Forza Motorsport 5 is an upcoming racing video game developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One video game console.The game is set for release on November 22, 2013. The game was revealed on May 21, 2013 during the Xbox One reveal event with a teaser trailer that showed an orange McLaren P1 racing against a silver McLaren F1.On August 15, 2013, Forza Motorsport 5 Limited Edition was announced, and will include multiple car packs and a VIP membership for the game.
Gameplay
The game will ship with approximately 200 cars from 50 manufacturers and 14 circuits including Spa, Bathurst, and Circuit de la Sarthe. By comparison, Forza Motorsport 4 shipped with approximately 500 cars from 80 manufacturers and 26 circuits. Among the tracks omitted from Forza Motorsport 5 include Nürburgring, Suzuka Circuit, and Sonoma Raceway. The diminished content is due to Microsoft not allowing Turn 10 Studios enough time to remodel all the cars and tracks in order for the game to be released as an Xbox One launch title.There will be monthly Car-Packs including 10 cars each available to buy as Downloadable content (DLC) for the first 12 months after the game's launch.
On September 4, 2013, Bathurst was confirmed.On September 26, the fictional Swiss Alps racetrack and Silverstone Circuit were confirmed to be carrying over from Forza 4.
A pre-E3 teaser video was released featuring in game footage featuring races with cars such as the Ferrari F12berlinetta and Pagani Huayra.
At E3 2013, first-hand gameplay, new features, and cars in "Forza Vista" mode were shown.Also at the event, it was revealed that for the first time in the game's history there would be open-wheel cars including the Dallara DW12 IndyCar and Formula One cars. The McLaren M23 driven by James Hunt and the Ferrari 312T2 driven by Niki Lauda in the 1976 Formula One season.The Lotus E21 driven by Kimi Räikkönen in the 2013 Formula One Season was also revealed on November 5.

索尼在微软XBOX新机发布会前便公布开了《GT赛车6》，游戏的平台则为PS3。虽然山内一典透露在考虑PS4版的《GT赛车6》，但是竞争对手《极限竞速》已经早其一步登上次世代的舞台了。微软第一方工作室正式公布《极限竞速5(Froza Motorsport 5)》将登陆次世代主机XBOX ONE。
发布会上公布了一段《极限竞速5》的宣传视频，游戏的画面非常华丽，远端的背景清晰明亮，赛车的文理细腻到位，光影效果拔群。视频中并未展示游戏实机画面，而制作人也并未介绍太多游戏内容的变化，不过仅仅依靠这画面，这款游戏就值得期待。游戏的具体发售日尚未公布，E3期间应该会有情报放出。

《极限竞速5》每秒60帧 XBOXONE开发不限制
微软工作室高级副总裁Phil Spencer日前接受Edge采访时表示XBOX ONE独占竞速游戏《极限竞速5》游戏将提供每秒60帧画面的实机画面。
Phil Spencer表示XBOX ONE平台游戏没有对游戏最低表现的要求，在XBOX360平台上也是有低于720P分辨率的游戏，我们将给与创作者最好的开发工具帮助其打造最佳游戏体验，我不认为微软应该决定游戏的具体帧数和画面表现。
《极限竞速5》游戏提供每秒60帧画面，但是不同的开发商可以提供不同的表现，给予创作者自由这点非常重要，这个世代的一些美丽游戏并非只是屏幕上像素点的多少。动态捕捉，光影，抗锯齿，所有的一切完美融合才是游戏，我们要给予开发者工具，让他们做出合适的创意抉择。

Turn 10：Xbox One云计算帮助《极限竞速5》提高6倍的AI处理能力

Ask yourself this: what would you do with 600% more brainpower, funnelled to your skull from vast corporate servers? I suspect I'd devote my share to writing better article introductions. Speaking to OXM during our first look at Forza Motorsport 5, Turn 10's studio manager Alan Hartman and creative director Dan Greenawalt have revealed a little of the stress and excitement that accompanies the development of a shiny-shiny launch racer.
"I've been in the business for quite a while I've been leading game teams for 20 years," Hartman told us. "I've been here at Turn 10 for eight. In that time I've figured out the simple secret to running successful teams is creating an environment, a culture, that is safe that is challenging that is a place that attracts the best talent in the world and lets them do their best work.
"That's not terribly unique," he admitted. "It is something I could do anywhere. So why do I do it here? Because it's first party. And first party is so challenging."
As we reported yesterday, Hartman and Greenawalt say Microsoft has never ordered them to make use of this or that platform feature - the developers were "asked" rather than "told" to show players what the console can do. Turn 10, however, feels that it has a responsibility to test Xbox One's mettle, and Forza 5 is thus a fearsomely comprehensive illustration of the new hardware's capabilities.
Hartman went onto highlight "the kind of tools and technology and processes, and business practices we have to put in place to enable all that. That continuous flow of content that is not only a massive amount of content but quality content.
"We've kept the quality up, we've improved the quality year over year of that quantity, and we've kept the cadence. Because if you can't deliver when the platform needs you then it doesn't matter. We have to be there when they need us to showcase the platform."
Forza 5, in conclusion, is "a massive game, a quality game, an innovative game. At launch of the console. It's crazy hard. It's the hardest thing we've ever done. But it's exciting, we're having fun, but it's a huge challenge."
Turn 10 is particularly chuffed at being able to make use of Xbox One's cloud computing support for its much-sung Drivatar AI system, which trades out pre-scripted computer drivers for cloud-stored entities that learn from player behaviour. Greenawalt described the ability to offload such tasks to servers as a "tremendous opportunity".
"When you've got a learning neural network, more computing power is nothing but helpful. Because what you're able to do is process a lot more information, and you don't have to do it in realtime on the box. And that frees up more of the box to be doing graphics or audio or other computational areas."
"So we can now make our AI instead of just being 20%, 10% of the box's capability, we can make it 600% of the box's capability. Put it in the cloud and free up that 10% or 20% to make the graphics better - on a box that's already more powerful than we worked on before."

微软turn10工作室发布一段展示游戏实机画面的《极限竞速5》视频。
视频展示瑞士阿尔卑斯山路赛道，该赛道首次出现在《极限竞速4》中现在在《极限尽速5》中完全重建该赛道。游戏中的生涯模式总共分为8个区，每个区都有自己类型的汽车譬如超跑系，复古系，肌肉车系等。每一个职业赛事都有topgear的三位顶级主持人杰里米·克拉克森，理查德·哈蒙德和詹姆斯·梅解说。
此游戏生涯模式与其他赛车游戏不同的是，其它赛车游戏一般是从低级赛事慢慢的向上不断的提升，但在此游戏中只要当你拥有能参加该赛事的车辆你就可以直接参加该比赛。

The Xbox One Super V8 is, if you're unaware, a bit of a beast. Set to compete at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 this Sunday, this Hulk-green slice of Aussie muscle is seriously bonkers: 640bhp from a 5.0-litre V8, to give a 0-60mph time of 3.3 seconds and top speed of185mph.
It'll be raced by Britain's three-time WTCC champ Andy Priaulx and two-time DTM winner Mattias Ekstrom, but there's one other driver who you'll be able to race against. But he's not The Stig. He's The Stig's Digital Cousin.
Yes, Internet, making his debut in Forza Motorsport 5 is the virtual version of our tame racing driver - though this one's slightly different. He - or it - is allegedly beatable. But only if you're really good. That means you lucky folks who plan on snapping up the shiny new Xbox One and Forza 5 next month will be among the planet's first to take him on.
As you know, Forza 5 will feature the Top Gear test track, rendered in meticulous detail, including the follow-through and Gambon sections. Though the ramshackle shed where we store all of our crisps might not have made the cut.
Still, you'll have in-game commentary from Jeremy, Richard and James on the career modes, and races inspired by Top Gear events, amongst other things.

开发商确认《极限竞速5》发售后有60辆车下载
《极限竞速5》开发商公布了游戏发售后的后续计划，通过退出下载内容来扩展游戏内容，游戏推出之后至少会有60辆车通过下载公开，每个月都有会有新的车辆发布。
总共有六个附加包每个附加包都会有十辆车，价格还未定。每辆车都会有完整的极限竞速体验。你可以环绕观看你的车辆，进入到内部，发动引擎，改变颜色，调整车辆。开发商承诺很快就会公布更多的细节信息。

《极限竞速5》总监坚称微交易是为玩家省时间
Turn 10的创作总监Dan Greenawalt最近公开维护了《极限竞速5》中的微交易。都在采访中，Greenawalt表示游戏的微交易是上一代中微交易的升级版，玩家并不需要花钱来晋级。
Greenawalt说：“我明白看起来是微交易，但是实话说如果你看看免费游戏，他们都会有付费限制的存在，也就是说到一定程度你必须付费。《极限竞速4》中的微交易就不是以此为目的的，本作中也同样不是。
我们并没有付费限制。我们的是加速晋级，这是根据上代一部分有消费能力，不想花时间的玩家的要求而设计的。这类玩家是想玩模拟驾驶的玩家，他们不想玩生涯模式，他们不在乎游戏的这些方面。”
这种说法同索尼的吉田修平维护《GT6》中的微交易的理由相同。同《极限竞速5》不同，《GT6》是系列首款自带微交易的游戏。吉田修平认为游戏的微交易是为了忙碌的玩家设计的。
根据Greenawalt的说法，《极限竞速5》的微交易并不是为了赚钱，而是为了想省时间的玩家而设计的。他认为，很多玩家都没有注意到这点。
他说：“我可以明白玩家会怎样理解微交易，但是我们加入微交易的理由并不是这样的。我们最后才制作货币，免费游戏是不会这样的。免费游戏总是最早设计经济和货币，因为他们需要靠这个赚钱。我们不用微交易来赚钱，我们靠买游戏来赚钱，所以货币并不会带来大量的收入。作为一个创意总监，我们当时想的是给予玩家作弊的可能，但是如果你想作弊，你就要付款，这就给想作弊的玩家做出了界定。”
Greenawalt同时还谈论了Turn 10最近在玩家反馈后调整游戏经济系统的作法。他解释说Turn 10的最终目标就是去创造一个真正的次世代游戏体验，他也承认一路走来遇到很多障碍。
他说：“我们最大的尝试就是晋级，但是当时这个系统并不是为了制造付费限制而制作的。缓慢的升级积累过程不是故意为难玩家，但是我明白玩家会误解，所以我们才利用升级补丁最初了修改。这个设计同前作是一样的。我们现在改变设计是为了玩家。我们的目标是提供一个真正的次世代游戏体验，而一些我们把前作数据转换到本作的方法是错误的。这就是为什么我们要对游戏进行修改。这就是为什么我们把最贵的车的价格从1000万降低到600万，我们想让这款车更容易获得。已经有玩家得到了这几款车，但是所有这些并不是为了稀有度而设计的。我们不想锁定车辆，我们想让玩家付出的时间同得到的车辆成正比。”
微软工作室副总裁Phil Spencer最近表示微软目前还在学习如何在主机游戏中加入微交易。Xbox One游戏《Ryse;罗马之子》和《杀手学堂》中也加入了微交易。Spencer透露，这些游戏中加入了可以让微软监控玩家微交易的销售数据并且理解其原因的系统。

XBOX ONE最热独占游戏是哪款?销量给你答案!日前微软正式宣布，作为XBOX ONE首发游戏的《极限竞速5》截止2013年底全球销量已经突破100万套。
根据Xbox Wire统计，“超过三分之一的玩家在2013年11月22日购买了XBOX ONE主机之后，也一同购买了《极限竞速5》。至2013年底，XBOX ONE一共卖出了300万台。”除了销量之外，有关该作也有一些比较有意思的数据统计，全球玩家在该作[词语过滤-#0048]行驶了6.53亿公里的路程，共参加了超过9400万场比赛，共800万小时的游戏时间，玩家玩过的赛道和挑战超过100万次。

《极限竞速5》是XBOX One的首发游戏之一，同时也是一款非常值得尝试的次世代竞速新作，游戏已经于2013年11月22日发售。在游戏发售后官方每月都会推出新的DLC以增加游戏中的跑车数量，而购买季票的玩家则能够以50美元的价格获得6个DLC，比单独购买DLC节约了18%的金钱。日前官方就表示他们将会延长季票2个月的有效期，这意味着购买季票的玩家就能够额外获得两个免费的DLC包。
据报道这两个新DLC均包含10辆新跑车，这样一来季票总共可为玩家们带来90辆新跑车。其中第一个新DLC包将于2014年5月30日发售，售价为9.99美元。而第二个DLC包的情报还有待公开，还请玩家们耐心等待。

《极限竞速5》最新DLC公布 相关宣传影像放出
《极限竞速5》是XBOX One的首发游戏，此前游戏已经于2013年11月22日发售。自本作发售后，官方不断放出DLC包，为大家带来了更多新跑车和新赛道，持续扩充着游戏内容。而日前官方再度放出了新DLC“Hot Wheels Car Pack”，本次的DLC增加了10辆新跑车，其售价为7.99英镑/9.99美元，而已经购买季票的玩家则可免费获得该DLC。
