Nexon America Invites You to #PlayDirty in Dirty Bomb

Nexon America and Splash Damage have changed the name of their upcoming online shooter from Extraction to Dirty Bomb, to better fit the game's unique personality. The company promises this will "almost definitely" be the last name change before launch. Nexon also has announced it will run dedicated servers for Dirty Bomb in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Developed by UK-based Splash Damage, Dirty Bomb is a competitive multiplayer online first-person shooter, and the first in a new generation of games published by Nexon America. Free-to-play, and more importantly, free-to-win, Dirty Bomb is a unique team-based game in which players will select from a diverse group of mercenaries, each with their own very different personalities, talents and weapons, to create specialized squads to take into the fray on a quest for riches and bragging rights.

Through Splash Damage's founder's program, player feedback has shaped the game from day one, and will continue to do so through open beta later this year.

Dirty Bomb is currently in a limited closed beta and will be ramping up in the coming months. Visit dirtybombgame.com to sign up for the chance to join the closed beta or for more information on Dirty Bomb.

About Dirty Bomb

It is 2020 and the once great city of London stands abandoned after a mysterious disaster, a dilapidated shell of its former self. After the initial evacuation, the International Crisis and Disaster Agency stepped in to clean up the mess and decontaminate the city. They failed? badly.

Now the streets of London are the playground of Private Military Companies (PMCs) who battle to control the city's abandoned riches. After all, what's a little radiation sickness when there's money to be made?

《脏弹》首个游戏视频发布，枪战游戏为主流

　　《脏弹》这款游戏是基于Unreal Engine引擎而研发的，它的游戏背景设定在英国伦敦，而本视频中的场景，正式在伦敦大桥上的一次火力交锋。

　　上个月，官方已经在consoles上发布了《脏弹》这款游戏，而下一款发布的游戏已经初步定为《RAD陆战队》同样是一款设计类型的游戏，发布平台是iOS率先，而日期方面则拟定在2013年6月份。

我大多数都是这个时间上来更新一点新闻，因为晚上海外的网站Reload很慢。

Brink你玩过的话就不会说Dirty Bomb差不多和COD一样。Brink也可以说是Dirty Bomb的外传因为是同一间公司制作。但是Graphic要求蛮高的。

我的配置都超过上面但是全开最低感觉玩起来有点慢慢Slow Motion的。
你也知道射击游戏如果Slow Motion的话就抓不到游戏的乐趣。

刚看了看那个 youtube 的movie..
这游戏看起来蛮吃力的-- 我怕我的显卡支持不到

是啊。我也觉得。

这游戏和电脑玩的话很难玩反而和玩家玩的话一定要有耐心。不然一直在那边循环知道任务完成为止。

不知道这次的作品有没有选择职业呢。

那个试玩我就没有去注册。因为Splash Damage游戏真的做的很好，所以应该不会让人失望。所以要玩的话直接等发售日去买来玩。但是我要玩的话就得先买一架新电脑才能入手。

After being called upon to create the multiplayer maps for Doom 3, the team used that game’s technology and design tools as building blocks for the acclaimed Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and its first multi-platform title, Brink, which further established Splash Damage as a Triple-A game developer.

We love Dirty Bomb, but we're not blind. Between the natural difficulty of the game, that it's not another "BattleCall Strike of Honor" and that we're still working on improving the user interface that would be most useful to answering these questions, we're aware that not everything about Dirty Bomb is crystal clear.

Closed Beta FAQ

Now that Dirty Bomb is back for good we’re sure you have some burning questions- read the FAQ below and see if we've covered that for you:

Q. Is Dirty Bomb going to be pay-to-win?

A. Nope! Dirty Bomb will be free-to-win, meaning that all gameplay affecting content will be obtainable without spending a penny. There will, however, be options to purchase items through the Steam Wallet to enhance your experience. For example, while we’ll have two free Mercs at all times, and a free rotation of additional Mercs, some Mercs also will be available to purchase with Credits (earned) or currency (paid).

Players also can purchase Cases. Equipment Cases, which can include all Standard Loadout Cards of all rarities, can be "bought" with Credits or obtained as Drops, and more Cases may be added as time goes on.

Q. Is Dirty Bomb still free-to-play?

A. Dirty Bomb is free-to-play and, more importantly, free-to-win. We’ve always believed that multiplayer battles should be won through superior skill and team work, and not the amount of money spent.

However, for the remainder of the Closed Beta, we’ll be allowing players to obtain access through Starter Packs, all items within purchasable through Credits as well. See the Starter Pack page for full details.

Q. Will you be sending out any more keys?

A. We certainly will! Check our social channels often for giveaways and the like and of course sign up here for the best chance at getting access, and every Thursday, starting April 2nd, we'll be sending out additional keys.

Q. What’s different about this Beta Phase?

A. While its true that we’ve been turning the Closed Beta on and off a lot over the last few months, this time is different. There will be no more stress tests, no more wipes, no more shuttering of the service for a few weeks. Barring any unforeseen complications (it’s still a Beta for a reason!), Dirty Bomb will be always on and available for play, only going down for the occasional, brief maintenance.

Q. So, when will Dirty Bomb be released?

A. Good question! Ask us again later!

While we’re just as eager as everyone else for Dirty Bomb to be available for everyone to enjoy, we’re not quite ready to open the floodgates and let everyone in. We here at Nexon and Splash Damage want to make sure the experience is finely tuned and of the highest possible quality, and unfortunately that means that we need to take things slow for now.

Q. Now that you’re selling things for real money, what will happen if there’s another wipe?

A. In order for us to begin selling items for real money, we knew Dirty Bomb would need to be complete enough that there would be no need for any more progression or inventory wipes. While Closed Betas can be somewhat hazardous, we feel Dirty Bomb is in the right place for us to take this step, and as such there are no plans to do any future progression or inventory wipes.

In short, we don’t plan to wipe Dirty Bomb; we’re on the home stretch!

Q. What Mercs are available right now? When will we be getting new ones?

A. Aura and Skyhammer will always be unlocked and you will have the following Mercs available to purchase with credits:

Proxy - Vassili - Sawbonez - Arty - Fragger

There are many more colorful Mercs just waiting in the sidelines and we’ll roll them out on a regular basis, including the free Merc rotation!

Q. What Maps do we get?

A. Maps available:

Terminal - Trainyard - Chapel - Bridge - Underground

There’s still a long way to go before we’re ready to open up the floodgates, so keep your eyes peeled as we get keep moving forward towards our full release!

Dirty Bomb Now in Open Beta on Steam

Go toe-to-toe with fellow soldiers of fortune in the Open Beta for Splash Damage® Ltd.’s free-to-play online shooter Dirty Bomb, available exclusively on Steam to players in North America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand and Brazil. The first in a new generation of “free-to-win” games published by Nexon America, Inc., Dirty Bomb is an asymmetrical team-based game in which players will build a squad of specialized Mercenaries, each with their own unique personalities and abilities, to take into the fray on a quest for riches and bragging rights. For a quick primer on how to make a buck in bombed-out future London, check out the “Open for Business” trailer.

“Today marks a huge achievement in our studio’s history. Players in Dirty Bomb’s Open Beta will initially find 12 Mercs to fill out their squad. Two Mercs – Combat Medic Aura and Fire-Support Specialist Skyhammer – are always available free to players, and there will be a variation of additional Mercs free on an ongoing basis. To kick off the Open beta, the following Mercs will be in free rotation beginning Wednesday, June 3:

• Kira, a powerful tactical character who can rain down hell from above with her Orbital Laser Strike, perfect for clearing out defenses and campers

• Sawbonez, a frontline support medic equipped with a Submachine Gun and Defibrillator Paddles, who is highly effective at reviving his teammates to full health

• Fragger, an aggressive pointman and straight-up player-slayer, with a big gun, lots of ammo, and devastating Frag grenades

Players also have the option of purchasing Mercs for their squad, including long-range sniper Vassili and the Minigun-toting walking tank, Rhino.

The Open Beta launches with five maps and two modes for players to put to the test. New content will continuously be added to Dirty Bomb in the coming months, whether in finished form, or prototype content for the community to try out and provide feedback on.
