the Warriors of Hope. Next introduced is Jataro Kemuri, Li’l Ultimate Art as the priest, and Kotoko Utsugi, the fighter of the Warriors of Hope and Li’l Ultimate Drama. And last but not least, the true leader of the Warriors of Hope and Li’l Ultimate Homeroom, Monaca, who acts as the mage in their band of personas.
The Warriors of Hope are carrying out a revolution against adults in Towa City — they blame the adults for the tragedy and want to eliminate adults to build a utopia for children and become a beacon of hope for all kids. After defending the adults and upsetting Monaca, Komaru is deemed to be one of the “Demons,” which spurs a game called Demon Hunting — a super fun game where the Warriors of Hope fight to see who takes down the demon first.
Guided by Kurokuma, the stylish, Monokuma-like advisor to the Warriors of Hope, the hunt begins. Soon after, Komaru is joined by Toko, a.k.a. Genocide Jack, the other playable heroine, and introduced to Shirokuma and the Resistance who will help you traverse through Towa City to survive. Of course, this heavy story can’t be complete without the humor that only Danganronpa can provide; Komaru’s ordinary girl responses in contrast to Toko’s eccentric thoughts and fantasies give way to lighthearted banter despite running for their lives.
And so, the rest is up to you — how will you escape? Will you survive the attacks by the Warriors of Hope and escape the hordes of Monokumas? Will you find hope or will you fall into the ultimate despair that lies beyond it?

Last year our first 3D Action RPG, The Witch and the Hundred Knight, found its way onto PS3. For those of you who didn’t dip your toes in the swamp, you’ll now have a chance to get down and dirty because this witch is coming to PS4 in The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition on March 1!
f you didn’t spend any time in the swamp last year, this will be the perfect opportunity to get your toes sticky. For those of you who did a little mucking around already, this revival will come jam-packed with new features, shiny new graphics, and of course, the adorable little demon warrior whose name is bound to confuse you at least once, Hundred Knight, all for just $39.99. Now that, my fellow Prinny, is what I call a bargain for a PS4 game.
Oh, you’re curious about the new features I’m talking about? Well, let’s take a quick look!
If you were one of the Prinnies that hopped in and duked it out last year, you’ll be familiar with Metallia. In Revival Edition, you’ll finally be able to take control of the dastardly witch herself and raise Cain in Medea! She has some pretty awesome magic skills to do things like call down lightning, create a vortex to draw in enemies, or summon a massive sword to slice and dice her way through the Tower of Illusion.
Oh, that’s new too! The Tower of Illusion is a nifty way to challenge yourself and gain some sick loot! To enter it, you’ll have to sacrifice a weapon — the stronger the weapon, the more powerful your foes and the better the loot! It’s almost like you’re battling the weapon you sacrificed… Give up a little stick, and it’ll be easy-peasy, but give up a legendary Spear of Sins with some super strong catalyst upgrades, and you might find yourself a touch outclassed. But that’s the fun of a challenge, right?
Those catalysts I mentioned are new, too. In the Tower of Illusion, you’ll be able to gather catalysts like the Concentrated Mana Pearl, which you can combine in the new Alchemy system to boost the stats of your favorite equipment! You can only use a limited number of catalysts on each item though, so be sure to pick the right ones for your playstyle.
Since the game’s graphics have been revamped for the PS4, all these new features will come with a coat of new paint. And speaking of new paint, we’re giving you a chance to help decide just what color paint the game’s box should have!
